In a world where bad reviews can break a small business, I feel compelled to elaborate on my personal experience with Danna and her Park your Bark staff. I have personally witnessed the bond between Danna, the dogs and the dog owners...it is warm and personal. I call her before I call my vet at times. She knows the dogs inside out and cares for them like they were her own. The staff is professional and extremely efficient. We all come to know them well. Maybe this was a case of 'mistaken business identity'... but it is hurtful to see such a wonderful place get ripped apart by people who are clearly not part of the Park your Bark family. I cannot recommend Danna and her team enough. I suggest you call and speak to them before you follow this stranger's advice. Or if you live in Riverdale or the surrounding area I am more than happy to give you first hand accounts and advice on putting your fur family member in Park your Bark Day Care or any day care. My girls loved her as they would run up and greet her when she walked in the door. She earned my trust with her genuine compassion for all animals and when I saw their reaction to her. She consistently showed up rain or shine, almost always on time. If she is going to be late, she'll alway let you know. She paid close attention to each one of my dogs personalities and tried to accommodate their walks so they each would enjoy their time outside. She was flexible to last minute time or date changes and I could always call her if I needed her help outside of our arranged schedule. She takes her job very seriously and aims to make both the owners and dogs happy. She is reliable, responsible, patient, and gentle. She has a car and on hot days would drive my girls to the park so they didn't have to walk on the hot cement. This is just one example to show her consideration. She'll make sure they have plenty of water and don't overheat- which is huge for Frenchies. Her pricing is very fair and she will work with you to come to an arrangement that meets your needs. I highly recommend Maryann and feel extremely safe that my girls are in caring hands when they are with her.

Our boy is a bit mischievous and likes to wander away from the group too much, so Wali offered to board him for a couple of weekends to work on training, and we definitely see improvement. Of course, we could've just hired a dog walker to walk our boy a couple of times a day while we're at work, but it's 100% worth the money for us to know that he's out enjoying nature and socializing with other dogs during the day, instead of just being bored on the couch between walks. Trail Tails is AMAZING. Our dog went to their "camp" regularly since he was a puppy (started ~5mo…read moreold). We recently moved and the worst part of moving was that we are longer be in the Trail Tails service area (it honestly weighed heavily in our decision, if that gives you an idea of how much we loved Trail Tails). Wali and his team are fantastic with dogs - they not only try to enforce good behavior (like recall and "playing nicely" with other dogs), but I can tell that they also show a lot of affection to these dogs and make sure "the pack" has an awesome time day in and day out, regardless of the weather. I also had my dog stay with Wali and his team over a few weekends and he seemed to have a great time. I also loved that they posted pics on Instagram regularly - it was so fun to see the dogs in action! (Including a pic of my dog at Trail Tails!) The only downside: there are some days when my dog got a bit dirty. But a quick sweep/vacuum was totally worth it - my dog had a blast and was always tired/happy at the end of the day when I got home. HIGHLY recommend Trail Tails!

Shiloh is a German Shepherd she goes to well rounded hound 5 days a week from nine thirty to three thirty. She loves them she is standing at the door waiting. For the past three days she could not go as she was sick when Jackie and the crew heard on Monday that I was afraid as her back legs went out they were the first people I called for support as soon as day camp was finishing up they all came over on their way home to help me get her to the vet and the concern was love that they had for her. Today one of the crew who she had not seen in a while came over and she went crazy with love he had been with her since she was six months old. My love for these guys is unbelievable. My daughter lives in Boston she has a shiba and every time she comes to visit she goes to camp. My niece who lives in Washington has a dachshund comes to visit he goes too and they all cannot wait to go they remember. As time goes on we now have two new members my daughters and mine new puppies Australian shepherds my Australian Shepherd goes daily my daughters when she visits. When I go away they go to fancy pants hotel and love it. Bottom line if you want your dog to be happy, loved and taken care of the price is brilliant compared to hiring someone to walk them two times a day and not play your dog is losing out they pick them up and drop them off. I always get super fast responses through email so I'm comfortable knowing that they're readily available in case of an emergency. In case Rusty chewed up anything (he's 7 months old, you know how it goes) they helped clean it up and were totally transparent about it! They even replen his water bowl, etc. My Rusty always looks forward to his daily small group walks and I rest easy at work knowing that he's in great hands. The rates are also incredible- the quality for the amazing price ($12 for a small group walk, $22 for private!!) is unbeatable. 10/10 stars isn't enough!!

The service we agreed upon was for Darrel to walk our dog and then put out his food and fresh water for him before leaving. There were frequent problems-- small at first-- with following the instructions. Darrel would forget to refill the water dish or would not close the refrigerator after feeding the dog (the dog food is in there). Each time we communicated the problem to Carole, she would tell us she'd remind Darrel but the problems continued. Once or twice, Darrel left our apartment door unlocked after walking the dog and bringing him home (luckily nothing bad happened). The final straw was that Darrel forgot to feed the dog a couple of weeks ago. We reached out to Carole to address the issue, which to us represented an escalating pattern of inadequate care for our dog and disregard of our simple instructions. Her response was that she "didn't like the tone" of our email, said that feeding and not charging extra for it was "doing a favor"-- charging extra to feed the dog was never something that was mentioned to us AT ALL throughout the course of the year we were using their services-- and proceeded to say she would no longer work with us. No apology, no attempts to make things right-- just an unwillingness to take feedback and accept responsibility when something that jeopardized the well-being of our dog happened on their watch. We have moved on to another walking company and are much happier with their services and willingness to communicate. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of zero is because these mistakes didn't happen every time our dog was walked and there were some weeks throughout the year where everything went according to plan. Would very much recommend against using this small business since they don't take responsibility for their mistakes, don't respond effectively to requests to correct them, and simply terminate their working relationship when you point out flaws in their service.
