I hired Tax Network USA on March 4, 2026, and paid the company $400 to prepare my 2024 federal income tax return. I provided the information and authorization they requested and expected the service I paid for to be performed. It wasn't. On March 28, my assigned case manager, Amber Shah, told me they were waiting for information from the IRS and that my return should be ready for my signature in approximately a week or two. Months passed. Tax Network USA never prepared my 2024 tax return. I eventually had to hire another tax preparation company. That company was able to prepare my return in approximately three weeks. What I subsequently learned from the IRS made my experience with Tax Network USA even more troubling. When I contacted the IRS in August, I was told that the IRS had received the Form 2848 associated with Tax Network USA on March 4, but IRS records at that time showed no requests for my tax information and nothing sent out in response to Tax Network USA. After months of apparent inactivity--and only after this matter had escalated--IRS representatives later told me that requests for my tax information were made between August 31 and September 3. The IRS told me the requested information was transmitted electronically the same day. By then, I had already hired another company to prepare my return. I sent Tax Network USA a formal demand for resolution and gave the company 10 business days to respond. That deadline expired without a response. The issue is not simply that I was dissatisfied with customer service. I paid $400 for preparation of my 2024 tax return, waited for months, received assurances that did not result in a completed return, and ultimately had to pay another company to do the work. I have preserved my emails, payment records, IRS communications, authorization documents, and the chronology of what occurred. I have also taken steps to revoke Tax Network USA's authority to access my IRS information and have pursued the matter through appropriate complaint and dispute channels. Consumers entrust tax preparation companies with money and extraordinarily sensitive personal and financial information. That requires accountability, communication, transparency, and performance. Based on my documented experience, I would not use Tax Network USA again, and I cannot recommend this company to others.

It took many months for IRS to respond to their letter (partly due to the government shutdown that was going on during the time).
