I found this place online when I came home from a really disappointing dermatologist visit in New Hyde park. I have an infected cyst and the derm said they couldn't do anything for it so they referred me to a surgical derm which could only take it out a month later I can't wait that long with an infected cyst. So I went online and I found this dermatologist location and I'm so glad I did. I had dr, Cerveny and he took out the infection, put me on antibiotics and will remove the root next week when the infection subsides. Dr. Cerveny was super professional and welcoming for my first visit and consultation. He had me in and out of that office and was very helpful in educating me about my health concerns. The office does get busy, even with early appointments so do prepare to wait a bit before going in. The parking situation may be an inconvenience for some as it's super tight and small, but they provide valet service if you feel it'll be a hassle getting in and out which is nice. I had no complaints. The front desk staff were awesome and super friendly. My first impressions of this office was great! read more

I try and do an annual skin checkup, which is extremely important. The staff and Dr's are friendly and personable. I like that they have valet parking now because it's such small parking lot and the alternative is crossing great neck road which isn't dangerous. read more

They make it extremely difficult to get test results back. They will call you and say they have the test results. But if you miss the phone call, you have to wait another day to get the results. It's very unprofessional. People have jobs and can't always answer the phone. They will also not connect you to the office in which you had the appointment. Danielle Hughes (formerly Domini) is excellent. I went in to treat acne and continue with a plan from my dermatologist before I moved, but was also concerned about a raised mole that was uncomfortable on my upper middle back. Without pressuring me to Danielle offered to remove it and have the collected material sent for a biopsy. The removal was entirely painless and they called me asap with the negative biopsy result. Going to a dermatologist can be a humbling at best, embarrassing at worst experience when you're dealing with unwanted skin conditions and it's important to have kind staff who genuinely listen and have good bedside manner. I went to the Bayshore office and saw Ann Lloyd I have followed her all over Long Island she is a truly wonderful doctor and person she listens she talks to you to make you understand just all around a great person her tech was so polite and caring and the front staff of the Bayshore office is absolutely fantastic everybody has a smile on their face everybody was willing to help you no questions asked just whatever you needed I would highly recommend them to anybody read more

The staff. Was called after biopsy and told I might have skin cancer. When I said I will think about making another appt, because I live far away and wanted a second opinion,my morning became a nightmare. About 10 minutes after the call, the police were at my front door. The doctors office called the police on me because I didn't make the appt to follow-up, I ended up in the hospital. I was released when my husband arrived. This is the USA . We have the right to to choose if we want to go to another doctor, and not taken against your will out of our homes. I have been seeing Dr Cervany for over 10 years now and he is wonderful I only have great things to say about him. However, the group as a whole, meaning Schweiger, is absolutely horrible. Overbooked, waiting over an hour after your scheduled appointment time, and you cannot just call the office, you get linked to a call center that is mostly useless. The absolute worst part of my experiences here is the fact that they clearly do not keep up with their billing and filing system. I have been billed for items I've paid for MULTIPLE times for MULTIPLE visits and it usually takes forever to get it straightened out. I have email receipts coming directly from their office but they "don't have it on file" ever and even after sending them the proof they bill me AGAIN. Extremely sketchy. I would absolutely find a group that cares more about their patients...Seems like some sort of front or fraud is going on with this group. read more

Cerveny and the office has always been good to me. All issues have been tangential. Don't use Zoc Doc to schedule an appointment from Schweiger's website, it doesn't work properly and there's no way to confirm the appointment. Unfortunately, this location also has a parking problem, not nearly enough parking for how many patients they see. I used to just park a block away and be habitually a few minutes late to the appointment, but now their solution to hire valet parking has not been great either, considering the valet stole a pair of sunglasses from my car. read more

I've always been hesitant to get a full body check-up; its not at all uncomfortable as I imagined as they give you a robe. Dr. Cerveny is my go to dermatologist as he is professional and very thorough, walking around with his "spray can" looking at any suspicious spot that I have concern with, or one he sees & freezes the spot or takes a sample with minimal discomfort. I love to go into the building because its modern, not long of a wait and the examining rooms are state of the art. read more

Unacceptable wait times! We waited over an hour for our first appointment. We saw Dr Cerveny for 5 minutes to treat my daughters wart. I decided to book the follow up visit for the first appointment at 7am so we would not have to wait. We did not get called in until 7:25am. He did not see us until 7:38am and we were out of there by 7:45am. I shared my disappointment with the wait times and he just apologized. The office does not respect your time and I would not recommend this business at all. There are plenty of other dermatologists to choose from. read more

Their appointment scheduling is an absolute mess they must triple book time slots because everytime i have gone i have waited AT LEAST a hour and a half! I have even walked out after 2 hours of waiting. It is insane to have to wait that long especially when my actual appointment only last 5min. Its such a shame because the office is very clean and organized and tech savy and the drs are very nice and professional... just wish they got the scheduling problem fixed. read more

They book multiple appoointments for each time slot. They want to double and triple book every ten minutes knowing full well there is zero chance the Drs will be ready at that time. They make you wait 45-60 mins every single time. First in the waiting room and then inside the room. I have been seeing Dr. Dolitsky for years out of the Long Beach office and she was always professional. I recently moved to Massapequa and was happy to see her working out of the Amityville office. She detected some pre-cancer cells on my upper lip and prescribed a cream to apply to the area with follow up 3 weeks later. My pharmacy called to say this prescription would cost me $1500.00 with my insurance, and I told them not to fill the presecription. I contacted the office to see if there was an alternative medicine or procedure that could be used. Four weeks later and no response! This practice just lost a long time patient. read more

Absolutely awful experience. I came in with complaining of hives and itchy ness all over my body, and I told my dermatologist I had been taking Benadryl to cope with being constantly itchy. All he told me was to keep taking Benadryl until it doesn't help anymore. He didn't ask to see my skin, or take a sea, didn't run any tests. Just sent me out and told me " eh we usually can't find the source of the itching anyway" 10/10 do NOT recommend read more

The front desk staff at Schweiger in Amityville is very friendly and seem to work well together. I've been going there for years. The nurses most who have been there for years r also very friendly and competent. Linda one of the PAs is terrific and Dr.Cervegny is super professional.. non judgmental..makes u feel important and always has time to answer your questions and concerns. I was so disappointed with my visit for the first time. Dr. Dolitsky has zero communication skills. I was so disappointed. I have a family history of melanoma and saw from her credentials how qualified she was on zocdoc . Just because you have an amazing resumes doesn't mean you're an amazing doctor. She was very brief with me and didn't go into detail. I had two skin lesions that have been irritated and I wanted her to remove them due to the enlargement that they grow during pregnancy. She only said she would remove one , which three days later is still causing pain. She was very aggressive in the removal. She gave no instructions on how to care for the removal as well as when to come back for a follow up for a body scan. Furthermore, I was very interested in receiving a Botox treatment from her but because she was so rude and unapproachable I didn't even get to ask her. I was very disappointed because I was looking forward to meeting her. read more

Zero bedside manner. Made an appointment to see a doctor and they stuck me with the P.A. (physician's assistant) who had no bedside manner and spent less than 2 minutes with me. Never heard back from them, months and months went by. Until.....I got a certified letter almost a year later informing me that I had skin cancer. Lovely way to find out something so devastating. They are negligible. Find a more reputable doctor. Heed the warning reviews on this page. They are there for a reason. My mother is a patient here ( formally known as Island Dermatology) and she referred me to this office for care. This medical group is on top of their game. From the moment of my call to request an appointment, to getting registered as a new patient, to being seen & getting prescriptions and checking out, it was a friendly, helpful, knowledgeable professional staff from start to finish. I have been going to this office for years. I have NEVER had a bad experience. The ladies behind the desk are always so kind and friendly. When you are there it feels like you are the only one in the room. I either see Dr. Cervany or the PA Linda. They NEVER make you feel rushed. They speak in terms that you can understand which is important. I went there today with a situation that I thought would have been better handled in person rather than by phone. I didn't expect to leave the office with what I was asking for but Liz went above and beyond to try and get what I needed. I was not there 15 minutes and was walking out with what I came there for. I had an appointment with Dr. Dolitsky for my acne and I was very disappointed. First of all, she is very condescending when she's talking to you as if she knows more about your skin than you do. She came into the room, looked at my skin for less than a minute, said the names of all the prescriptions she was prescribing me, and left the room. She did not explain what the medications were, how to take/use them, and she didn't even give me a chance to ask any questions.
