I'm sure if I'd said it was urgent they'd have tried to come sooner. They came out a week or so after I called to check things out and give me a quote. That guy, Matt, and the later handyman were friendly and efficient. Then another few weeks till they came out. I got the disposal and they installed it, plus added a plug under the sink and fixed the wall switch. Took an hour or so. This is the only handyman our dogs haven't barked at when they got here, and never did. He said he has dogs, but sometimes ours go nuts no matter what, on just hearing or smelling a stranger. The roof took maybe half an hour. Again, professional and efficient. Prices seem a little high to me, but it's been awhile since I hired anyone so this may be the new normal. And I used to be able to do some of this stuff but can't now, so, I have to pay someone sometimes. Worth it to have it taken care of.

Jamie came out to look at the project and provide an estimate within a day after he responded to the inquiry. They began the work two days later. This was exceptional as I was not even getting a response from many other contractors or the few that did respond had a month plus lead time. Jamie and a crew of two others came out. I arranged my schedule to work from home. The day of the scheduled work I hadn't heard a confirmation on timeframe and reached out about noon. Jamie responded and said they were getting materials and would arrive shortly. I wished they would have given me a better timeframe and more direct communication at first but they came out and didn't cancel, which is more than other contractors I have tried to work with to complete the project. Once they were at the house they got right to work. They were pleasant to work with and had good manners. It ended up being a two day project. They were a lot more communicative on the second day of when they would be arriving. The work got completed but I wish there would have been more attention to detail. The work outside was good, it technically fixed the leak and they added some extra wood details but sanding the corners of the wood would have been nice. The mold was removed from inside, and I will say my wall was already at an angle, but the drywall repair is kind of raised up. I ended up taking off the trim work that was put along that wall and redid it myself. The caulking was above the trim and not smoothed out so I had to paint over it myself and now it is raised and makes my wall look bumpy. I wouldn't have minded touchup work as long as it was at least smooth. I am appreciative of their quick response to service (especially since I was dealing with mold and a water leak) but would say that detail to work quality should be taken into greater account. I feel like they rushed the work on the second day and I ended up having to finish a couple of things on my own and spending even more money.

Tl;dr - Do not hire for any jobs more complicated then hanging a frame on the wall…read more I really hate posting negative reviews but was promised one day service and it is currently pushing two months. I get it things happen, but that said at this point, I've accepted I've been ghosted and scammed. First off Andrew lists free estimates but charged me $65 the first day he showed up when I asked for a single door installation. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt when he came to the door with only a drill with the wrong bit and quite literally a few loose screws in a bucket (maybe 3-4). But he seemed very polite and responded quickly. He did not do any installation or measurements, but only attempted to adjust the door hinge of a previous door before declaring he could install a new door and redo the trim. The quote was 3 doors in one 8-10 hour day. Lest to say he's probably spent 4-5 "12-hr days" days working on this and not one of the doors close or have trim that he offered to rip out/replace when they were fine. The initial interaction couldn't have been more then 30 minutes but he seemed knowledgable when he pointed out what would make the job difficult but was optimistic he could do it because he's installed doors in similar homes before. I mentioned this would be a difficult task because of my older home but he didn't seem worried at all. Since he didn't know the sizing though, most of the second day he returned was trying to figure out what size door to get -- in which case he bought the wrong size twice and had to exchange them. (I genuinely don't know what the purpose of his first day consult was as he had quoted me before he arrived.) He rented a truck from Lowe's and I had to pay that fee as well, even though he hadn't told me in advance. The transportation of the door easily took 4 hours of his 12 hour day-- in which he was also MIA for two to six hours a day. I originally didn't mind because the rate was set, and he seemed more present the first few days but the last few days he was in my house for maybe an hour at a time-- even though he'd text me saying he'd be right back. A $435 job almost ended up being $2300 after he continued to add things out of scope to fix his precious mistakes-- that is until he stopped showing up completely. He was a one man job, so I wanted to be patient-- consciously offering to help move the doors up and down the stairs in hopes he wouldn't scratch up anything (he left some pretty gnarly dings anyways as he occasionally brought wood up on his own or took the doors back down; my brother and I were in the house and told him to let us know if he needed help moving things but I guess he didn't want the help as he did occasionally take the doors back down if I didn't catch him doing it and helped out). He was really polite the first few days and arguably professional, but he got pretty cranky-- perhaps as the project was not as easy as he had imagined. He also originally asked to be paid for labor after the day was over which I refused-- and I instead only paid for the materials upfront. I could go on for hours, but it's pretty sad as I had noticed a lot of the red flags (like this not being his main gig), but assumed I was being too micromanagey and tried to leave him to do his work when in reality it was all a warranted concern. But dear god like the previous person mentioned please please do not use Andrew's services-- especially for any type of rennovation job. I promise your own workmanship will be cleaner. And you will indefinitely spend more money then the money he promises to save for you.

He claims that he has knowledge of how to do things and completely unimaginably botches it and I am left to clean up his mess, pay for the damages he caused to my house, which included holes in the wall, caulk everywhere even the floor, grout all Over my floors and walls and on my doors. He even managed to scratch luxury Vinyl plank floors. He said he would be cleaning up His mess and left without notice 2 days in a row to go do other jobs. Lying and saying he would be right back, but never came back and ignored my calls and texts . He tried to turn a 1.5 day job , into a 4 or possibly more days worth of , a job. I will never recommend them and I don't care how frugal you are. You will be in a even worse situation financail situation if you let this man do your work. I would have it better myself. I hate having to leave bad reviews on locally owned small businesses, but this man has no respect for time, or motivation to do things right. If I could give this service zero stars I would 100% do so. Please please please. Save yourself the trouble. Be smarter than I was.
