Great taste, friendly staff, okay prices but limited seating. Would return to eat. The fish is fresh, the calamari is chewy and tender.

If you are acknowledging there will be a wait be honest about it. Two groups who were served after me got their orders first. Waiting also sadly, allowed me to witness the owner (I believe it was, he was the main cook and eldest man), being quite blunt, rude and sharp with his staff on several occasions. Staff who I believe were his family? If you have an open kitchen be aware that your behaviour towards others is on show. When finally receiving our takeaway... the meals were pleasant. I had the grilled salmon and this was beautifully cooked and very flavourful. The burgers we ordered were good, especially for a fish & chip shop, which can be substandard as they don't cook burgers as a main item. The chips were a big average, a little soggy for my likely, but again tasted pleasant. My salad was good - I'd like to have been offered a vinaigrette or dressing for it but wasn't and a larger salad serve would have been good as it was quite small. All in all, I'm sorry to say we will not be visiting this store again.

The food is solid and a typical fusion mix of a miso infused pork belly next to a roast beef sirloin with roast vegies. A laksa next to cold cuts of meat and breadrolls... maybe not so much fusion in hindsight, maybe its a bit of two worlds crossed like star crossed lovers... but with some sushi. So essentially multiple asian countries crossed with the typical aussie fair. So really the world is kissing and youre eating, gross but sweet but gross but kind of nice.. getting off topic here. Lets get this right, the food is nothing really awesome but when combined with queenslands only 360 revolving restaurant a la candlelight 26 stories above a la central gold coast broadbeach... the taste is yelping spectacular $62 later a head plus $4.50 for a glass of coke. So recommended but not really for a regular visit. Perfect for romance and walking a full stomach off by the breathtaking beach.

The main attraction being the view was mostly unseen as the lighting inside was too bright to view the night lights outside. Instead you saw your own reflection when trying to peer out. My recommendation is to go for a day or early evening seating if you want to take in the view. The dessert buffet was the best part of the evening. The worst part, the other patrons. Some patrons had been scooping the oysters from their shells at the buffet station so care had to be taken not to select an empty oyster shell. Searching through the empty oyster shell rubble we managed to find some tasty morsels to return to our table with. The crab was a disaster, stringy dry overcooked crab meat was hardly worthy of the effort involved to get to it. However, the prawns were amazing. The main buffet was a collection of over cooked salmon, tasty veal, chicken, tough chewy steak and tragically over cooked lamb cutlets. The sides were pretty boring - steamed or roasted vegetables. The dessert buffet had a great selection of sugary treats, chilli chocolate pano cotta, pavlova, doughnuts, ice cream, a broad selection of cheeses and fresh fruit to name a few. Ho ho ho hum... Not the highlight of my Christmas vacation. But it wasn't all that bad value for what fare was available.

The fisherman's basket came with chips, fried fish, fried calamari, fried crab stick, fried shrimp, fried potato and a small side salad. All I could really taste was the fried breading; I couldn't really taste the seafood. The portion was really big. I got tired and sick of eating so much fried stuff so I didn't finish my food. It took us forever to get our food! I think we waited 40+ minutes. There were only 3 other tables that were there. Be prepared to wait a while if you come here.

This night I ordered a garlic bread, 1/2 dozen Oysters Mornay and the Sizzling Garlic Prawns. The garlic bread was a nicely cooked and sliced mini Cobb loaf. Plenty of butter but a little light on the garlic. The oysters were the highlight for me. Super fresh and cheesy. Just how I like 'em. Only issue here was that whoever shucked them was a bit rough - there was a couple bits of shell shards. The prawns were nice and fresh and tasted great. Unfortunately the rice that it came on was just boiled rice - bland. Also, not enough garlic in this dish! MOAR! Overall there was no major issue with the food and I left content. I just wish they were a little bolder with their flavours.
