Unfortunately, while Theo's has good prices and offers virtually identical ingredients to other shops, their failure to toast their kebabs means you should look elsewhere. Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? Quick and easy, the service at Theo's is friendly and accommodating, and their outdoor seating option trumps the other shops in the area. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? At $9.50 including a drink, Theo's really does well in the price department, and while their kebabs are a bit smaller than others (such as Ozi next door), it's still a fair price. Star Granted. http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=xIINgigXcSPnZ77nPdvJKw&userid=OKX-V5j_qfuOebeHeWGrHg Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? This is where Theo's runs into some trouble. Yes, they offer good kebabs, but in failing to toast them as virtually every other shop in the area does, it's a real disappointment. Sorry Theo's, but it's time to get with the times! No Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? For reasons that have already been mentioned, drop next door to Ozi or up the road to Ali Baba's (http://www.yelp.com/biz/ali-babas-kebabs-surfers-paradise) to get a nice toasted Aussie style kebab. No Star Granted.

I loved the shot of sake as well it was smoothest I had ever had. So food wise I cannot fault honestly! However food is just 1 component of a dining experience and what let us down was the service. From the moment we got in I felt rushed and felt like we weren't valued customers. It was not customer centric, not for us at least. We had a pram and they weren't helpful to allow us keep our foldable pram away. Fine I get it. It blocks the road. (1 star off) Then we ask for hot water - response, oh we don't serve that as a beverage. There's a million reason why someone would like hot water, baby food was ours, but even a lot of elderly would like some warm water and that should not be a way to gauge $$ seriously. (1 star off) Finally soy sauce was knocked over, the waiter said he will come clean it. Never came to clean it (per photo). (1 star off) But I gave it 1 star back for just how good the food quality was.

There is lots of street parking around or you can park in several parking lots within a few blocks of the restaurant. My partner and I have come here a few times over the years and have always been impressed. We have several dietary restrictions but they are ALWAYS more than willing to accommodate. The service is always top notch and the food quality is fantastic. During our last visit we ordered the Wagyu Tataki to start. It was full of flavor and cooked so perfectly. Next we got the Surume which was grilled squid. Nice and flavorful as well. The following dish was the medium Sashimi-Mori which was all very fresh. Next we ordered grilled chicken skewers of Tori (thigh) and Tsukune (mince ball). The thighs were my favorite as they were nicely salted and so much delicious flavor to them! Lastly we got the Wagyu Beef Teppanyaki. This was a fun dish because you cook it yourself on a grill. The wagyu was very tender and tasty. Overall we love the food here and the customer service is always top notch as well. Thank you for an amazing experience during every visit. Can't wait to return!

We walked in and found a table immediately. They had nice soft music playing in the back ground. Hardly anyone there. But still a great place to have a nice drink. The second time we went was a completely different experience! It was on a Saturday night. The place was packed! Not a open seat in the house. They had a dj playing. They had both outdoor and indoor bars open. Tons of people! It was poppin! The lines to the bars were a bit long. But the bartenders were trying their best! As for the drinks, they had a nice variety of beers and can make cocktail you ask for. The price is a bit on the high end but you are paying for the ambience as well. We didn't order food so I can't comment on that. But both my experiences were nice and I would definately go back when I'm in Brisbane. Last but not least the staff were all really great as well! Very friendly!

I came across this place whilst on my honeymoon, we ordered the jug of the passionfruit and vanilla margarita and the garlic bread pizza. Let me start with the service....excellent, the seating.....right opposite the beach. However with all outdoor seating near beaches attracts seagulls and the aussie icon....the bin chickens. Being an Australian myself, my husband and I were not at all phased and found the spray bottles at each table funny. Now....the magarita......strong (as we've noticed with all restaurants in surfers) but a beautiful balance of alcohol, passionfruit and with subtle undertones of the vanilla. It is a easy to drink cocktail which you realise has gone to your head when you go to stand up; again i love my alcohol and day drinking and being on my honeymoon im all to happy with such drink. The garlic bread pizza.....hot, fresh, straight out of the woodfired oven. Doughy, chewy and oh so morish when drinking. This place was so good that we went there 5 more days in a row...sometimes for breakfast and dinner......drinking at both haha. So much so the staff began to recognise us. Their pizzas....an amazing mix of toppings, chewy yet crisp base with that woodfire taste that everyone loves (also pretty good cold for midnight snacking), their chicken wings....a good balance of heat and their steaks and burgers were cooked to perfection. Their breakfast is good for soaking up the night befores drinking but also as a filling meal for you day of exploring ahead. We ordered the full house and the bacon, tomato and eggs. The full house consisted of (deep inhale) eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, steak, baked beans, mushrooms and toast. And mine was tomatoes, bacon, eggs and toast. Simple yet beautifully executed. If you are ever in Surfers Paradise, please visit this establishment. You will not be disappointed. I also hope the restaurant sees this review and keeps doing what they are doing because they are a great little restaurant
