Tried to fill a prescription from urgent care here for amoxicillin for my son who has strep. First, the pharmacist couldn't figure out the prescription and was asking me the doctor's middle name. It's urgent care. I've never seen the doctor. I have no idea what their middle name is or their oldest child's name or any other oddly specific info. She asked the guy next to her because she's confused and it turns out she thinks that the nurse practitioners title abbreviation is part of their name. I don't know it seems like she gets that figured out. I had already started off by saying I had Kaiser. I knew that it would not be covered at Walgreens. I was fine paying out-of-pocket. I went to the good RX site. I had a coupon. It was fine. but she still insists on asking me for my insurance information which I give to her for her to put it in her computer system and then tell me they don't take it . Then she asks me if I went to the good RX site and I'm like yes here is the coupon code. Thank you. then she's walking around, trying to figure out how to fill the prescription and for a second she lost the printed prescription so she scrambling trying to find that, and she asks her coworker again how she fills the amoxicillin using the machine . So we've been there a solid 20 minutes now just trying to get the information entered into her computer and now it's an additional 20 minutes of fiddling around trying to figure out how to fill it . First of all, they don't even deserve one star but no stars is not an option. This is absolutely the worst pharmacy I have ever had to deal with hands down. Not only are they late filling my prescriptions when they do fill them, they don't ever bother to let you know their ready almost every time I run out, they are at least 2 or three days late refilling them. I went there today to pick up my medication. When I got to the pharmacy section I asked to pick up my prescription in which the lady did, later to find out that she tell me they ran out of my medication the moment she was having issue inputting my insurance information. Then asking me to go to different Walgreens before they close if I wanted my medication. So, I drove to the next nearest Walgreens on 136th Colorado. In which the experience there was totally different I gave my information and within a few minutes I have my medication later the clerk tells me that my medication was already ready to pick in the other store in which I was originally in, and I told her they told me they ran out in which she confirmed me they haven't. I was upset knowing the clerk there could have giving me my medication but refused to because she couldn't type in my insurance correctly and used an excuse that they ran out. These types of incidents should be concerning since if it was a medication that deals with life-or-death situation could put people in risk since she can't do her job properly. The manager in the picture makes up policies and then is unable to back them up! A Spanish speaking woman bought clearance items and while trying to check out, was told that the limit was 4 clearance items. When the customer asked to be shown the policy, this useless manager said it could be found online and on the paper weekly ad. Once again the customer asked the manager to show it to her but of course the manager kept saying no because there is no policy that states that! Either the "manager" was trying to not sell clearance items in order for her to buy them all OR she was being discriminatory against the customer! It is wrong to make up store policies and then to top it off, not be able to produce/show it to customers. And to top it off the "manager" called the police on the customer who was trying to pay for sandals! This manager is wasting city resources, calling the police on a POC which could have gone so wrong! Who calls the police on a customer who is trying to pay for sandals on clearance? The customer was not being rude or trying to steal, she was literally trying to buy clearance items! Corporate needs to fire this so called manager, she is lying to customers, making up random policies and discriminating Walgreen customers! I know Walgreens is a great store to shop in with friendly employees, and this sour puss makes a huge dent on their reputation! She need to be fired!!!! I can definitely understand there being a limit imposed to make sure all customers have a chance at getting items, but I've never seen a limit on clearance and if there was a limit, it should be posted either up front with a cashier, on the aisle where the items are at, online where people can look it up or in the ad. The pharmacy is horrible. I got notification that 3 prescriptions were ready, after sitting in line for 45 minutes they said I had 2/3. I asked them to check again...they said no. Not 5-10 minutes after I left I get notification AGAIN that the prescription is ready! Apparently they could not take the five minutes to see if my prescription was in the new shipment and if it was enough to fill the already "filled" prescription. Now I need to spend another 45 minutes in line??? Really?!?! I'd give a zero if I can and will be switching pharmacies. read more

Had Rx from Urgent Care. Arrived at Walgreens Pharmacy at 9:40pm - they close at 10. The technician was unable to use microphone at Drive up so finally got Pharmacist to use the microphone. Sent in my Rx and the Pharmacist REFUSED to fill the prescription because they close at 10pm. When we responded it was 9it was now 9:45pm she told us she had other prescriptions to fill for tomorrow so refused again to fill a prescription for an antibiotic for a bladder infection because she didn't want to work 5 minutes late. Only later pharmacy open in entire north metro area - and she was rude when asked if there was another pharmacy she knew of we could take it to. Atrocious service and total lack of professionalism! Willing to let someone suffer until they open tomorrow. Got my Rx back and will take it elsewhere as I wouldn't trust them to fill it accurately. read more

I have never been so disrespected in my life. I got a script for my son who is 10 months old and I was calling around to see who could fill it. The pharmacist answered and was completely rude right off the bat. I asked him if he could fill the script and he was asking me why the pediatrician gave us this script for my son and told me that because I wasn't producing enough milk that it was my fault. The Walgreens itself isn't bad, but if you are thinking of having your prescriptions sent to ANY of the Walgreens in Thornton then you'll be lucky if you have them on time. They tell you over and over again that they will be ready the next day, which never comes, and that's if you are lucky enough to actually get on the phone with someone since all I've ever experienced from MULTIPLE Walgreens in the area is just being hung up on after waiting for 30+ minutes and never speaking to a single soul. And if you try to set up delivery, not only does it lie and say that you'll get it in 1-2 business days, but they will also lie to you when it was "picked up" because somehow my prescription was picked up for delivery THREE days ago and suddenly door dash is the one delivering it. Last I checked, door dash drivers don't pick up medications three days before delivering it. So over all, don't send your meds here because you won't get through to them on the phone, when you go to the pharmacy they will tell you every day that you come in that they will be ready the following day and they never are, and if you try delivery, oh guess what that doesn't work either. I was in the ED last night next door to this Walgreens so after I went here to buy the medication suggested by the dr. my sister was with me along with 2 other customers one buying a humidifier for her sick kids and a elderly gentleman grabbing some milk and a few groceries. The employee was doing a few price checks but was not voiding them out when he was done so it continued to look like it was an open transaction so all of our debit cards decline. we asked him to restart he refused and said if we don't like it WE COULD SHOP ELSE WHERE! he then got another co worker to the front to use another register I stated if this don't work I'll have to go somewhere else the first employee ANGEL stated what's your problem you bitch I was helping you. Walgreens is usually pretty great but this location really let me down. I scheduled a standard blood test (for school)and when I got there they told me I'd done it wrong. That's fine, the website isn't very well laid out and I did my best- but the woman helping me didn't want to actually help. She just wanted to give me a hard time about "that's not how this works." Really fun to waste my afternoon driving down to this location to then be harassed and sent away empty-handed. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I saw a video of a Hispanic woman in tears because the police were called on her when she tried to purchase more than 4 pairs of sandals that were on clearance. I have never heard of a policy where clearance items were limited. Clearance is there for a reason - to clear the store of the out of season merchandise to bring new seasonal merchandise in. Between the 4 stores I visited in my area, I bought around 100 different items (and definitely over 4 pairs of sandals) that were on clearance and spent $200 yesterday on clearance junk. Should I be worried that police will be called for me buying loads of clearance crap. I was there at 8 am when I found out Walgreens will be clearing their summer merchandise. Early bird gets the worm. That is how it is with any store's after season clearance. What happened here was racism because the woman did not speak English fluently. The corporate office should really do something about it. -They've literally lost a prescription I dropped off with an actual human, same with my friend. - I've called in advance to ensure they have something in stock, they count out the pills to make sure they have enough, I get there and drop the prescription off, come back 45 mins later, they tell me they are out of the medication. I go inside and talk to a pharmacist and they confirm they are out. I tell him to look harder because another pharmacist an hour ago told me they had it. They look harder and find it. Then they tell me the prescription is missing information. Well now it's just after closing time for the vet on a Friday so I have to wait until Monday, because they are a bunch of morons. And my dog has to suffer. -I've ordered pickup of non-prescription stuff. I go inside to the photo counter like the email says, they tell me they have no idea what I'm talking about. Then I go to the drive through and same. Fuming, I go to the parking lot and click "I am here" for curbside and magically someone appears with my order. -I've ordered photos, gotten an email saying my order was ready, showed up and they can't even find it with my order number. The lady looks around while she talks on her phone, at work, to her friend, about her boyfriend. She eventually ends up reprinting after 30 minutes of failure and gives me the item for free. -every time I try to use the GoodRx card, they consistently charge more than what the app states. There's always a line and because I'm not a jerk I don't want to make them call, but I'm going to in the future. I've never had this happen with any other pharmacy, and GoodRx updates their prices daily. It's scammy. -Lastly, they are almost always rude and the line at the drive thru is always horrendous because they are also incredibly slow. I don't know how a store can fail so badly in every aspect, and it's a shame this is the closest Walgreens. Get your act together people! They change their hours everyday. Then when they shut down The drive through, the line was a 30 min wait stretched around the store. Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience here earlier this evening. I'm not usually one to write bad reviews, and at the risk of sounding like a cliche- this one was bad enough I felt I had to share it. I came to this location to pick up one item- dog food. I grabbed it and got in line behind a woman who was making a return. I don't know if the cashier didn't know how to do returns, maybe she was new, maybe the transaction was difficult, in any case, I waited, patiently I might add. I have absolutely no problem waiting. I am generally a very patient person. As this specific transaction was taking a very long time, the line behind me started to stack up. It was then I noticed an employee wandering around, as the line started to stack. I didn't question the situation and continued to wait. The gentlemen behind me grew impatient and asked the wondering employee if there was another register open. She says yes, she can help him in beauty. I found this odd considering I had been in front of him and had been waiting longer, but I made absolutely no fuss. After approx. 25 minutes more of waiting, (not an exaggeration, I checked the time) the woman comes back and asks if anyone else would like to be rung up in beauty. By this time there's at least seven more people in line. I worked at Starbucks for 5 years, so I get it, things can get hectic and sometimes there's nothing you can do. I said yes, as I was next in line. I came over and she said to another customer; "Excuse me sir, I need to ring this girl up. She hasn't fought anyone in line yet so I guess I should ring her up." I found that a bit odd and slightly offensive but I brushed it off. She then said to me, "Wow, you look really miserable, so I figured I'd better check you out." I replied; "Nope, not miserable, just waiting." She had a very sarcastic and offensive tone. I was very offended and I can honestly say I will drive out of my way to go to another Walgreens even though I can literally see this one from my house. And I sincerely hope the manager of this location sees this review, not for the employee to get in trouble, but maybe so they can focus on their customer service a little more. I went to get my annual flu shot at the same Walgreens I've received it over 10 years. This time they charged my credit card $65. I asked why and the pharmacist said there was a change to Medicare. Since I hadn't read the 2022 Medicare Guide I thought this could be true so I paid it. I found out this was wrong so went back to get my money back. I was told by the pharmacist I'd have to get my money back from Medicare. So I called Walgreens 800 customer support and they opened a case for me to get my money back and told I'd hear back in 3 days. A week later I called again and they said they couldn't explain why I hadn't been called back and updated my ticket. Days later I called back demanding answers and was passed around to three different people. The last person told me that Walgreens would now have to bill Medicare the $65 and then Medicare would have to send me a check which could take a 'month or so' for the $65 which made zero sense. I will never walk into a Walgreens again and don't except I'll ever see my money. read more
