My husband and I have been going to SecuriTax for taxes for a long time. And we are blessed for having Mady as our trustworthy accountant and financial advisor for all these years. He is a dedicated professional who is always ready to listen to his clients for what they need, and he will do his best to provide the best service to each one of his client. He is passionate for what he does; he is supportive and caring with a professional manner. Plus, he has a great team at the office! We are very grateful to Mady and his great team for all the wonderful service and support that they have done for us throughout these meaningful years :) read more

I couldn't find any personal tax preparer recs so I found this place on Yelp and took a chance (a chance backed by many Yelpers). In fact, I called a couple of places and could tell over the phone that Mady was knowledgeable. I recommend calling and speaking to the EA or CPA or whomever you are planning to use to get an idea of how they can help you with your tax scenario. I made an appointment, spoke to Mady briefly, and then returned a week later to pick up my tax return. My first impression was that Debbie and Mady are both laid back people with good senses of humor and seem to approach their clients and work with friendliness and respect. Debbie who makes the appointments and looks like she helps in many ways, was very nice and managed all the paperwork I emailed. Mady is personable and knowledgeable and I was very happy that he went over my entire tax return with me and answered all my questions. The office has a few different sections so don't be afraid to ask for privacy if you feel more comfortable discussing your taxes (without anyone else in the room waiting). They happily accommodated my request. I got money back and in legit, legal ways. Mady does not seem to cut corners, while still making sure I got all the breaks and benefits I could. Their office also seems organized - important for a tax office. They also always answered the phone when I called. Street parking is easy in the area. Call and make an appointment first. They take checks (or Visa/Mastercard with a $5 service fee). I was charged $250 which I think was reasonable. I was happy with how my return was handled and will definitely be back next year. Thanks Debbie & Mady! read more

Don't come here unless you want to be audited by the IRS. I have NO idea how this place gets five stars from anybody. Lord knows, we fell for these reviews and paid the price. Of the three years of taxes he prepared we were audited for one and paid a penalty on another. This is, hands down, the WORST accountant I've ever had, and I once had that guy in Encino who doctored so many of his clients returns he lost his license to practice, and even *then* I didn't get audited. Mady seems clueless and many times would tell us conflicting information while you play twenty questions trying to get an answer out of him. There were times where we really started to wonder whether he was stupid or he had some kind of progressive dementia setting in (Not a joke). The difference in having a conversation from the first year to the third was dramatic and not reassuring when you're overwhelmed with a federal audit. All of which is compounded by his staff who seem to live by the adage 'the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.' So you'll get a request for information and you'll answer it only to have the other person contact you days later requesting the same information. And then you'll show up and get asked if you ever sent that information. Or calling to confirm your appointment after you've already been in to their office and had it. And this just happens over and over and over. While prepping for our audit we realized he'd entered numbers twice in different areas of the form, and in one case, entered half of our payroll expenses. Basically the entire preparation was a mess and we doubted it was double checked before being submitted. So once it went into the system the irregularities got picked up and we got tagged for an audit. At one point we were on the phone with the IRS and the woman we were speaking to just sighed and said, "Your accountant really doesn't know what he's doing." Yikes. Basically everything this company touches is suspect and we're actually coughing up the money to have the other two years redone by our new accountant. *That's* how little trust we have in the competence of SecuriTax. Look, when we Yelped this guy he had, like, 25 reviews, mostly positive, so I can only assume the suddenly pushing 50 positive reviews are the result of a Cambodian clickfarm. Don't take the bait. TL;DR Stay. Away. read more

I had to update my review because they were not helpful after the taxes were processed. Dealing with the IRS is a mission and they're supposed to help and hey don't read more

He was kind enough to sit down with me in April and review my 14&15 return from another firm for a free consultant. Gave some honest feedback and ran numbers for me so I can get a better picture of my business costs. His cost for doing the filling is higher than what I pay but I it that was just a quote to say no, Not interested. Fine by me, not bitter about it. read more

I will now be going to Mady for all my future tax needs. I recently got audited by the IRS and was in a very stressful and confusing situation. Mady helped me to understand the CP2000 notice and walked me through the entire process of completing an Amended Tax Return, all for a free consultation. As a young professional, Mady even gave me quality advice on financial planning, investing, saving, and just how to be smart with your money. Mady is very kind, smart, thorough, and genuinely cares about his clients. I can't recommend him highly enough. See for yourself, you won't be disappointed! read more

Mady is exceptional! Last week I went to his office to catch up on much needed tax work. I'm the CEO of a real estate investment company. Mady put everything aside to help me and was very thorough. He put the time and energy into my situation and I'm happy to say I'm glad he's my accountant. I recommend you go see Mady today! The yelp reviews do no lie - you will not be disappointed going to SecuriTax and working with Mady. As a newbie to doing taxes, Mady took his time to explain to me everything he was doing so I understood both what was happening and more importantly, why you decide on certain things when doing taxes. He even took the time to show me what happens when he do different exemptions so I could see the results and understand WHY one decision was better than another. I left my appointment with my taxes done and learned so much in the process. Pricing was very reasonable, especially with the quality and friendliness that Mady and everyone at SecuriTax provided. read more

Mady is the absolute best! I had some troubling tax issues from several years back and the came back to roost their ugly heads. With my permission, Mady called the IRS on my behalf and we got down to business with all the specifics. My biggest suggestion is to make an appointment, as he works with a TON of corporations and has several returning customers; especially close to tax time. read more

Absolutely loved the services provided this tax season. The Securitate office is small and you get a very one on one experience. I had my taxes done here this year. It was just a w-4 and a few 1099's and they were very quick. I was given a hand out where of time to guide me through deductions and the actual meeting took about an hour. Fair pricing and a flexible schedule will bring me bald next year. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Much better service, cost and environment than H&R Block. Went again 2017. Still the best. read more

I am working with Mady on balancing my accounts with CA state and the IRS. We are handling tax liabilities, that I have created over the past six (6) years and it has been a very empowering process. Last month I met with the IRS with Mady on my side and we were able to come to a peaceful solution to my problem. I feel that I am getting a fresh start with my business and an optimistic attitude towards the future. He is knowledgeable and he is fearless when it comes to dealing with State and Federal agencies. If you are looking for someone you can trust and knows what he is doing Mady Yehia is your man. read more

Excellent excellent accountant and tax advisor. We had a small biz that was growing and needed tax and growth advice. Mady and staff were welcoming, empathetic, and very informative. We left with our taxes done, a plan for next year's finance and tax strategy, and a great experience with a real professional. We spent a couple hundred bucks to save $10k. We have had lots of interactions with professionals, and Mady and crew are among the best we have experienced. This is the kind of professional relationship we all need. read more

2015 was my first year in business for myself. While I did make a good log of all of my expenses and income throughout the year, and saved all of my receipts, I had NO CLUE how to sort things out, being that some of my business was done under my DBA while some was done under my name. I was afraid that I was going to owe a ton! Mady made my month! He was incredibly friendly (the office staff is awesome as well), informative, understanding of my situation, professional, and experienced. Considering the enormous amount of help he provided me, his prices were extremely reasonable! THANK YOU MADY!!! BEST TAX PREPARER EVER!!!! read more

I was first referred to Mady Yahia at Securitax Financial through a family friend about three years ago. Mady provides a knowledgeable, concise, and clear approach to assist you in collecting your information prior to your meeting as well preparing your documents during your meeting to review your tax information. All documents are submitted to the proper authorities in a quick amount of time. When we first met I was struggling with an audit - first by the IRS and then by the state. I was feeling very overwhelmed, but he got me through each step with ease. I am very grateful for his knowledge and assistance. read more

I had to file my 1099 and my w2. I went to HR Block (across the street from Securitax), and HR block was charging way too much, and I felt like they were just herding cattle in and out. I saw SecuriTax from across the street and went over. I was greeted by Mady and he was helpful and nice. He really took his time to explain what I needed to gather. In the end he got me a lot more money than HR Block would've. This has also been the easiest experience when filing taxes and now I know where to go next year. Thanks again, Mady! Sorry it took me so long to write this review. read more

My wife and I were first recommended to him last year. Last year was our first year filing together and it was also our first year not doing it online ourselves. We were very happy with our experience with Mady that we vowed to come back every year. We don't really live close, about 50 miles, which seems longer due to Southern California traffic. But we just completed our 2nd year of taxes with him and he makes every minute of the drive worth it. read more

Mady is fantastic and gave great advice! Was recommended to him via a friend and I am sticking with him for this year as well!

Came here after not feeling comfortable with H&R blocks capabilities and actual knowledge of taxes. After reading reviews on here I reached out and he made it very easy to schedule a last minute appointment with him on a Sunday! He was patient , and very good at explaining everything he was doing as well as actually making an effort to write things off he knew he could. He got me almost $1,000 more back and charged me $150 less than H&R block! He's definitely got a customer for life! read more

Highly recommended by the owner of the company I work with for my personal taxes as well as some tricky 1099s. I've been familiar with Mady's work for the past 4 years since he takes care of a lot of accounting and tax issues for the company I work for. For the second consecutive year I had a great experience here. Mady left no stone unturned in order to find me the best return and find write offs I would of never knew of. HR Block sure has more locations but their prices are outrages and the sit down with their 'experts' is like pulling teeth. SecuriTax not only knowledgeable but friendly. thanks again. read more

We had some complex tax issues this year which led us to being late in filing, long story short one of our employers never gave us our tax document so we were unsure what was reported. With the help of Mady at Securitax Financial Services he was able to find out what was reported and helped us put together out tax return with very little fuss. Fast and friendly service along with some good advice I highly recommend this company will definitely be using them this comig year and probably for many years to come. read more

Just had my taxes done and could not be any happier with the services received here! I'm from NYC and had been getting my taxes still done by my tax accountant in NYC for the past 17 years! I was so afraid to make the change but so glad I finally did. Mady 1st did a free consultation with me and answered all my questions and put me at ease. I'm a nurse and my husband is a teacher we have a lot of itermized deductions, Mady sat with me and gave me a cheat sheet for us to use so we could put all our numbers. Later I dropped off my information and today Mady went through each line item to explain all the numbers and my refund. He is so easy going and makes you feel so comfortable! Just wonderful! We had the most positive experience! Mady was so great; taking time to explain things to us and help us correct past mistakes. He also helped us file for our son, who has a disability. His office manager, Debbie, was also amazing! When we had to cancel and reschedule and then reschedule *again* (within the same hour!) due to a medical emergency, she not only accommodated us but helped me feel much less stressed about it all. Mady got everything filed for us on the day we came in and even made sure we got the biggest refund by having us check our son's return. We've found our tax guy! read more

An excellent place to have taxes prepared! A few years ago, after being unable to reach my last tax preparer, I was fortunate enough to discover SecuriTax. Professional, knowledgeable, thorough, friendly, and accommodating are just a few words to describe my experience with Mady at SecuriTax Financial Services. Additionally, he'll take the necessary time to answer any questions you have and explain your return.
