There is plenty of parking around, and the neighborhood is lovely. We arrived right when lunch hour started so the restaurant was pretty empty. We were immediately seated and our waiter, Luke, was great with bringing drinks and menus asap. I decided to try the summer salad and add shrimp and an order of the kalbi wings. The wings were absolutely delicious and enough to share. My friend ordered the deviled eggs app and loved it too. The summer salad was very generous, but the reason my review is 4 stars and not 5 is because it was $10 for 6 shrimp! Regular sized shrimp. The salad was $15 which is totally fine, but $10 more for 6 shrimp is ridiculous. I would go back and just not add the shrimp. There is a really cute outdoor area as well. It was too hot to sit there at lunch time, but I imagine for dinner it would be lovely so I will go back another time to experience that.

The restaurant itself is very nice and clean, with a bright and welcoming atmosphere. It feels well maintained and comfortable, whether you are grabbing a quick bite or sitting down with friends. If you go, Taco Tuesday is absolutely the move. The tacos are only $2 each, which is a great deal. They are on the smaller side, but that honestly just means you can mix and match and try a few different ones. The flavor is good, and for the price, it is hard to beat. The service was super fast. Our food came out in about five minutes, which was impressive. Everything was fresh and hot, and the staff kept things moving efficiently. That said, when it is not Taco Tuesday, the prices for other menu items are pretty high compared to similar Mexican spots in the area, and it does not quite feel worth it at full price. Overall, Miranda is clean, quick, and worth visiting especially for Taco Tuesday. Just plan your trip wisely to get the best value.

I'm always impressed by a standalone hot dog place. When I finally arrived to the location, I was shocked at how big the building was. And, for a Sunday mid afternoon, there were so many cars there! Some families were dining inside, some outside on the picnic tables, and many Just sitting and eating in their cars. My kind of place! Very casual and low-key. I went inside and ordered three hotdogs. Two for myself and one for my own dog who came with me. His hot dog was playing. Mine came with chili and slaw on one and Paul's famous relish on another. I also ordered a side of fries and a fountain drink. I was shocked when they told me my order total was less than $12. My food was bagged up for me ready to go before I even handed them my card. Food was good. Nothing out of this world. Definitely not a gourmet hotdog. The hotdogs are boiled and soft, not grilled. Overall, my impressions are that this is a staple in Rocky Point. A great stop for a quick and cheap meal. Cute. FYI - They also seemed to have other sandwich items like chips, grilled cheese, ham, sandwich, etc.

I live about 10 minutes away from the Castle Hayne location. I called ahead and informed the staff member that I was coming to purchase an 8-piece chicken meal. He assured me, "I got you, man," so I proceeded to the restaurant. I made this call based on previous experiences. Upon arrival, I noticed chicken in the warmer, and from the counter, it was evident that it was not fresh, despite the sign above it claiming otherwise. However, I have been there before, and often they retrieve fresh chicken from the kitchen, so I remained optimistic. I ordered the 8-piece chicken meal and two Hot Ham and Cheese sandwiches. I observed the staff member checking the chicken in the warmer, conversing with someone in the kitchen, and then returning to the warmer multiple times. This sequence of events felt like "foreshadowing" in literature. She then assisted a drive-thru customer before placing 8 pieces of chicken from the warmer into a box and bagging it. A few minutes later, she informed me that we were waiting on the sandwiches and handed me the chicken (I had already paid). At this point, a lady, who appeared to be the manager, emerged from the back, handling cash from the registers. I inspected the chicken, broke open a piece, and found it to be extremely dry and clearly hours old. I asked the lady if she was the manager, and she confirmed. I explained that I had called in advance to ensure I received fresh chicken, but this was far from fresh. She claimed it was only 15 minutes old. I showed her the piece, and from her position, she could see it was obviously very old. She then began chastising her staff, stating that they should never serve fresh chicken first and that the old chicken should have been disposed of. I tried to explain that, as a manager myself, I believed this was her responsibility, not her staff's. She did not address me further. A gentleman from the back, who I believe was the person I spoke to on the phone, approached as I was explaining that the chicken was inedible. The manager, Marilyn Johnson, continued to chastise her staff and ignored the situation at the counter. The gentleman seemed genuinely surprised at the state of the chicken and asked the manager if he should issue a refund. She did not respond. He asked if I had paid by card, and sensing his uncertainty, I told him not to worry about it. I mentioned that I was not upset with him but disappointed because I had anticipated enjoying fresh, hot Hardee's chicken. He was empathetic and engaging, which I appreciated. I believe his name might be Brandon. I received my two Ham and Cheese sandwiches and left, with Marilyn Johnson still not acknowledging me or offering any apology.

The fries were ok. Definitely get all the sauces- the chicken with ranch was a good combo.

They don't regularly have food so confused why you'd bring small kids anyways. I like the atmosphere. It feels like a casual bar and for that alone it's worth going to. I can understand why this might attract some people to this place but it's completely excluding a whole group of people who might be able to go out without their kids. Not everyone has babysitters or would love to go out with their whole family as a unit. Also what if you're meeting a friend group that doesn't have kids and you can't come in because you have a child? Having young kids can feel difficult enough but taking away a space where they can be safe in an open green area while you can enjoy other adults and a nice beer is just hurtful. Also they often say come back in the afternoon but most parents with young kids know that's when they nap.
