We have lived locally for a few years now and had been meaning to visit this place for ages. We took out 2yo along (twice within a month) and she loves it. It's cheap and lots of fun. Sure it's not a zoo or a massive location, but it's up close and personal. There plenty for a toddler to look at and enjoy. Don't expect a adults type location. It's really for kids to explore. There's an outside walk where you can pat a roo (if your keen to go up to one) and a wombat. Inside there's aquariums with cat fish, platypus's, snakes, frogs and an atrium with a collection of native birds. They do feeding every now and then with tours as well. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The cafe is quite reasonable. The food is delivered so check that they have received the delivery when u arrive if you plan to eat early (before around 10:30). Parking was easy and there's some great walks around the reservoir.
All up I'd highly recommend this little hidden gem in The Gap. read more
