The groomer called and said "your baby is ready" haha the way he said it was just so funny and loving you can tell they really care for their clients as if they were theirs . In a world where bad reviews can break a small business, I feel compelled to elaborate on my personal experience with Danna and her Park your Bark staff. I have personally witnessed the bond between Danna, the dogs and the dog owners...it is warm and personal. I call her before I call my vet at times. She knows the dogs inside out and cares for them like they were her own. The staff is professional and extremely efficient. We all come to know them well. Maybe this was a case of 'mistaken business identity'... but it is hurtful to see such a wonderful place get ripped apart by people who are clearly not part of the Park your Bark family. I cannot recommend Danna and her team enough. I suggest you call and speak to them before you follow this stranger's advice. Or if you live in Riverdale or the surrounding area I am more than happy to give you first hand accounts and advice on putting your fur family member in Park your Bark Day Care or any day care. While I don't think my dog was mistreated, Carol Ann failed to communicate that anything was wrong which is a huge problem. When my husband asked her if she noticed anything while there she proceeded to say "well he did have a slight cough at one point, but I called and told you". This was a complete lie, she never called him once while we were away. Since then we've had to take him to the vet twice, my dog has not been the same at all, lacks energy, is throwing up and not once has she even been sympathetic or apologetic. Instead she was defensive, rude, talked over him when he was trying to explain everything that was going on, and sounded like she was whining more than anything. We later realized that while she asked if my dog was vaccinated, she never asked for the proof and so I think she doesn't check for proper documentation- allowing anyone to leave their dog at her daycare. Lesson learned, never again.

My girls loved her as they would run up and greet her when she walked in the door. She earned my trust with her genuine compassion for all animals and when I saw their reaction to her. She consistently showed up rain or shine, almost always on time. If she is going to be late, she'll alway let you know. She paid close attention to each one of my dogs personalities and tried to accommodate their walks so they each would enjoy their time outside. She was flexible to last minute time or date changes and I could always call her if I needed her help outside of our arranged schedule. She takes her job very seriously and aims to make both the owners and dogs happy. She is reliable, responsible, patient, and gentle. She has a car and on hot days would drive my girls to the park so they didn't have to walk on the hot cement. This is just one example to show her consideration. She'll make sure they have plenty of water and don't overheat- which is huge for Frenchies. Her pricing is very fair and she will work with you to come to an arrangement that meets your needs. I highly recommend Maryann and feel extremely safe that my girls are in caring hands when they are with her.

I needed to have my dogs watched one evening while I attended a long dinner meeting in Manhattan. I called Carol and she was able to meet with me in the lobby of the hotel I was staying in, talk about customer service. We went over the specifics of what I needed for my two babies and I felt so relieved to know that they would be well cared for at Carol's place instead of locked in a kennel at the hotel. My dinner meeting ended quite a bit later than I had planned, but Carol was gracious enough to let me pick them up that same night anyway. They were happy and tired out from having played with Carol's dog most of the evening:) Thank goodness for Carol and for this great service. Thank you Carol! On top of it, my bathroom ceiling collapsed while I was away (thanks 120-year-old plumbing), and she immediately let me know so I could take care of it from afar. I've used her several times since then, most recently over the holidays this year. Sadly, I had to say goodbye to Snoop in March , but now I have Kevin, and Raquel continues going above and beyond to make sure he gets the best care possible. She even brought him food from her own stash when he wouldn't eat the kind I had left him. (Cats, amirite?) Also, she's super flexible and accommodating.
