I heard quickly from Lee when other contractors didn't reply or couldn't start the work until after New Year's. Lee quickly answered my phone call, and was very communicative. He replied my texts very quickly. Renovations were started before New Year's and I am able to show the property to prospective tenants earlier rather than later. His prices are very reasonable, and he will work with your budget. If you're an owner of an investment property, from out of state, he will work with you. Not only did Lee finished quickly, I was surprised to hear from him on a Saturday evening.

I reached out to him by text on a Monday, and he responded the same day. After I provided a few high-level details about the project, he scheduled a walkthrough that same week to provide an estimate. Matthew's quote included a clear breakdown of the costs for each part of the job, which I appreciated. Once I reviewed the estimate, we scheduled the work. On the day of the project, Matthew arrived on time--actually a little early, which was a nice surprise. He was friendly, professional, and completed the job a little earlier than originally estimated.

I chose Bryan based on his Yelp review and on the professionalism he demonstrated when he came to…read moreprovide an estimate. Although I only hired him to do one of the three rooms, his company did such an excellent job that I will hire him to do the other work when I am ready. The house had insulation blown in 14 years ago, and there are indentations in all of the walls where this was done. Unlike a previous painter I hired to refresh other rooms, Bryan's painters sanded/filled in-not an expert so I don't know the right term, but the indentations are no longer visible. The room he painted had been charcoal and white for 50+ years and was very dark. Now, it is very bright and refreshing. His workers were professional and efficient and finished the job within the time frame they'd estimated. I highly recommend Bryan for your paint projects.

I experienced very poor communication with Coat of Many Colors despite significant efforts (4-5…read morephone calls resulting in 4-5 voicemails) to connect with Mike Decker or any other company representative by phone or in-person meeting. In response, I received four sporadic text messages with no follow-up responses when replying immediately with follow up requests to connect by phone. On top of poor communication, there was a total lack of regard for accountability in my experience with Coat of Many Colors. A company employee who claimed to be able to provide quotes on behalf of the company, did just that: quoted the project (just a one-day front porch floor that my wife and I had sanded and prepped), aligned on a paint color, and provided an inexact timeline within the next two weeks when the painting would occur. Upon confirming the quote in person, I also called the company to do due diligence and make sure they had the info as well, in case the way it was quoted by an employee was not their normal practice. My call went unanswered, so I shared the details via voicemail with my contact info. Unsurprisingly, I was not called back. When the painters did not show up within the 2-week period, I called again (and was again directed to voicemail). The previously mentioned text messages that I received communicated that their employee "had no idea of the schedule" as if that let them off the hook for providing a quote and timeline. And the next text I received (6 days later despite outreach attempts in between via phone and text) communicated that they would not be able to do the painting until 6 weeks later. I recognize the company may be busy and that the employee who quoted the project should not have provided a timeline, but am significantly disappointed by the communication and lack of accountability from Mike Decker and the Coat of Many Colors to better resolve their error. As a final note, this poor experience is in no way a reflection on the painters themselves, but rather on the management and overarching communication.

They made me feel like my small job was their number one priority. That is super rare these days! First Dan and Scott came and checked out the work needed. They are so professional and super friendly and the results were fantastic. It looks as perfect as the day it was originally done. You cannot tell that any patch work was done at all. And in typical Exceptional One style, they went beyond the list that I prepared and corrected things that I missed. I am sitting here looking at it now and could not be happier. These guys are so great. If I could give 6 stars I would.
