I was referred by my friend Thomas Ennis, who told me they were one of the most professional property management and real estate teams in Ventura County, and he was absolutely right. When I first contacted Kristina Brewer, she responded immediately and came to see the property right away. Her energy, professionalism, and deep knowledge of the Ventura County rental market were impressive. Kristina researched rental comparables in Ventura, helped determine the best rental price, and guided the entire process smoothly. The home was professionally prepared and cleaned by Fantastic All Care Inc., and the RE/MAX team arranged professional real estate photography and marketing that made the property look amazing. Within a short time they found the perfect tenant -- qualified, responsible, and exactly what every property owner hopes for. Special thanks to the outstanding team involved: * Kristina Brewer * Jennifer Timm * Ana Lopez * Jessica Morales * Lisa Yaremchuk Their organization, communication, and professionalism truly show why RE/MAX Gold Coast Property Management is one of the best property management companies in Ventura County. If I could give 0 stars I would…read more I was a tenant for 5 years and as soon as Michele left they completely went downhill. Specifically in the last year or two I could never get ahold of Melanie (current property manager), ever. I would call and leave voicemails repeatedly, send multiple emails and finally Tristan would respond and say that Melanie had been on vacation or out of the office. This happened anytime I had an issue or question for them. It took weeks if not months to reach them and then even longer for them to do something about the issue. I had a roof leak and I had to call/leave voicemails and email them repeatedly until they finally answered, all while water was pooling in my ceiling. Also, they never even repaired the water damage inside the unit. I emailed Melanie two months before our lease was up to notify her we would not be renewing it and asking how much the last months rent would be (since it was only half a month). She told me she would get back to me about the amount and I never heard from her again. After multiple emails and calls, Tristan finally responded to me but didn't know what I was referring to. He said he checked with Melanie who was also unaware why I was asking.. This was 15 days before I moved out. I moved out almost a month ago and have still not received my security deposit. I had to call them 6 times over the span of three days and email them once to get an update, they finally responded asking for my forwarding address so they could send me the deposit. This was two weeks ago and I still haven't received it. Tristan is very nice and helpful when you can get ahold of him but I would not recommend renting from this property management company.

(AA PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IN SPECIFIC) ***** Patrick Burris - comes off as a true genuine human being, but is the exact opposite. Best way of describing this man (he is a wolf disguised in sheep clothing.) definitely knows how to sell you and undermine you. Whenever I had to reach out for repairs, or had general apartment questions- such as "why isn't the laundry mat available in my apartment complex!??" "Why am I paying for so much water?!" or even addressing the neighbors being loud and down right rude- there was never a sense of urgency or corrective action from there team, but instead of getting a prompt answer- all they would convey is that "it's been addressed"... lies lies and more lies and it all comes to light eventually. I saw right through this man the moment I met him. Bullshit walks, & money talks. March 2022 my partner and I were vacating the rental we last stayed at on Ventura rd, to be exact- Patrick Burris threatens me with a voicemail, WHICH I STILL HAVE, where he says "I NEED YOU TO CALL ME, THE UNIT IS DESTROYED, OR ILL SEE YOU IN COURT" I'm sorry, but the apartment was already destroyed upon us moving in. YOU sold it to us that way, prior to us moving in REMEMBER. You also kept the safety deposit for ANY damages you claim were left behind so that is on you, SIR. Also, charging $1600 a month for a run-down 1960's built apartment? Are you joking? ALSO Get a load of this- he ACCUSED me and my partner of dumping all our furniture and garbage out into the dumpsters... we had no furniture which is the funny part, as we came from a small studio... Supposedly he had to call a "clean crew" to pick it all up. First of all, SIR, everyone and their mothers dumps their crap into those EASY ACCESSIBLE TRASH CANS. Your all of a sudden concerned about that, maybe add some locks and hinges for them and provide it over to the tenants? Secondly, the "clean crew" was just the Mexican Gardners that show up weekly, who he called out to clean up the junk. this guys a fraud. Your hard earned money is being burned if you engage with this company. Further more, he's a failure at what he does considering his background. You should absolutely reconsider your profession sir, as your weak attempts of intimidation do not work on a professional like me. This man has failed completely in the property management field, and his credibility is shot. (STEER FAR AWAY FROM HERE) A total lack of communication between tenants and services TILL THIS VERY DAY. Patrick, please take this advise into consideration as your reputation has now proceeded you. Just close up shop. Have Alexis write you up a nice letter of rec, and MAYBE someone will consider you to be qualified to manage their property in a much better, professional way. PS- if you choose to do business with these folks, just know you will be STUCK. Absolutely stuck, and no transparency from these people whatsoever is the BEST way to put it in terms. I wish nothing but the best outcome for any individual that crosses paths with these pests. Consider yourselves warned.
