I was in the ER this morning and had 4 Rx's electronically sent to Walgreens. Those were sent approximately 1:00. We needed to get home and my husband would swing by and pick them up later. I have switched to the on-line pharmacy through my insurance, Centerwell who are amazing. I only use Walgreens if I need something instantly. When my husband went to pick meds up at about 5:30 he was told 1 was out of stock, 1 was ready and 2 were waiting. The one that was not available was the antibiotic I really needed. So for for 4.5 hours it never occurred to anyone in the pharmacy to call me and lmk they did not have that one in stock. So by now it is 6:15. Walmart Pharmacy closes at 7:00. I have to call the ER, explain this snafu to them. Request that they send a new order for the antibiotics to Walmart. By now there are 27 minutes to work in and I did not get the ONLY medication important. No wonder they pull in 1 or 2 stars. Absolutely worthless, unprofessional, non-thinking mouth breathers. I will absolutely NEVER use them again. There is no thinking on their feet. There is one lady working there who actually has a handle on everything. That is Jackie. No one else is worth dealing with. Even the pharmacist was a major disappointment. PHARMACISTS know medications, but when I went to their little consultation window to ask him about my concern over a drug interaction his answer was "ask your doctor". Seriously? Short staffed, slow lines, as is the case with all Walgreens. This one is cleaner and brighter than most, but the prices for snacks and groceries are very high. I would go elsewhere for prescriptions and you can buy OTC medications cheaper on line or at Costco. read more

Went in to pick up a photo order and witnessed another customer have a horrible experience. Juanita, at the photo pick up counter, was extremely rude to the lady in front of me. After looking haphazardly through a pile of photos, she told her that her order did not exist. Not that it wasn't there, or it was misplaced, but that it was not in existence. She attempted to show her the order email, that verified name, the order, and the store, and that it was ready for pick up at the Photo Booth counter. She would not look at it And instead told her that she could come around the counter and look for herself. She left the store, of course, but I honestly don't see how the store is continuing to operate with such poor customer service. I waited in the drive through line for 15 minutes at this Walgreens and when it was finally my turn to pick up my prescription, the pharmacist put up the "on break" sign at 6:42 when they go on break at 6:45. I was the only car left Still in line. this is a terrible place to pick up medicine. Very disappointed in service here. Yesterday I got notice that one of my meds was ready for pickup. So I gotta do just that. Turns out when I showed up they couldn't FIND my meds and I was told to come back later because the pharmacist was on a meal break. So okay I tell them I'll come back the next day. After receiving ANOTHER text notice my meds were ready I went to go pick up only for them to tell me they STILL couldn't find it. Somehow in the 15 working hours since my initial attempt no one could be bothered to have the meds rebuilt or secured. This is patently ridiculous and I will be transferring my meds to another pharmacy and not doing business with this location any further. read more

I very rarely post bad reviews unless the bad service has happened multiple times. Everyone has a bad day. In the past year I have seen the service of this pharmacy decline horribly. Pharmacy takes no less than 3 hours to fill a script that a Dr calls in (Nov 2 - 3.5 hours Dec 12- 3.5 hours). Today... only 1 of the 2 scripts were available - the main script I needed to start asap to get better was out of stock! Staff couldn't tell me what TIME the medicine will deliver tomorrow. In the meantime, I am looking at probably missing a full day (2/day) of medicine to get over the Covid I caught, and get back to work. The staff is very nice, but clearly are short staffed and has been for a long time now. Extreme stress causes errors.... Walgreens Corporate/Management.. YOUR job is to make sure that this does not happen! I also did a curbside pickup today, and checked in, and waited over 25 minutes after the email came saying someone will be out shortly. I called the store (impossible!!). Finally got a live person and was told that they are not getting the notifications when someone is here to pick up. Not my problem. There is a reason for all of the bad reviews for this location,,, it's not new... and it's not because Woodstock residents are a bunch of Karen's. Fix it!! Is 0 stars an option? Or negative stars? I needed some medications refilled, and had my insurance changing at the end of the month. I sent in my refills twice, and both times they got cancelled without notifying me. When I went to pick them up, I was told they could not process them because of the insurance change, and that I would have to pay out of pocket. I told the pharmacist I had sent them in 2 weeks earlier to avoid this. I was then told it was because they were generic prescription and they didn't have them in stock. So which is it? Either way, now I'm without some important medications for 2 months. They are also the same prescriptions I have always had refilled on that insurance, nothing new. I had 1 prescription that was able to be filled ahead of time, so when I said I would just take that one and be finding a new pharmacy, the pharmacist threw it in the drop box and didn't say a word. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Now I need to figure out how I'm getting my needed medications without costing an arm and a leg. Would not recommend. read more

CAUTION: STAY AWAY! The people in the pharmacy are totally incompetent. They cannot even use their own computer system. The wait time to pick-up an (already-filled) Rx can be almost an hour. They use the same line to register people for Covid shots as they do for Rx pick-up. Ok, I am going to pile on here. On my way from home from work, 6.00 pm +/-, the drive through. I give them my child's name and address, and the tech looks at the computer and says: "the doctor just called in the prescription 15 minutes ago, it will be another hour"...I tell her, I was sitting on the side of my bed at 7.30 this morning when the doctor called it in, the doctor is my wife. The tech says: "it will be ready in an hour". It pisses me off for two reasons, first, she is lying and maybe it is Walgreen's computer telling her to do this & if they are telling other patients similar lies, it is the docs fault, it makes the docs look bad. I know when the docs call it goes on a recording or answering machine, but either way, it is not honest and makes my wife look bad not Walgreen's. read more

So, let's start with, it's Walgreens. It's a corporate company. They deal with hundreds of prescriptions a day. The people who work the retail side of the store are great. I've never had issue with any of them. Most of those in the pharmacy are generally very helpful. They are very overworked. There are a couple of the techs that are completely rude and should find another way to pay their rent, because what they are doing isn't their wheel house. I've had to speak to the pharmacists on numerous occasions and they are always very kind, compassionate, and helpful. The management here needs to seek out new ways to help the pharmacy overflow. WORST PHARMACY EVER!!! I would give zero stars if I could! I moved to Woodstock in July and since then I have had nothing but problems trying to fill my prescriptions at this pharmacy. Whether it's that they said it would be ready and then it wasn't, they said they would call and they didn't, they filled it for the wrong dosage, the list goes on. I have made two attempts this week to simply drop off my scripts to be filled and still haven't been able to. The first was at 2:30pm on a Tuesday and the drive through line was 7 cars deep and barely moving. After 20 minutes waiting I gave up and drove away. Then tonight I tried again after I got off work at 7pm to drop off my Rx's, but needed to grab a few items from the store, so I went in. Waited for 15 minutes behind two gentlemen, one was at the counter already when I got there and the other was next in line. Four more people came in behind me and commented that the drive through line was 10 cars deep and not moving and they came in thinking it would be faster. WRONG! After another 10 minutes, I decided to get out of line to shop first, rather than wait, and return later hoping the line would be shorter. After 10-15 minutes of shopping, I returned just in time to see the man who was there when I first arrived JUST get his items and walk away from the counter. Seriously?! He was there over 30 minutes! The line had increased this time by about 3 more people, so I thought I would check out at the front and just go to the drive through... Surely that would be better by now. NOPE! How is it that on a Wednesday (at now 7:45pm) there is such a backup at the pharmacy?! I drove away angry once again and still have yet to be able to simply drop off my Rx for them to fill! I have a chronic illness and need to fill a paper prescription every month, which costs lots of money as it is, I certainly don't need it to cost me this much time as well. Last month, I went through the same charade, waited over 30 minutes in line, only to witness from the back of the 8-people-deep line that the pharmacist handed MY Rx to a different customer with the same last name. Thank God HE noticed her error and said something, or that would've been yet another fiasco that this staff would struggle to figure out. It's always absolute chaos behind the counter, phones constantly ringing with no answer, 7 or so employees running around like chickens with their heads cut off, etc. This is a small town, it shouldn't be THAT difficult to manage. Dear Walgreens I am a customer of Walgreens for years and so disappointed in the Woodstock, IL branch. I have never seen such horrible service. Having worked in retail and a hospital setting I am appalled at the recent stunt Walgreens of Woodstock has pulled. In a matter of 3 days 4 of your staff members managed to mess up my simple prescription. I called on Thursday to get a Request for prescription sent to my doctor. On Friday I was told it was not sent at all (1#staff member woman on phone messed up). Spoke with my doctor's office Friday and they sent the request of approval and called me to tell me they sent it to Woodstock Walgreens Friday I went to go pick up prescription (2# Indian man in drive through) told me it's not ready still waiting on request, and it was never sent. Friday night got an automated call saying it's ready for pick up at 920pm but pending approval from my doctor's office. That late at night how can you get it approved from doctor's office? So I called and same Indian man from drive through he said no it's not approved and not ready. I then asked how can it get approved over weekend? No one is in doctor's office and the request fax won't be seen till Monday. Saturday called doctor's office and they told me they did send a request to Walgreens in Woodstock Friday and called. I then called Woodstock Walgreens at 9am and spoke with (a woman on the phone #3) she said sorry it did come in on Friday and my doctor's office did call! She said sorry it will be ready for pick up today must have been "computer error". Got an automated call at 1pm Saturday (I work overnights and was sleeping) I went to pick up the prescription at 10pm before work... The( older man#4 in drive through) was having difficulty with the computer system (user error) the customer before me had a lot of questions that this man could not answer delayed the drive through line significantly. I sent my card in the tube and when he asked how he can help I told him I sent my card I'm going be late for work. He sent me the tube back with my card! Then I sent it back to pay. Then he sent me a recite with no signature line to sign. I asked him where do I sign? He said "oh it must of got cut off sign anywhere". I send it back. Then he tells me "oops I signed wrong one he will send me the one with the signature line"! Then I get the bag of prescription and no card! I told him I need my card he says it's in the tube...when the tube comes this time the pen is not secure and flies out on the floor under my car! I dig through my purse and find a pen resign a recite and find the card on a black clipboard upside down backwards since the back of the box is black and the clip board is black you can't see it! So he was confused if he sent the card or not! I cannot believe that just happened I was so upset and very late to work! I was in drive through over 30mins with him "helping" me he was so confused made the whole experience horrible! I only come to this Walgreens because it is 1mile from my house. Target and Walmart do not provide 24/7 service and CVS is too far from my home. Every month there is an issue with my monthly prescription whether it's not ready (auto fill) or the automated system calls and leaves a message telling me its ready when It is not. Also last year Walgreens didn't tell me my prescription was expired and I had to find out the hard way the answer I got was "we can't notify everyone of when their prescription expires". Doesn't the computer say 1 last refill and cant the drive through staff offer that information to the customer!? I stayed calm but was very upset about the whole event thur-sat Walgreens drama, if you care about customer service please see this as an opportunity to fix these major errors with staff! read more

I talked with a photo specialist on the phone named Jason, I told him that I was having an issue downloading a photo on the website. He was very helpful and patient while talking to me. He told me if I came in that he would help me as much as possible. So I went in and he totally stood by his word and he stood there and helped me until I was satisfied.
