Fantastic! Walk This Way was only local sitting service to actually return my contact, and they were just phenomenal! Great communication, sent us updates on how our kitties were doing and wasn't afraid to ask if they had a question. Don and Tina are hands-down the nicest, most attentive, courteous, and professional small business owners I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. From the initial interview, I could tell right away they both care deeply about their business, and more importantly, the pets that they care for. They respond quickly to texts, they are incredibly flexible with scheduling, and I feel 100% secure in knowing they are there to care for my dogs when I need them. We have been clients for over a year now, and we feel so incredibly lucky to have found them. Recently, we said goodbye to our little guy, Grady. He had failing kidneys, and was pretty frail for the last year since we moved to the Brookfield area. We were so very glad to have found, nice, responsible friends to look in on him, administer his medications, and most of all, give him some well-deserved love and attention while he was sick. Don, Tina and our daily walker, Joe were incredibly supportive through our tough time. They even posted a beautiful memorial message and picture on their Facebook page. Amazing!!! I highly recommend them for pet sitting. We left our very spoiled kitten for 5 days under the very good care of Don and Tina. They emailed us updates on our kitten, they offered to take in the mail and rotate lights to turn on at night. Don was very patient during our interview and was totally responsive and attentive during our time away. As soon as I met him I felt totally safe handing over our keys and knowing our cat and our belongings were being taken care of. I would not have any reservations leaving town again and calling on Walk this Way. I didn't think it could be any better, but I was wrong! Now, they have Mindy! She is just like Don and Tina in the sense that I trust them completely with my house and my pets, but Mindy is also a groomer. She picked up Jackson who at this point looked and smelled like he had been rolling in hot garbage and a mud puddle for about a year, and brought back a clean, nice smelling Cairn Terrier. It was not only the best grooming job he has had in as long as I can remember, it was actually less expensive and I didn't even have to take him anywhere. The Best!! I will only use this service for my dog walking needs. They respond quickly to emails and are very accommodating for last minute sits. The best part is they love dogs and my dog loves them. I hand over my keys with complete trust and don't have to worry while on vacation because I know our dog will be taken good care of. I absolutely love Walk This Way! They have great rates - you cant beat $12 a walk for a licensed place in this area. They also have great service - I'm one of those people that is constantly switching days around with Don, and he is always super accommodating, even coming to do the walk himself if needed! Walk this Way, specifically Don and our Dog Walker Katheryn are AMAZING. My husband and I were so hesitant about handing keys and our babies over but the minute they both came for the meet and greet we were instantly at ease! Don put use at ease quickly, he is great with email and responds quickly! They walk our two goldendoodles every day during the week, and do an exceptional job. Our girls are always happy and Katheryn leaves great status notes. I know my girls love her, because one day I was home during the day and I forgot to cancel but when Katheryn got there, they were so happy to see her, jumping to give her hugs. I have used Walk This Way for daily walks, vacation walks, and vacation in-home care. They are 100% percent reliable and always go above and beyond my expectations as well as my 13 year old Bassett Hound, Baxter's expectations. Truly people that care about our animals and respect us as life-long clients. My work schedule has been very busy lately and for the first time I used the pet transport services of Walk This Way. They picked up Baxter, walked him and took him for grooming services at The Yuppie Puppy. With his arthritis, he can be difficult to get in and out of the car, but Don took great caution to ensure that Baxter had a safe trip. He brought Baxter back all clean and groomed, walked him and re-freshed his water for me. Walk This Way is AMAZING! If you have a dog and live inOak Park, River Forest, Riverside, LaGrange, Forest Park, and/or Lyons, you should try them out! I hope everyone is already convinced by all the fabulous reviews, but just in case, here's another one. Don and Tina and our newest walker/sitter, Jeni, are the best! I have used them for daytime care and overnight stays. They pay attention to detail and always have the best interests of my animals in mind. They communicate well, send pictures and updates, and ask questions when necessary. We lost one beloved dog this year and Don sent a very kind note. We gained a bouncy puppy with a heart condition and Don and Jeni took care of our new baby. Our six pound calico tabby also gives them her highest rating.
