Hanane was not bad at the beginning when I was a new client. She was responsive and answered all of my questions. As I stayed with her since 2020 tax return, she became unresponsive in 2025 and more expensive. I had to follow up three times to only get a two-word response after 6 days that did not answer any questions or resolve any issues. Then I followed up again to get a resolution and answers. She didn't reply at all. This is not how a repeat, loyal client should be treated. As tax deadline was approaching, I found another accountant that was much more responsive, answered all questions, and filed my taxes in a timely manner. UPDATE: I have emails for all of these. So does Hanane. I'm surprised Hanane mentioned this review is incorrect. She's been filing my taxes starting 2020 tax return. I've been her repeat, loyal client since then. I mentioned she became unresponsive in 2025. I did not mention she increased her price every year. I followed up three times only to get a two-word response after 6 days and then my last attempt to follow up did not receive any response. Hanane mentioned she kept helping me? How so? Hanane asked how she could prepare my tax returns when I couldn't provide her with my tax documents? How could I submit my files when I didn't receive a response or resolution to provide my tax documents? She mentioned all every other client could access her portal. Every other accountant that I've worked with also was able to provide a portal that worked for me. It is disappointing to receive a response like this after being a loyal, repeat client to provide her business for years since 2020 tax return. I had always used TurboTax, but this year I had a more complicated situation so I decided to go with a local professional I could more easily consult and communicate with in real time. I am a bit of a procrastinator, so by the time I reached out to Hanane, it was a pretty busy time for her in the middle of tax season. During our initial phone call she listened as I explained my situation and concerns and asked me a set of questions to get a clearer idea of everything, and quoted me a price. From there, it was just a matter of me getting my ducks in a row, gathering all my docs and uploading them into the secure portal for her to work with. When asked, she was up-front about the turnaround time (due to how busy she was) for completion, which I was fine with. (She delivered on time as promised.) Hanane is terrific. I found her to not only be reliable but pleasant to deal with (which is something I value and not always easy to find). She was patient in answering my questions and understanding of my concerns. Hanane is an amazing tax preparer!! Hanane hadn't heard back from me and followed up with me via email the evening of the tax deadline. I thought I'd need an extension, but Hanane very kindly explained that it wouldn't be necessary - she just needed a few documents. Taxes have never been so easy!! She prepared everything - State and IRS - and submitted them online for me. (Obviously, getting my authorization & signatures first.) And she charged me much less than I had expected! For my most recent taxes, because of a clerical error mix-up between my financial advisor and my Roth IRA, money became mis-accounted during implementing a conversion from my traditional IRA to my Roth IRA. It took many hours of phone calls for me to try to figure it out and ultimately my financial adviser was on a conference call with Hanane and me.
