I've been using this Walgreens location for years now and have always pleased! They rebuilt after the storm and never changed. The prices are not the greatest but the convenience is unmatched seeing how they're 24/7/365. Everything that's name brand has the Walgreens counterpart next to it which is great if your looking to save on pretty much the same product. Sometimes they have nice sales like BOGO or buy 2 get 1 free but I never seem to be there when they have such sales. The employees here are helpful for the most part. Some of them have worked here forever and run this place well. The store is immaculate, well stocked, and very neat. That's why I like it. Walgreens should use this store as an example of how it's done. I'll continue to use this location and suggest you visit too! read more

This may be the worst pharmacy I have personally ever dealt with a lady answered the phone not to sure what her name was but they are not experienced and they never have the medicine I need. If I can rate a 0 I would. This pharmacy should be shut down and I will be switching. read more

The asian guy at the front counter was extremely rude. I was making a purchase as a delivery driver and I was not familiar with their new credit card system. So I asked him how do I make the payment for this card. I was met with silence, and then he suddenly snatched my credit card from my hand, and tries to tap it, but failed, and then started giving me an attitude about it instead of asking me politely, if I can hand over my card to him for a second. It was extremely rude. This asian guy needs to be fired if he can't be trained on how to be respectful to customers. You can't just snatch things from customer's hands, especially if it's their credit card or ID. You ask for it, it's not like it's day-care or preschool where you try to steal a candy from a baby. Do not use this pharmacy if you can help it. The laziest people work in this pharmacy! When you call, you are on hold for what seems like forever. They answer the phone and put you right back on hold. This was done to me 8 times before I finally hung up. When you go into the store, the people in the pharmacy act like you are inconveniencing them. I only gave them 1 star because I can't give them 0 stars! read more

I scheduled a flu shot for 6 PM on 12/20/22. I was told to arrive 15 minutes before and filled out the paperwork online before I left home. I got there at 5:45, told the pharmacy I was there and was told to take a seat and wait. About 10 minutes later, a clerk had me fill out the same paperwork I completed online. I completed that paperwork and waited... and waited until 6:25 when I left because no one had bothered to tell me what was going on. I don't know on what planet that is acceptable, but it's not Earth. Unacceptable! read more

The pharmacy is always a chaotic mess and their customer service is extremely poor. I got a phone call saying my prescription was ready but i had errands to do. And I figured by the time I finish and get to the Walgreens, my prescription will be ready. But I should've learned from experience. It's never ready and im told to take a seat. I am only referring to the interactions I've had with their pharmacy; John the Pharmacist, I can't tell his last name however because Annette the Tech, REFUSED to tell me and replied "why are you asking?" I said I was filing a personal complaint...she then turned irate, as if he was a seal team 6 member. She spoke like an uneducated piece of trash. But enough about her. John (the pharmacist) has been nothing but a MAJOR source of stress thorough the pandemic. I am first responder, with Lupus. The first experience I had with him was pleasant...he had filled my RX one day early and then claimed the next time he did that as a "courtesy" for my field of work. When in reality that's the just Walgreens policy. Another time he refused to refill a rx for a lower dose unless I gave him back the other pills as if he was ACTUALLY a drug dealer making negotiations. Finally my last interaction I had with this miserable man was when he wouldn't fill my Librax (not a controlled substance) because it was too similar to another medication I'm on. I'm not sure that's even legal, I switched pharmacies and haven't had a problem since. The WONDERFUL manager Danny, brought closure and a formal apology that he didn't personally owe me. Walgreens pharmacy is one of the best pharmacies in the neighborhood. Best pharmacy best service emails phone calls for notification that medication is ready. I had an issue with the Express Pick Up kiosk Inside where it says put in your info pick up your meds skip the line no waiting but you actually have to wait on line but that's not a big deal. Drive through option is my favorite option. Store is clean it has best available makeup products over the counter medications. I come here for all my pharmacy quick pick up things. read more

CVS was out of my medicine and sent my script over to Walgreens. I watched them do it. I got to Walgreens a few hrs later to give them time to fill it. They said they didn't have it but since they were closing I would have to have it sent across the island to another Walgreens. read more

Is it just me, or do you always have to wait for the Pharmacy to help you for what seems like forever? Even if no one is on line the wait is unbearable. And heaven forbid you go through the drive through. I've driven away numerous times because of the long wait. I appreciate the time and care it takes to distribute medications but maybe the staff should be increased to handle the influx of patients. read more

The PHARMACY has NO customer service! I've tried to speak with the store manager but he/she is never around! My most recent visit I waited 18 minutes at the drive throughand there was not a car in front of me! I asked why is the wait so long she ignored me and gave me the medication. I just left this Walgreen's having had another bad experience. Linda C wrote about the last experience just 4 days ago. This time I went to pick up a prescription at the drive through window. I rang bell, heard a phone ring, then after several rings I heard what sounded like static. After 5 minutes, seeing 3 workers talking together just on the other side of the window then each going different ways, not seeing anyone on line waiting inside for pick up, I rang the bell again. This time a person said someone would be with me in a minute. After 5 minutes 2 young workers were just one the other side of the window talking to each other. I motioned as best I could to ask if someone was going to help me. The young lady looked at me as if I had two heads. The young man finally walked over with more of a grin than a smile and simply said "sorry for the wait". I expressed my unhappiness, then after a couple versus the usual one id confirmation, I got my prescription. My final take on this, especially after the incident a few days ago, is that neither the employees nor management are concerned about quality service. had to call cardiologist as I ran out of a med he wants me to take, and his staff calls it in to Walgreens on Arthur Kill Road, Staten Island. She suggested that she would order a 30 day supply and then we would go with the mail order 90 day supply. So again, no worries.we decide to pick up prescription. Easy, right? Wrong...this is Staten Island customer service. we get there and I ask for my prescription after all, it is now 6:15 PM and was called in around 9:20 AM. Sweet girl tells me, no we did not do it because Express Scripts insisted on giving you a 90 day supply instead of the 30 day and that is not what your doctors' office called in. My question was, Why didn't you call either me or the doctor to let us know? This isn't exactly around the corner for us. She replied, "We don't make phone calls like that and besides why are you coming here , isn't there a Walgreen's closer to you? " Urge to smack her is rising in my head. But instead, I called the doctor's office, and was lucky they were still having office hours, and the amended prescription was made. I was told to sit and wait. A few minutes later, a man came in who had to pick up his wife's prescription came in and was told the prescription was not ready and Please Take A Seat And He Will Be Called When It Was Ready. He sat down and I recognized him as being an ex co-worker's husband. I knew I knew him from somewhere. Anyway, he tells us what happened to her (dentist story) and calls her and tells her he would pick up dinner when he was done there. He hands me the phone and her and I start talking. We hang up and the two men and I continue talking. About 5 minutes later, his phone is ringing, it is his wife, who told him her prescription is ready. We were laughing about how stupid, here he was told to take a seat, the woman behind the counter said it loud enough so even for my husband to have heard her, and they call his house. What if no one home and he still would have been there? LMAO After he left, I got up, fearing they would be calling my house to tell us my prescription was ready, and lo and behold, it was. If I didn't get up, we would have gotten a call that it was ready, too. Good customer service on Staten Island...NOT. read more

I submitted a poor review on March 12, 2019. I also submitted a complaint to Walgreens and have not received a response. My husband had root canal surgery yesterday. The dentist prescribed antibiotics as he has an artificial hear valve. It is imperative to undergo a regimen of antibiotics with any invasive dental work. The Dr. electronically submitted the prescription at approximately 2:30 pm yesterday. When my husband didn't receive a notice from Walgreens, he called the Arthur Kill location at approximately 9 pm. He was told there was an issue with "the profile". He was then told the prescription would be ready in approximately 15 minutes. When he went to pick up the medication he asked the male pharmacist why he wasn't called and what the problem was. He was told that they once again outsourced to Florida, and once again there was a problem with some information they had ,as opposed to what Walgreens on Arthur Kill had. However, until the time my husband called they weren't aware of it Once again it seems NOBODY at Walgreens is checking to see if there are any prescriptions sitting in the system from Florida, and NOBODY from Florida is contacting the store to inform them of any issues . Luckily, my husband and I are able to be responsible for our medications and are aware what has to be taken, etc. However, many "older" adults are not. If they didn't get a call from the pharmacy that the prescription was ready they may forget or think it wasn't necessary to take. What has to happen before corporate realizes this system is not working! You can get endocarditis, which can be fatal, from an infection after dental treatment if you have an artificial heart valve. This is becoming dangerous. Also, my husband waited almost 20 minutes before anyone attended to him. Finally, the pharmacist, who should be concentrating on preparing the medications was forced to wait on him. He told my husband they are very short staffed and this happens all the time. Next step may have to be reporting to Board of Health before someone dies due to their negligence. read more
