She didn't even try to properly diagnose them and just ordered an X-ray. Their directions for X-rays were totally inaccurate. It wasted my time. When I called them back, the front desk person was not helpful, and it wasn't easy to get in touch with them. Finally, I got the X-ray done. I made another appointment with them. I waited over a month before I got to see the doctor again. This time was with the husband. He just looked at the X-ray quickly and recommended PHP. He didn't diagnose my knees either. Somehow, I went ahead with the PHP that day. He said it's not covered by insurance and it costs $900, which I paid right there. The PHP worked for a month or so, but it wore off quickly. And they also claimed my insurance, which I questioned with no definite answer from them. I called and emailed their admin who takes care of billing, but they were silent and cricket. It was a total waste of my time and money. Please stay away from them. Recently, I met a doctor friend who used to know this couple. He didn't recommend them. I wished I knew before and had gone to Stanford instead.

It really is difficult to get hold of the front desk as well. The whole entire appointment itself took less than 10 minutes majorly discussing about insurance coverage for the MRI that I requested to take since his wife informed that if there is no pain in the ankle that I had due to a previous fracture injury then there's nothing much to do. She didn't even think about observing it but with her two eyes and told me not to worry since it's from previous damaged tissues around the ligaments which I can even observe that myself. Despite filling out the online pre check in form you still have to fill out multiple papers of new patient forms; really disappointed with her bedside manner nonetheless the professionalism from her. I requested to see a doctor who can listen to my concerns NOT the billing department. Cancelled the whole entire MRI and seeking for a new orthopedic doctor. Good luck.

If you are a high performing athlete trying to recover or improve, Doug and the Movement Health Science team are all you need. This state of the art sports lab uses the latest hardware and software only seen in the NBA, NFL, MLB, etc to provide you with the right data and analytics. My evaluation went as the following: I was ecstatically greeted by Doug (the owner) who empathized with my injuries and was determined to do everything in his power to get me back in the game. Out of over 20+ physical therapists that I have seen, Doug is by far the most positive, sympathetic, and passionate, who knew exactly what to do to get me better. He first took my vitals, analyzed my running gait using some form of movement capture, measured my pressure on force plates, evaluated my strength using some expensive contraption, and had me perform several dynamic movements. After this, Doug provided me with some customized programming and actively checked on me to ensure I was making progress. 2 months later, and my back & knee pain are non-existent. I can continue running at the highest level, without sacrificing my body. A HUGE thank you to Doug and his team for fixing me, and without him, my running career would have been over. Do yourself a favor and just book an appointment; this will be the best decision you've ever made, if you're a serious athlete.

I tried braces and some homeopathic treatments but nothing was really helping. Doug was recommended to me by a coworker and I decided to give it a shot. He analyzed my running gait and thigh strength and gave a me series of suggestions and exercises to reduce strain on my knee. Doug clearly knows his stuff and patiently explained to me the reasoning behind these exercises and what benefits they would provide. I still have some knee issues but have noticed improvements following the suggestions Doug gave me, I'm looking forward to a follow-up visit and would recommend Movement Health Science to anyone with similar issues.

In my life I've experienced PT a few times, in recent years a work injury had placed me in a…read moreposition where I've had more than my share of PT. In my experience, it has always started with a discussion, followed by some sort of massage, ultra sound and even cupping (prep and loosen up). Then I go into various exercises and finally some sort of heat and/or ice. On leaving I am provided with some instructions and (occasionally) given bands, balls, putty, etc. for in home use. My experience at California Rehab and Sports Therapy was nothing like I was used to. To start with the front end staff was not very welcoming. The initial person that evaluated me, seemed to want me to answer their question a certain way, rather than listen to what my current injuries were in order to properly treat me. I wasn't being heard. I was then given over to someone for various exercises. The place is rather small and packed with patients. Afterwards I was given some instructions but no take home things (such as bands etc). On my 3 visits it seemed to only get worse, the person(s) working with me would also be working with 3-4 others at the same time (one gentleman was nice and apologized every time he returned). I was then told to do a side step (with a band on my knees) as I was trying patients and therapists would walk in front of me and get in my way. At every visit I received absolutely no personal attention in the way of massage, tens unit, heat/ cold or any real person attention to my issues or needs. I've always looked forward to PT to help in my care, at this place I dreaded it every single time. I finally reached out to the insurance to transfer me to another PT provider. My normal thing is to reach out to the facility before I review, but their website only allows you to leave your contact info. It's important to note that their reviews here are awful, so I'm not alone. It seems like a place with a ton of locations geared for mass patients and not individual care and personal help (this is evident in that it all open space with no private areas for specialized care). Good medical care is difficult to find, and it's not to much to ask for decent service and individual attention to help the patient. In my opinion, a total fail!!!

They work as a team so you can have different people help you with exercises. However, you always spend time with your assigned PT. The exercises and stretches I was assigned to do are helpin.
