Interior shot of Toronto neighbourhoods

UPDATE: Success!!! Went back to @wallaceespresso and this time when I ordered a sweet and creamy iced coffee I got the Americano with medium roast. A thousand times better! Had some beautiful deep flavour that I thoroughly enjoyed without being bitter. Well balanced! 4 1/2 out of 5 wooden . Super nice people and great customer service. Past Post: Their cold brew iced coffee was a tad weak for me! Not super flavourful, sadly! What a shame. I had high hopes! Got it with cream and syrups but it still was not very sweet and the coffee was not strong enough. Via Instagram they offered me a refund and said that their iced Americano will stand up to the cream and sugar better so I will go back and try it. Excellent customer service so I would like to support them and hope I will report back with a better review

Cool wall art for sale

3.5 stars ... price is decent value and it appears to be a nice little neighbourhood spot. Quick note... cash only! Wallace Espresso is a quiet little place that seems to cater well to the neighbourhood. Nothing pretentious ... no gimmicks or fussy drinks. Just good cups poured for you. The place itself is quite small with no real seating and a bit bare bones. There is a tiny bar stool seating for 2 in the front but that's it. In the warmer moments, they do have several benches outside for you to sit on the side walks. Service here is prompt and polite. Flat White - I always appreciate when the barista spends the time to make a really great latte art. This one does stand out as one of the better ones lately. As for flavour, it was much better than the one we had that morning. This bean was acidic and mildly bitter but not too sour ... personally I like a deeper flavour towards the nuttiness. I dont think this is a bad cup at all but not my personal coffee bean favourite. 3.5/5 Overall, cute little spot and I can understand the local neighborhood love. For everyone else, if you're in the neighbourhood this would be a decent spot to try but for me, I may try other spots before heading back to this one.

$2 any size for drip coffee - how can you beat that? The staff are friendly and even the regulars that go there are as well. I haven't had any lattes, but I plan to the next time. It's a great cafe as a stopover for a quick pick-me-up or to catch up with an old friend with quite a few seating options inside and out. Overall: Very affordable for delicious roasts. Will come back and totally recommend for anyone in the neighbourhood.

The best Flat White in Tdot!

A great local coffee shop located in the Lansdowne/Wallace area. The place to go was previously Cafe Neon, but after I found out about Wallace Espresso, this is my new spot for caffeine in the West End. It's small and they barely have any room to stand let alone sit, but I'm always on the go, so it's perfect. The service is quick, but there's often a line up and with only one barista you'll have to wait a bit. Most of the servers are friendly and I must say the choice of music is always great. I love drinking my Flat White while Schoolboy Q plays in the background. With any size drip coffee @ $2 and the best Flat White on the West End, this place is a bargain compared to Cafe Neon and even Starbucks. They've got my business!

After years of having this place on my radar, a friend and I finally came here for breakfast and we…read morewere not disappointed. We arrived shortly after they opened, the aesthetic is eclectic and simple. The seating arrangements are comfortable and available indoors and outdoors. We both got their classic breakfast with double smoked bacon; I opted for a beer ginger drink and my friend ordered a chai latte with oat milk. She really enjoyed her drink, and it was a decent size. Whereas my beer and ginger juice was delicious yet on the small side, especially since ice cubes took up a lot of space. As for the meal itself, the eggs with crème fraîche was out of this world! They were the most delicious eggs I've ever eaten. I wish the portion was slightly bigger. The double smoked bacon was perfectly cooked and not greasy. It was thick and not overly salty. They fill up the rest of the plate with 3-4 slices of sourdough and I appreciated that they butters the toast and offered us jam. Overall the plate was fresh and delicious. I' savoured each bite. The service was good, attentive and friendly. Towards the end of our meal, it was getting busy and the noise volume increased, so just a heads up to anyone who doesn't like loud spaces. The music was on point though and I can imagine on a warmer day, the patio would also be a cool vibe to experience. One note I feel is needed to mention is the bathroom. I almost missed the steps descending down to the bathroom because the area is poorly lit. This is a safety issue. Secondly, if you're tall like me, the stalls are very tight and claustrophobic. I barely had any room in the stall and it was very uncomfortable; be careful if you're bringing your purse/phone cause there's no space and I could easily see how things can drop in the toilet. I would highly recommend the business investing into this a little more.

Walking in it is cozy but loud. Ambiance is like a hipster bar. We didn't have any reservations but…read morethere was bar seating available. There is a standing coat rack near the entrance. The entrance is two sets of doors so no draft when people come in and out! They have a very extensive cocktail and wine menu. There are also plates du jour (an entree and dessert). I ordered the duck confit over crispy rice and orange sauce. My companions ordered the chicken with maitake mushrooms and the burger. We shared the crème brûlée and basque cheesecake. I really enjoyed my dish! The duck was cooked perfectly. Duck was moist and flavorful. The crispy rice gave it a nice texture and helped make it a more filling dish. The orange sauce is a classic pairing with duck. The basque cheesecake has some delicious cherries! But the cheesecake itself was a little more burnt than I personally prefer. The crème brûlée had a very thick caramelized layer on top. But the creme was smooth and sweet. It'd be a great spot for a date night. But those with sensitive ears should proceed with caution. For three people I think it was about $135 CAD maybe $160 CAD after tax and tip.

They have plenty of seating, from tables and chairs to more lounge type couches and such. Wifi was also really solid, which we appreciated being in from the States (crazy data charges, you know!). Staff was beyond friendly and knowledgeable and we had a great time chatting with them. Great tunes played inside with plenty of fantastic vinyl to choose from to boot.

We came today and ordered the durian coffee, Viet latte, and durian basque cheesecake. The order did take a while to come out maybe 15 minutes. The durian coffee had real sweet durian in it so I enjoyed that one very much that the flavours just worked. The Viet latte was tasty and not too sweet. For the dessert, I could not appreciate the durian taste but the cheesecake itself wasn't too sweet and quite rich. I think we maybe came here on an off-day and would come by to try it again. The actual store is quite pretty and I love how they decorated everything Vietnam-themed. There is one washroom as well.
