I used to get my prescriptions filled at Rite Aid Pharmacy in White House TN...until Rite Aid closed and sent their patients to Walgreens across the street. (I was bummed...they pharmacists were super nice at Rite Aid.) Walgreens pharmacy White House used to be pretty good, as well...most of the pharmacists & staff were pretty friendly & caring. There have been a number of staff changes in the past year or so and I am sorry to report that I am no longer able to endorse this pharmacy after the 3rd or 4th (or more) unpleasant interaction with this place of business. I realize all heath care workers are under stress these days - I appreciate that; however, that does not give pharmacy staff the right to flippantly behave unprofessionally and engage in activities that are entirely and unequivocally outside of their purview, as they did in my case. Thankfully, we have options for pharmacy care in this area and customers are not trapped with how they are treated at a pharmacy or anywhere else. We can vote with our feet and take our business and needed care elsewhere; which is what I have done. I had one medication, a couple of years ago, that varied in price from month to month and within the same month at different Walgreens stores (when the White House Store was out of stock) from $20 to over $80 for the *same* medication - *same* dose - *same* insurance; however, I stuck with Walgreens through all of that nonsense because my primary pharmacist, who took the time to get to know me and made me feel valued, was also in disbelief of the situation herself and was, at least, validating. Unfortunately, she is no longer at Walgreens White House TN. In addition, potential customers should note that the Walgreens app is very poor (most of the time it doesn't work). I spent 2 hours trying to sign up for a COVID-19 test on the app and then the website, without success. I called the store and they said, without a crumb of any sort of care whatsoever, "it is a third party company that handles all of our scheduling...we can't help you." When I asked could they at least tell corporate or whoever was in charge of the broken system, I received a snotty response...again, they could care less. It took me less than 5 minutes to sign up for a test at CVS, same day, the next town over. The staff at the CVS who administered the test to me were clearly overworked, however, they took the time to treat me politely and respectfully. It that too much to ask these days? I recommend potential customers chose another pharmacy other than Walgreens White House TN... even if you have to drive out of your way to another town. Chances are, most likely, if I am having these experiences at Walgreens White House TN, so are many others. (This is, most likely, *not* an anomaly.) No one needs added stress, upset and unacceptable customer service while they are dealing with an illness(es). read more
