I don't recommend this place to anyone for their tax services. You will get ignored by Edgar and all your business taxes are filled wrong. If you own a dealer all ROS numbers are put randomly which doesn't match to the original ROS numbers and all the amount of the car sales the selling prices are guessed. Today is July 15th 2020, it is due date for me to file tax for this year. Edgar got my tax info since early of this month. I keep calling and follow up with him by text and phone call many times, he does not response to me. I keep follow up since it is due date already today until now almost 7pm tonight , I still not heard from him not even text or call. I cannot even see the draft tax. The website , that he can mention anything so nice or trust able company that you can trust and rely on. The reality is he does not even text you back or return your call back to let you know what is going on with your tax. If you like to choose someone to do tax for you , please avoid this company because they are not responsible and does not care about if you will file tax on time or not. They does not have any ethical. I have to face penalty for the late file tax only because of unresponsible and unethical company that I waste my time with. I looked on line for tax experts to complete my small business taxes and found Edgar and Sam from Benchmark Tax Solutions with great reviews, set up appointment to meet with them and I was amazed how knowledgeable and professional they were, once I had all my documents submitted to them they told me in couple days it will be done, sure enough they called me couple days later and informed me they were all done, They even included my son that is in college full time and worked part time for very reasonable price as well, Benchmark Tac Solutions explained to me the process of electronically payment and credit options from the IRS. Once I decided it was very smooth processed. If you use these guys, review your returns before allowing them to be submitted to IRS. Even if you think you don't know a thing about taxes, look them over. They made mistakes that I found as soon as I looked. Unfortunately, the return had already been filed. When I pointed out a $150 error, Edgar first suggested it was too small an amount to be concerned with, then refunded me their entire fee and stopped responding altogether. I'm pretty sure I see more mistakes and now have to find someone else to see if the mistakes warrant amending my return. I have hired people to do my taxes many times over the years, and until Benchmark, no one has ever submitted them before I was given a chance to look them over. I don't blame Edgar or Sam much for the mistakes, we all make mistakes, but I do wish they had taken responsibility for theirs instead of refunding me and disappearing. "Who you gonna call? Benchmark.." I am typically a skeptic when I'm asking for recommendations. I now see how important word of mouth truly is. I had recently found myself in a very frustrating position regarding my income taxes. W2 and 1099, the whole thing. I went to a local tax place, Liberty. They took twice as long and wanted twice as much ($600). I wasn't in any position to pay that. Feeling defeated, a friend of mine suggested I try Benchmark Tax Solutions. I can't even begin to explain how happy I am now that I have worked with them. Distressed, I called Benchmark and got a voicemail after a few rings. Although I had a relatively simple tax return- no home ownership, no itemization- Benchmark forgot to look at an entire page of my material I had submitted to them, and therefore they left out dividends earned. I called them, and they never followed up with me although I sent them the letter from the IRS as they requested. This mistake cost me the tax due, of course, and over $200 in interest. They fit me in right away and even with a last minute cancellation they were able to fit me in an reschedule immediately. That day traffic was bad and they were very patient although I showed up beyond my appointment time. 2- They helped me with both my llc tax prep and individual w2 return. In both cases I walked away more knowledgeable and less stressed, just knowing the information they gave me that I hadn't learned with H&R block or with past preparers.
