Needed to find a new and convenient dermatologist office since the practice I used to go to had changed doctors since I last went. Walk-in Dermatology in Plainview made it super easy to make an appointment online. There is also the option to walk in if you need be seen immediately. You can call head if you want to check the wait time. I made an appointment online which was easy to follow the steps to request the appointment. Checking in was took a little bit of time since I was a new patient. You have to check in at the desk first and then you will be directed to use one of the many tablet kiosks to enter in the intake information. I saw Dr. Evelyn Greco at this location. She diagnosed my skin issue right away and prescribed me a creme that helped resolve my skin issues. She also gave great advice to deal with flare ups and recommended products to use everyday to help prevent flare ups. She also gave me some samples of lotion to take home. Had a great experience here and would return if I need to in the future. read more

Excellent experience here. I came in literally three minutes before they were closing and covered in sweat from a workout. I didn't realize they closed at 12:30 and was worried about not getting in considering a recent skin breakout. They took me in despite all of this, were all friendly and knowledgeable and I was happy with the results. I'm glad I realized this place was here. read more

I was sent to Walk-in Dermatology to get a rash looked at this morning by regular MD and while I have never been to this Plainview location or any walk-in dermatology location for that matter I was aware of the facility. Everyone from the check-in desk to the doctors assistance and the doctor were wonderful. Answered my questions and eased my anxieties. Wait time to see a doctor was great and I was in and out quite quickly. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who needs dermatology treatment, especially in urgent situations. read more

I recently walked-in to Walk-In Dermatology Plainview office with a rash that was so itchy I wanted to rip skim off. I was put in a room with Dr.Evelyn Greco who knew right away it was poison ivy. She prescribed pills and a cream. She literally reached out to me a few days later to check on how I was doing. After another visit due to outbreak spreading she made a tiny adjustment and I stopped itching within hours. The rash stopped spreading and was no longer itchy. The MA in room was helpful the front desk was pleasant and got me right back into a room. I expected to have to wait for a long time based on not needing an appointment but that was not the case. I always make appointments ahead of time with Dr. Evelyn Greco, as I followed her from her previous practice. I have never had more than a 5 minute wait for my scheduled appointment but imagine if going as an urgent care appointment, probably the wait times may get long. (There's no other derm urgent cares that I am aware of, so, supply and demand!) I find the office staff to be friendly and the facility to be exceptionally clean. I always feel that I receive very thorough care from the doctor and supporting staff, which is really impressive from a facility that has an urgent care component. Dr. Greco pays very close attention to her patients and has the perfect level of expertise in her bedside manner without being an alarmist. I am so thankful for her great care. read more

This place is just fantastic. The staff is always friendly and I have never waited a long time when I walk in after work. It is only one item per visit which makes sense though if you want more than one taken care of you can come back or make a full body scan appointment. read more

Dr. Grecco is a dream of a dermatologist. She is patient, kind and extremely knowledgable. While there can be a bit of a wait if you are a walk in, this is to be expected, and in my own personal experience, it has never been that long. But every appointment I have ever had scheduled was always started on or very close to time. How they are able to do this with a walk in clinic, I have no idea. Superheroes. Having been diagnosed with skin cancer from another doctor who no longer works at this office, I was very concerned about finding an equally attentive doctor to manage my care moving forward. I was assured Dr. Grecco would be wonderful and more than meet my expectations. And she certainly did - she exceeded them. Knowing this is something I need to watch for life, I have very high expectations for my medical team and care, and I can now rest assured knowing I am in very capable and caring hands. Finding a gem like Dr. Grecco is a very unexpected treasure to discover at a "walk in derm" place. You would imagine she would have a very private practice with an absurdly long waitlist. Anyone who is fortunate enough to find this doctor, is very lucky indeed. I just hope her patients know enough to be grateful and are as nice to her as she is to us! Serving clientele in one of the most entitled areas of the country has got to be challenging. And because she is a great doctor, she will diagnose you straight up. She takes the possible pitfalls of dermatology seriously. So it's not always good news. But what IS always good news - great news in fact - is that she will take care of it. We live in an imperfect world with bodies that age and we all battle sun damage, some more than others. The best we can hope for is to have someone like Dr. Grecco, helping us to fight back the hands of time and the ravages of the sun and encouraging us to make the best choices we can to work with our own genetics to be the healthiest versions of ourselves that we can possibly be. I was seeing a very competent and pleasant aesthetician to work on some skin issues. I paid in full for a package of laser treatments. I received one treatment. When I tried to book the second treatment I was told the machine was broken and they would get back to me. I waited another month and heard nothing. I called a few times and then went into the office. I was told that the aesthetician did not work there anymore and they do not know when the machine would be fixed. I was directed to call a person in the Greenvale office who was the only one who could discuss this issue. This person was not available any time I called, and messages were never answered. I then used the email on the site and asked for a manager. I am requesting a refund for the unused treatments. The manager that replied was unhelpful and rude. I am still getting the run around with no answers. Of course all of this is unprofessional and unethical. They should have contacted me as soon as they could not provide the treatments that I paid for and given me options. I should not have to waste my time with phone calls, emails, and a visit to the office with no results. This is not how a business should be run. read more

This is not a good place for walk-in, for sure. A set of unfriendly front-office team, lacks this skill to organize scheduled appointments along with the walk-ins, also acts rude to the patients who comes in after 4:30PM though the open hours end only by 5:30PM. When i registered the walk-in appointment, there was only 2 or 3(max) walk-in patients before me. I still had to wait 2 hours and a little more due to the pre-scheduled patients. By the time doctor came in for consultation, i had made up my mind to never go back to this place. Just waisted my copayments and insurance. I am not even planning to follow the medication prescribed since i do not want to go back to this "business" group. Their testimonials seems to be pure marketing scams..beware.. GRECCO and Evan and the woman who is on the reception denied to attend him alleging he was late. But I called before we left home saying exactly the time we would be there and they said it was OK. Will never go back. Met with the doctor who asked if I had used a steroid ointment (I hadn't as wanted a doctor to look at it). Then she wanted to do a biopsy for contact dermatitis. When I said I didnt want to do that, she prescribed a medication without telling me what it was and why she chose that, just saying if anyone asked, just say it was an ointment, not a pill. When I went to the pharmacy, I found out it was an immunosuppressant (and not the first thing to try for a contact dermatitis) which scared me. I went back to the office to talk to the doctor and was told I would get a call from her. Instead someone else called - not even sure she was a nurse and told me to use Aquaphor - an OTC ointment. I asked for a steroid ointment and was then told they thought my skin was too thin. She said the doctor would call me - still waiting. Good thing I'm not holding my breath. Now I need to go to my regular dermatologist. All of this could have been avoided if the doctor took the time to explain things and made me part of the decision. read more

Seems like they are just designed to make money. They push house made medications that cost out of pocket instead of what insurance will cover. Also, any dermatologist I have seen before will write prescriptions to cover you for a year after a visit, they make you come back every 6 months so they can charge for an office visit. read more

Update: The medical director, Stacey Brisman called me and invited me to come in so she can take a look. I appreciated her reaching out but when I got there she kept saying how the esthetician that did my treatment does hers, her families etc which is great for her but does not compare to me as a TAN skinned woman. When I expressed my concern about the hyperpigmentation left over from the treatment she said she doesn't know what it looked like before so she can't say. Mind you the aesthetician should have taken a before picture initially but she didn't, another overlooked and un-acknowledged mistake. Anyways Dr Brisman said she can only prescribe hydrocortisone to it and that it SHOULD go away.. my wedding is in 3 weeks.... I also told her how the esthetician Kim didn't even micro-needle my whole face properly and missed a bunch of spots and she seemed to glaze over that by saying "I wasn't there so I can't say". She emphasized that she cares about customer satisfaction but was doing little to nothing to satisfy me other than defending her staff and offering me a "discount" on my next treatment which she said we can discuss down the line. She said reviews mean a lot to them and said "I'm not asking you to remove it but they go a long way for us" which seems a bit like that's the only thing they cared about. As I was leaving the girls who worked there were sitting and smirking at one another as if I couldn't see them. I could tell they all discussed this issue beforehand. EXTREMELY hostile environment and zero professionalism. There is a way to handle business and it starts from the top down... comfort, respect and putting your own ego aside to make the patient satisfied should be above all. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
