I recently adopted a new dog and noticed that he's been scratching his ears quite aggressively. I decided to take him to the vet for a checkup. When I called the clinic, I spoke with a friendly and helpful receptionist. She informed me that they don't take appointments, which should have been obvious from their name. Upon arriving at the clinic, I was warmly greeted and asked to complete a new client form. I did so and waited for about 10 minutes before the staff came to collect us. The lady who accompanied us to the examination room was friendly and patient with my dog, who can be a bit anxious when meeting new people. She examined him and diagnosed the issue. She then informed the veterinarian who arrived shortly thereafter. Since my dog was reluctant to have anyone touch his ear, the veterinarian took him to the back of the clinic so that others could assist him. When the veterinarian returned, she explained the procedure and what I could expect in the coming days. Throughout the entire experience, I was impressed by the professionalism and helpfulness of the staff. I highly recommend this clinic to all my friends. read more

I cannot say enough about the help and care we as a fur loving family have received from this location. The front office is cheerful and welcoming - even when it is a tough reason you are there. You are never ignored, they let you know how the line is progressing and if you know their hours, you can time things to shorten your wait. During the initial exam with the techs, every concern and question is answered. they take detailed notes so your follow up visits are clear and quick. The vets approach everything with a personal and practical approach - not looking to pad their bill with a million tests, they know what they are doing. Options are given, but if you ask, if this was your loved one, what would you suggest, they help to guide you. Have not met a single person here that is not dedicated to bringing their very best every single day they are there. I have a 14 year old and 3 year old beagle - both receiving the very best of care. This is the best place to go if you want to pay $154 to be misinformed. I brought my 4-year-old French Bulldog, Fawn, to this clinic in November 2025 because she had a bump. I wanted it tested to make sure it wasn't cancer or anything else serious. I was offered blood work and agreed. Dr. Coen told me the results would be available the next day. The following day, I received a voicemail from Dr. Coen stating: "Hi, this is Dr. Coen from Walk-In Vet Clinic just calling to let you know that the blood work looks good and fine. If you have any additional questions, let me know. Otherwise, she's looking good on the blood. Okay, thank you, bye-bye." Later, Dr. Coen claimed that this voicemail was left before the heartworm portion of the blood test had been completed, which I find extremely confusing and concerning. I do not understand why I would be given an update stating that the blood work was "good and fine" if all test results were not yet available. That message directly influenced my decision not to pursue further testing or treatment at the time. Unfortunately, the results were not "good and fine." My dog tested positive for heartworm, and that result was completely missed or not communicated to me. I had no reason to question what I was told, so I took no further action. I only discovered the issue when my primary vet ran blood work again in January 2026 and found the positive heartworm result. After learning this, I contacted Walk-In Vet Clinic to request the original blood work from November. The heartworm positive result was clearly present at that time. I came into the clinic around 11:00 a.m. the same day to ask for an explanation. Instead of accountability, Dr. Coen became defensive and immediately tried to shift the blame onto me, stating that my dog should have been on prevention. Yes, my dog should have been on prevention--but that does not change the fact that I was never informed of a positive heartworm test, nor does it excuse the poor customer service I received when trying to address a serious medical oversight. Dr. Coen then claimed she attempted to leave a voicemail but that my mailbox was not set up, which is not true--she did leave a voicemail, and in that voicemail she stated everything was fine. She also stated that she emailed the results to me as soon as they were received, which also never happened. When I asked what could be done to fix this situation, I was quoted $450 for the first heartworm treatment, which does not include prevention. The only concession offered was a $5 Publix coupon. For comparison, my primary vet quoted me $320 for the first treatment including prevention. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. A serious diagnosis was mishandled, I was given false reassurance, and when I sought answers, I was met with defensiveness rather than accountability. I would strongly caution others to be extremely careful when trusting this clinic with their pet's health. read more

This clinic has been so wonderful to myself and my dogs. They are all so incredibly friendly. The prices are always SO reasonable. Mind you that there aren't scheduled appointments since it's a walk-in clinic, which is great because in emergencies I wasn't able to get into my previous dog's primary vet. I have always arrived within an hour of them opening and they get us in within an hour. I also love that they allow you to be in the room with your pet for the entire appointment. If X-rays or ultrasound are needed they will take your pet off so that but return them immediately. My first experience was back in March, under less than ideal circumstances, when my rescue goldendoodle got terribly sick at 10 years old. Dr. Ramer diagnosed the problem immediately and stated she needed surgery as soon as possible. They didn't have the staff or an opening to do so but spend a good amount of time helping me to call nearby clinics that could. Dr. Ramer was very calm, provided a clear understandable prognosis, and was empathetic to my emotions - which was what I needed in a distressing situation. Sadly that pet didn't pull through surgery at the other clinic, but the diagnosis and possible prognosis were consistent with the other vet's assessment as well. Despite that pet coming in poor circumstances, they still gained my trust and respect in the process and I have been bringing my new bundle of joy here for all her puppy needs. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever walked into, called into, etc. How Kelly D is still a manager blows my mind when every negative review on google for the past 3 years is in reference to her in some regard. If not initially, in response to her review response. So childish that on every negative review she writes a long defensive and rude response defending why no accountability can be taken by the clinic. Ive only ever written 3 reviews and 2 of them were positive. This office is the first negative and their response was so out of line I'm finding another platform to warn people. I have brought my 2 year old male golden retriever here multiple times. Every time I come I always get the feeling they have the wrong dog when they come into the patient room. My male dog is often referred to as a female dog. I am told my dog is having a symptom because he is still a "puppy" when asked what age they stop being puppies I was told one year. Yet, my dog is 2 years old so that was concerning. My dog is also relatively reactive to other dogs so I have asked that the waiting area be cleared/notified but still struggle bringing him into a room because no one meets me at the door to help read more

I walked in at two difference days to try and get assistamce with my dog. This is supposed to be a walk in clinic. Both times the front desk was rude. First time I was told there is not doctor on staff and they couldn't help with my dog. The second time, my husband called and said we had filled in the paperwork and asked if the doctor was there and he was told yes, but only until 2 pm. We got there around 11:45 and was told, sorry too busy to see you and once again was turned away by rude front desk. read more

Worst experience I've ever had and I've even given them multiple tries over the years. They don't ever seem to know what they are doing, refuse to listen to you, and then belittle you when they don't agree with your decisions. Their solution for an incredibly expensive surgery and lifelong medication that may not help my 10 year old dog live past another year was to surrender her to a rescue. The vet even made a judgement on me without even really talking to me! My dog is incredibly loved and there is nothing I wouldn't do for her. What an insanely insensitive statement to come from what should be a trusted professional. I will NEVER take my animals back and I'll make sure to tell my friends and family to stay far away! We brought out dog here during covid the experience overall was great! And they took very good care of our dog. My concern was with pricing. I feel like they weren't very forthcoming when asked and at the end the bill was much larger than expected and what they made it out to be. I'm blessed that we had it during these times, but I felt as though it was a little shady. I also worried about those who may not have had it and what the end result would have been. This place is the best! My regular vet wouldn't see my dog and she was really sick, I was up all night with her she had been throwing up white foam and I didn't know what was wrong and I wasn't sure if if I should take her to blue pearls Emergency In Brandon. I took her to this location and within just a few minutes dr ramer knew she had kennel cough, and she doesn't over charge for the visit or for unessesary prescriptions. She gave me a prescription and told me some safe over the counter meds to give her until her antibiotics kicked in. The whole visit was only $80 and my normal vet charged $140 for the same exact visit for another dog I know a few days later. I'll def be switching vets after this! read more

i understand that the place can be busy at times but the staff needs to create a better system to be able to make sure all clients' needs are met in a timely manner. The wait time may not be the main issue but clients need to be told how long they will be waiting. why are vets so uncaring now a days? . I have 2 vets, one vet who lives close to me would not see our dog as a same day appointment who has bad cough, mucous, white gums, and very lethargic and told to me go to a walk-in in clinic. our other vet is over an hour away but couldn't see her until after 5pm due to not wanting to contaminate their office ( which I understand) they also there would be an extra fee for same day appointment ( ok.. she needs to be seen I said) . My dog was getting worse so I figured I would try this place as it says "Walk in Clinic" and so I wouldn't have to drive so far away with a sick dog. They refused to see her as they only take new patients before 12. I was there at 1:30. They told me to see my own vet who would just give her antibiotics. They acted like "how dare my dog get sick on Friday and inconvenience them" and that her case wasn't important enough or make them enough money for them to see her. like my dog wasn't worth their time. Mind you they weren't even very busy. where is the compassion and concern?? I usually do not write reviews more-less bad reviews but I am so deeply disappointed in the corporate mindset of todays vets. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN!!! read more

Dr. Ramer made a bad call doing a surgery on our 15 year old cat which showed kidney problems prior to her doing the surgery from the bloodwork she did. We trusted Dr. Ramers professional opinion as a veterinarian on his surgery recommendation even told her we didn't want to be selfish and put him through a bad surgery that he will not survive at his age. She proceeded to do his surgery saying he should be fine. I called everyday after his surgery with questions because he was having complications only to be told he is fine this is normal. Finally day 5 after surgery I called because he was still soaked in leaky urine so bad I had to lay pads all over the house which she had been saying was normal!! Called telling them our concerns that he was not doing well they said if it makes you feel better bring him in. I took him in they did not check his labs to see if his kidneys were still having issues nor did they take his temperature. Just gave him an enema giving him more discomfort so he could just poop all over himself on the way home getting in his stitches and everything! He cried all night so the next morning which was day 6 after surgery we immediately took him to get a second opinion on his condition. The Veterinarian we took him to knew right away he was lethargic, and was severly dehydrated just by pulling up his skin, mind you this was ONE DAY after Dr. Ramer said he was fine! They immediately took his temperature (which Dr. Ramer did not do the day before when I took him in concerned of him not doing well) it was 93.3 he was cold to touch too! They did bloodwork only to find out his kidneys were failing!!!! This is 6 days after Dr. Ramers surgery and ONE day after she checked him and said he was FINE! He lived in HELL the last 6 days of his life! We did not get to bring him home from the other Vet we took him too for a second opinion he had to be put to sleep! I am heartbroken the way he lived the last 6 days of his life having a surgery that Dr. Ramer recommended which now realizing should of never happened. He was put to sleep with his stitches still in from Dr. Ramers surgery!! Thank you to the Vet we took him to for the second opinion and doing the right thing telling us it is time to say goodbye!!!!! We trusted her and her professional opinion on this surgery, only she knew the right thing to do for our cat and she was wrong!!! It was never about the thousands of dollars spent it is what she put our poor baby through at the age of 15 he was family and did not deserve to be put through this surgery if there was any doubt at his age. We were lead down the wrong path and suggest you question and get second opinions which facing situations like this for your fur baby! Would hate for you to have to go through want our fur baby and family went through the last 6 days of his life watching him suffer and struggle to live! RIP Snowbuddy so sorry for what you were put through it just breaks my heart makes me sick at my stomach, I cry just thinking about what you you were put through~ It is hard to shake that last image of him and what he went through after giving us 15 years of love and trust!!! Having heard nothing but good things about this clinic, I took my sick dog there this morning. I had an afternoon appointment with my regular Vet, but wanted to get my dog seen as soon as possible and they recommended this clinic, also. Unfortunately, I was turned me away; they told me they "couldn't see first time sick patients today." I was in a bit of shock at that and didn't think to ask why, but I called them when I got home and asked. Apparently, their one and only Vet (and the practice owner) wasn't feeling well and wasn't up to taking in new clients today. I find this unacceptable. If the Vet isn't well, she should stay home as she is exposing any pet owners she does see to whatever she has. She is also not representing the information on her website very well. I will be keeping my appointment with my regular Vet and advising them against recommending this Walk-In clinic. read more

Though I'm giving this vet clinic 3 stars, I will continue to go there because they have our records and it's just that difficult hard to find good customer service anywhere. The reason I'm giving this business 3 stars is because they are not good on the phone. One of the best things about a small neighborhood clinic is the customer service. They know you and your pet. To that you's say, "they can't remember everyone." Correct! That's why one of the first questions should be, "are you a current client?" This would be helpful when telling me things like, "make sure you have her records." She quickly found everything when I told her I was a customer. On the phone, It was assumed I wasn't, and the woman was very short with me. I will say this about anyone working at a fast food restaurant, or a veterinarian office...if you don't enjoy what you do, change careers. I was an administrative assistant for 10 years and loved what I did. I knew my responsibility was essential for the business. This is the first time I've experienced this in this office and hope it was the last as well. read more

We took our 9 year old lab here for a surgery consultation that our regular vet recommended. From the minute we walked in the door the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. This animal hospital is clean and it's staff does a great job of making you and your pet feel comfortable. Dr. Ramer was great with our dog and she answered all of our questions and concerns, putting our minds at ease. Prices are reasonable and they offer a 10% military discount.
