Ribs done

Second time back! And still so good! The service is amazing at this place and staff are amazing at checking up on things. Best service our whole trip to surfers for sure! We came back after Christmas on the 27th of Dec 2020 and although packed they managed to squeeze us in to a table for 2. I ordered the ribs which I thought was half a rack ended up being a full rack with chips and slaw! Massive! Partner got a sea-schnitzel. It was a big serve although he only got 2 prawns which was probably not worth the extra $$ than a normal schnitzel. Overall great place and a reason it's number one on Yelp!

The Avenue has alcoholic Ginger Beer and Espresso Martinis ON TAP. It's like they never want me to leave! Came here with family and cousin. Kids both ordered kids Cheeseburgers while adults had pasta and rump steak (on special for only $18!!). Food was delivered quickly and was generally excellent. The prawn linguini was delicious but the steaks were a little over-cooked (more medium than medium rare) but All in all, the staff were friendly and super helpful and the overall experience was excellent.

The food was delicious, service was great, and we enjoyed the drinks! We had a wonderful meal and considered coming back multiple times in our 2 dat visit (and wish we had!)

Hard Nite Burger

On the menu, they have burgers, pizza, bbq skewers, and other large entrees. I ordered the Hard Nite burger, which came with beef, spinach, bacon, onions, and a hard boiled egg on top. It was quite a tall burger, especially with a whole egg on top. The beef patty was really thick and juicy. The burger is actually the best that I've had in Australia so far. The dish came with a side if sweet potato fries as well. The sweet potato fries were really good, cooked with fresh oil. I would definitely come here again. The restaurant is pretty spacious, good for large parties. They also have performances at The Avenue.

We found this restaurant from Yelp because it offered sweet potato chips, which was our criteria today . We ordered BBQ pork ribs with coleslaw. The sweet potato chips requires extra 2 dollars. It took about 20 minutes to wait for the dish, but it was worth it. The ribs were very tender and I liked the sauce very much. It was a very big portion and we shared one, which had made us full already!

We were visiting Gold Coast and found the Avenue #1 on Yelp. Food was very good, so was the service. Highly recommended

Blonde on tap

I was pleasantly surprised at how great this place is. The food was so delicious we had the pork belly burger, the king prawn fettuccine, and the The Bronx doubled up. We also got the blonde on tap and I have to say everything was excellent. The beer was so smooth and easy to drink. The pork belly so crispy and the slaw was flavored to match. The Bronx burger I loved the flavor of the beef and the pasta was really good with a kick of spice. Also the white chocolate marshmallow pizza oh it was so so good. I really liked the food here and the staff was so extremely nice. I'd come here again and again.

Well I guess you wanted to see what the ribs looked like before I ate them... But I think this tells you what they tasted like

The food is solid and a typical fusion mix of a miso infused pork belly next to a roast beef sirloin with roast vegies. A laksa next to cold cuts of meat and breadrolls... maybe not so much fusion in hindsight, maybe its a bit of two worlds crossed like star crossed lovers... but with some sushi. So essentially multiple asian countries crossed with the typical aussie fair. So really the world is kissing and youre eating, gross but sweet but gross but kind of nice.. getting off topic here. Lets get this right, the food is nothing really awesome but when combined with queenslands only 360 revolving restaurant a la candlelight 26 stories above a la central gold coast broadbeach... the taste is yelping spectacular $62 later a head plus $4.50 for a glass of coke. So recommended but not really for a regular visit. Perfect for romance and walking a full stomach off by the breathtaking beach.

Overall the experience was pretty average although we didn't go hungry between the selection of…read morehighs and lows. The revolving restaurant was a tad disappointing. The main attraction being the view was mostly unseen as the lighting inside was too bright to view the night lights outside. Instead you saw your own reflection when trying to peer out. My recommendation is to go for a day or early evening seating if you want to take in the view. The dessert buffet was the best part of the evening. The worst part, the other patrons. Some patrons had been scooping the oysters from their shells at the buffet station so care had to be taken not to select an empty oyster shell. Searching through the empty oyster shell rubble we managed to find some tasty morsels to return to our table with. The crab was a disaster, stringy dry overcooked crab meat was hardly worthy of the effort involved to get to it. However, the prawns were amazing. The main buffet was a collection of over cooked salmon, tasty veal, chicken, tough chewy steak and tragically over cooked lamb cutlets. The sides were pretty boring - steamed or roasted vegetables. The dessert buffet had a great selection of sugary treats, chilli chocolate pano cotta, pavlova, doughnuts, ice cream, a broad selection of cheeses and fresh fruit to name a few. Ho ho ho hum... Not the highlight of my Christmas vacation. But it wasn't all that bad value for what fare was available.

This restaurant is just OKAY. I wouldn't come here again if I had a choice…read more I got a fisherman's basket for $12AUD plus 50cents for tartar sauce. This was a lunch special. The fisherman's basket came with chips, fried fish, fried calamari, fried crab stick, fried shrimp, fried potato and a small side salad. All I could really taste was the fried breading; I couldn't really taste the seafood. The portion was really big. I got tired and sick of eating so much fried stuff so I didn't finish my food. It took us forever to get our food! I think we waited 40+ minutes. There were only 3 other tables that were there. Be prepared to wait a while if you come here.

This night I ordered a garlic bread, 1/2 dozen Oysters Mornay and the Sizzling Garlic Prawns. The garlic bread was a nicely cooked and sliced mini Cobb loaf. Plenty of butter but a little light on the garlic. The oysters were the highlight for me. Super fresh and cheesy. Just how I like 'em. Only issue here was that whoever shucked them was a bit rough - there was a couple bits of shell shards. The prawns were nice and fresh and tasted great. Unfortunately the rice that it came on was just boiled rice - bland. Also, not enough garlic in this dish! MOAR! Overall there was no major issue with the food and I left content. I just wish they were a little bolder with their flavours.

While I was getting bounced around like a pinball (due to the crowded nature of the main walkway to…read morethe bar), I was already planning what my Yelp review would focus on. The large number of people enjoying the beats? The unfortunate high quantity of gentlemen dancing on the mini stages that I can only assume were intended for ladies to use? The eclectic mix of music (ranging from house to samba)? Left to ponder all these questions, I approached the bar and asked for a drink. As an American, I noted my bartender's winning smile and the Dwayne Wade Miami Heat jersey she was wearing. As she turned around to get my beer, I also noticed she was not wearing any pants. I quickly glanced around and noticed that none of the bartenders or servers were wearing any pants (opting instead to wear skimpy bottoms that seemed more suited for the beach that was a block away). I really need to start paying better attention to my surroundings. Pros: Good mix of music (i.e not just strictly the same top 40 stuff) Fun crowd Large space Hot bartenders Cons: Although the overall space in the club is large, the dance area was fairly compact and crowded

I have been to bars all over world but even I was shocked by how shitty the service was there, which I will explain in a minute. So when I went in we were given a ticket for one free drink so I figured how bad can it be. So I go to wait for my drink for almost 10 minutes and I notice all the female bartenders are dressed as 2 bit strippers wearing some ugly ass gold swimsuits, then I hear in a sarcastic screech voice "Hello!,hello!" finally a blonde bartender gave me some service. I gave her the drink ticket after she got me a BEER and she pulled the drink back and said "NO ITS FOR SHOTS AND MIXED DRINKS ONLY" I thought WTF since beer is cheaper than liquor. So I give her cash then have to wait for "Barbie" to give me my change since they had one register for the entire section of the bar. My English buddy Ali that I from my Contiki tour told me 20 minutes later after we got the hell out of there told me his bartender a petite asian gal was rude to him as well. Worst bar/club I have ever been in my life. Whore ompa-loompas are horrible bartenders.
