This is literally the worst pharmacy on earth. I have been on hold for the last 55 minutes now and EVERY 15 SECONDS the same message repeats on loop "We're sorry. Our staff is answering other calls. Please hold on and we'll be with you shortly." It is absolutely driving me insane. And the funny part? This local 718 number does NOT go to the store - this goes to the call center where you then have to tell them you want them to speak to the store. What is the point of having this number then? And the staff there? RUDE AF. They have sometimes 6-7 people working in the back, laughing and having a grand old time - meanwhile there is a line literally almost out the front door of the store. They move like snails and offer zero help but 100% sick attitude. I have had it. I am switching my pharmacy. Do not get your medicine sent here unless every other pharmacy on Staten Island has went out of business and/or you want to test your mental stability. read more

Everyone who works here is very nice but they are chronically understaffed, and if I can get out in 30 minutes, it's a good day.

Customer service is less than poor. This evening i spent half an hour waiting on the pull up window. I mentioned i was picking up meds for me and my daughter. The lady working the windows was so nasty making me wait and not acknowledging me. Then should up at the window and told me she inly has my daughters prescription and i have none. I showed her the email that stated my prescription was ready. She preceded to tell me it must have been canceled. I said by who, when? Its only three days! Then after looking on the system oh whats your birthday. Yes we do have them , they spelled your name wrong. So she proceeds to fill the drawer and upon opening the drawer it slams into my new car door and actually shaking the car. I look at her and she backs it off the car, i take my meds and she closes the door and leaves the window in a big hurry and doesn't even apologize. Time to find a new pharmacy. read more

Worst pharmacy. They notify you when prescription is ready or when there is an issue with insurance. I have the app, often will say medication is ready and I go to pick it up and have to wait 1/2 for them to fill it. Makes no sense. Whe. You call you get Walgreens but not the Walgreens where your script is and the. They have to transfer you and you wait on hold for 20 minutes. Prescriptions should not take over 8 hrs to process. read more

It was a simple situation and a simple question- she spoke to me and a family member (at different times/ocassions) as if we were ignorant, like we didn't understand her or English, when in fact, we were following instructions given by a Walgreens employee- pharmacist. This Walgreens store at 1551 Richmond Ave is the worst, the pharmacy manager was supposed to check my order that was delivered to me from FedEx. This happens to be the first time I did delivery service, I am a just disabled person and it's hard for me to get around. I got 1 out of my 2 prescriptions the nasal spray that I paid for was missing, I did not receive it at all. On Saturday, March 13th I called the store and was told the pharmacy manager would call me on Monday after she reviewed the tapes. At first it made me feel like I stole something but after thinking about that I'm fine, I am sure it happens to them all the time. I informed the young lady on Saturday please make sure she calls me on Monday so I can come and pick up my nasal spray that I paid $18 and change, my insurance paid for the rest. It is a prescription I just can't go buy it somewhere else and I've been dealing with this pharmacy for a long time. Monday I'm waiting for the phone call from the manager of the pharmacy to tell me to come and pick up my prescription the nasal spray. I get no phone call at all on Monday, Tuesday morning (today) I called the store again after being on hold for 30 minutes again the girl gets on the phone and tells me that the manager will review it today and get back to me on Wednesday. I'm out of the prescription nasal spray, this is absolutely ridiculous now I am out of my medication. I told the young lady on the phone to tell the pharmacist manager that I'm calling corporate customer service. I called customer service and I was on hold for 32 minutes no one ever picked up after hearing the recording every five seconds telling me how sorry they are instead of hiring more people to take care of upset customers. Obviously Walgreens has enough business and doesn't need anymore. I am now transferring all my prescriptions over to CVS which by the way Walgreen made a ton of money on my prescriptions every month. I do not blame the young ladies that answered the phone they were just relaying a message, however I do blame the pharmacy manager and corporate customer service. All they keep saying on the phone is that they are sorry. You know what, I'm tired of hearing that you're sorry try picking answering the phone call. I don't understand what happened, Walgreen's was the place to go for a great customer service now they are the WORST. Also instead of saying you're sorry try hiring more people I hear there's plenty of opportunities in the job market why don't you help out Wallgreen's instead of stealing my money. I would like the district manager for this location to call me or someone from corporate because I'm not going to sit on the phone like an idiot. read more

This store has a continual problem. The drive through window will allow a customer to wait at the window for more than 25 minutes while more than a few cars wait. This has happened to me personally at least ten times. Inside is no better. The line often moves very slowly. It is obvious that the store is mismanaged or Walgreens Corporate offices do not support customer service. Try reach them on the phone, and you will become extremely frustrated by the wait times. Overall, this Walgreen is abusing their customers. One positive thing though, when you finally talk someone at the store behind the window or pharmacy counter, they are courteous and nice. I'm a fan of Walgreens! This isn't the best Walgreens in the bunch but its definitely Ok in my book. It seems slightly smaller than other local walgreens' but this location is stocked just like any other. The employees are alright, store stays well maintained and stocked but It is a little crapmed. In general Walgreens is great for a few things especially random food stuffs or personal care items but do be careful because you could easily spend $50 on things that aren't all the necessary. Worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with!! The pharmacists are very nasty and unprofessional! I am a cancer patient and they speak to me like I am a drug addict because of my pain medication. My Dr sends my scripts a week early to ensure they are recieved and in stock for the pick up date. They don't even bother checking. They stick them in a file then on the pick up date tell you they are out of stock when in fact they had a week to order them. They have no empathy or compassion for people that are sick with chronic illnesses and pain. Why Emblem Health dropped CVS instead of Walgreens I dont understand. CVS is so much better in my opinion. Variety is the spice of life. Never thought I'd use this saying when referring to a pharmacy. Seriously, you have your Duane Reade, your CVS, your Rite Aid, and your Walgreen's. If you don't like this Walgreen's you can go a few blocks to a different Walgreen's. So, if you're reading this review right after reading my Dunkin Donuts review you can make a fair assessment that Staten Island consists mainly of drug stores and coffee shops. Anyway, I prefer Walgreen's over the other pharmacies because it's big and organized. However, there is always a line at this particular location even when there are only a few people in the store. Doesn't bode well for a person like me with zero patience. read more

A very convenient drugstore in my neighborhood. It's open 24hrs a day 7 days a week. The employees and managers are nice. The pharmacy employees have an attitude and aren't helpful. So I no longer take my pharmacy busy to them. read more

The Pharmaceutical Department is horrible! The employees are great, but they are obviously understaffed.

Their products are as any other walgreens and is pretty much your basic walgreens. The staff is pretty rude and if you don't have English as your first language they seem to look down upon and talk to like your five. A lot of attitude if I ask questions they seem to get frustrated with me. Not doing that any more being that it results in wasting time because my questions are never answered. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would . The pharmacy workers there including the Tall girl with the very long braids AND the pharmacy manager are very very unprofessional . They made me cancel my delivery order for my daughters meds and said my card wasn't valid . Meanwhile - I had pending charges on my bank statement from Walgreens store number 06179 . I redid my card info and they said it still didn't go through . I asked them to redo the prescription and I was forced to take a cab there to pick up the meds . Sure enough I arrive within ten minutes of them calling me and the dam FED EX truck was THERE . Which meant that the girl who was in charge of the medicine that goes out for fed ex called me and LIED about my credit card saying it wasn't valid - that I had to redo it - so she didn't have to process the shipment n send it out with the fed ex truck . She's messing with peoples medicines , including my 16 year olds meds , which is UNACCEPTABLE . I met an older man named Irving who had similar problems and he gave me the number to a woman named Robin who is supposedly a district manager but when I called it says all circuits are busy . Then he said to call the Walgreens on manor road and ask to speak to a guy named Brian . I called and left a message with my phone number . In the meantime I'm leaving this review with the hope that someone sees it and helps me . This woman at Walgreens needs tk stop Messi g around with the deliveries of people and children's medicine . The pharmacist here are great and informative. Ive called them in the middle of the night to ask about medications I use. They have drive thru service as well but it takes them forever to get to you. The store is organized and always clean. I always get my necessities here from packaging material to shampoo. This walgreens is conveniently located near my house and the CSI campus. read more

The perk is it's 24 hours, but if you come here any time other than 2 am, expect a wait and attitude. Barbara is the most unprofessional and rude employee in this store. She clearly hasn't heard of the hippa act because she feels the need to shout out patients prescriptions, allergies, controlled substance etc. Her excuse was she was having a bad day. This is not the first time she has said that, she needs to be moved to a store with less volume. there is always a wait when you get to the register due to prescriptions not being done. The auto refill clearly doesn't work. It tells you it's ready yet it never is. After a 40 minute line wait, 20 minutes to have my script filled and waiting for someone to ring me up 1.10 minutes had gone by and I was still missing one of my prescriptions. Perhaps if the constant bickering with patients ends the work would get done. I understand customer service is not for everyone. Michael was the only helpful one. Other than him stepping up and helping it was an awful experience. I live up the block and would rather drive further. read more

The store is great but the pharmacy sucks. You put your prescription in the automated system and notice that they never call you to pick up your medicine. You call to speak someone live and they said they never received your call regarding the prescription. This is the 3rd time it happened. Place is open 24/7 no matter what ! Great people there too. I wouldn't pay to much attention to one star reviews such as from Sabrina S. I mean, if you have a shite camera and photographer ur gonna get crap photos. She is probably still developing 35 millimeter film. I adore this store. The only 24 hour Walgreens on Staten Island and it is down the block from me. Everyone is helpful, there may be 1 or 2 sour apples but I've only encountered them once each. The night manager and day manager are the best. Always helpful. I go there for EVERYTHING, and never get weird looks from the counter staff. I hope this location stays forever read more
