After the appointment, later that day, she was called and told that the insurance is out of network and that we would have to pay out of pocket. When asked why we were just notified of this after they took $100 from us, they insisted that we were already told beforehand. They refuse to refund the $100 and take responsibility for their shady practice of taking money and then telling people that they are out of network. The staff at this office has been the most rudest and unprofessional staff that I have ever encountered. They yelled at me on the phone and refused to listen to me. If you do not want to be scammed, do not go here! There are some shady practices going on there.

I sent this place an email with pictures of my face and told them that ever since my facial treatment here, I developed a terrible rash with pimples. They answered the following: 'Hello, This is Jessica from Skintology medspa. I did your facial when you were in our office. It looks like your skin may be having a bit of flareup from rosacea. The products that we use for facials are ZO skincare products which are medical grade.' ... like ok so what if medical grade products were used? They still caused an allergic reaction to my skin. I wasn't expecting to get my money back or anything but I was expecting at least an apology or something from the Med spa. Anyways, I ended up having to go to a dermatologist (another expense and time out of my day) and he said that it did look like a rosacea flare up from the skin care products that they used at the facial. I've been using a steroid cream that was prescribed to me by the dr (also another expense to buy the cream). The rash has not gone away and it's been well over a month. I don't know if at this point it will ever go away. I'm traumatized and I'm never going to get a facial ever again. I'm embarrassed to show my face; I used to have the clearest skin and now it's just a mess.

I washed them very clean about 10 times, wrapped them carefully & kept them overnight in the fridge for freshness. Last time, I asked Kern if I can bring him bones and she said I can bring him "ANYTHING." He was even playing with a BONE last time we were there! So I brought the bones for the dog and Kern did not even look at them, just flicked her hand & condescendingly said "NO NO! Don't give them to him. He's ALLERGIC." Told me to throw them away! She did NOT even say a simple thank you after how thoughtful I have been. I told her I was happy to bring bones for her dog and traveled a LONG way, transferred 2 times on subway while holding the bag of heavy 10 BIG BONES just for her dog. No idea it would turn out like this. Now I cannot trust medspas anymore. It is so sad that some people like Kern cannot truly understand and appreciate people's good hearts & intentions. Honest opinion, she needs to shut down her office and get treatment for her mental problems. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. Be careful of her! He knew things about my family, that I hadnt discussed with him myself, and for him to bring them up with lack of consideration for my feelings on our first meeting... It felt invasive, unprofessional, inappropriate, insensitive and out of bounds. I felt super uncomfortable, and violated and was shaking when I left. I haven't been back since the first visit. The office hours make it pretty hard to make appointments, and the behavior of the woman at the front desk is highly unpleasant - she was awfully rude whenever I inquired about refills on medication or to make appointments. I went once and never went back. Horrible, and traumatic experience.
