Ordered medicine I was told would be delivered within a couple hours. Next day 2pm and still no delivery. Since I had a doctors appointment nearby, I decided to go and pick them up myself. The pharmacy tech gave me attitude because they're ready to be picked up by a courier! I said "Yes. That was the plan but NO ONE has delivered them! They were supposed to be delivered last night. Can I just pick them up myself now?" She was upset she had to cancel the delivery order. Made me feel like it was MY FAULT that they didn't deliver it?!? What is going on? How about you deliver things when you say they will be delivered and I won't have to go do their job? Everyone there is ALWAYS MAD AND GRUMPY! Does anyone know how to smile anymore? Very disappointed that their service continues to be so bad. May have to switch to another pharmacy. read more

Oh boy, I have a love/hate relationship with Walgreens in general, but sadly it's because of this location I decided to transfer my medications elsewhere. I had been a customer of this particular location from 2020-2023, but there was only so much I could take for my health and well being. This location has consistently: Delayed my needed medication due to being out of stock, been rude when I have called to inquire about my medicine, or completely cancelled because of "supply issues". If they were going to cancel it, the least they could have done was inform me so I could get my needed medicine elsewhere. I just find it unacceptable the level of "customer service" I have received as a long time customer. In the past 6 months since switching, I haven't had an issue with my new pharmacy once. read more

I'm done wasting my time with the Walgreens in St. Charles on Main Street. The people ,except for a few, are rude, angry, and not knowledgeable. It has become a dangerous place to depend on for your health and medical prescriptions. No surprise that the Walgreens stock has plummeted and is one of the worst performing stocks in this country. We have supported our local businesses for decades, but I think we would all be better off if it disappeared. With the exception of a few, very few, this is a collection of unhappy, rude and ignorant people, and I'm referring mainly to the pharmacy and some of the people, including the management in the main store. Sorry to leave such a bad review, but I think it's important for people considering going to Walgreens in general. I have left very few negative reviews in my life and it pains me, but the level of service and rudeness is unacceptable. There have been so many instances that I've lost count. If I could give this pharmacy zero stars I would unfortunately not an option I have been going to this pharmacy 20 years this review is not directed at the 2 original gals that have been their throughout the years I'm sure their just biding their time for retirement. Not only is the second drive thru broken off and on off, your on hold forever my Doc increased one of my meds 3 days ago I was supposed to start taking the increased today for the last 3 days I was told it will be in by 2 pm called yesterday waited forever on hold the tech was rude said it may be in tomorrow it might not be in there central warehouse processing is a joke we as consumers pay up the Yang Yang for our meds and being treated this way is a travesty I pray this doesn't happens to a customer that needs something like a heart med then they will get sued! read more

We all know tempers run high in the pandemic and I'm willing to cut a lot of slack to anyone. However today I called this pharmacy for a refill and the woman told me I couldn't refill it on the phone as I've done every month for a couple of years. I questioned this since I'd just done it last month. She then said, "You're a (B word)" and hung up on me. Seriously. So I called to talked to the store manager who apologized profusely and said it was totally unacceptable (which it is). Haven't most of us done customer service in our lives? I said that it seemed like this was a coaching opportunity and that she should get more training. I wasn't calling to get her fired, but to tell them they have a problem. I'm one thing, but I don't want her to do this to some little old lady. The manager said she would call me later. No call. I will update if I get a response. Worst, worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Numerous times they have made errors on my prescriptions, giving me old ones with the wrong dosage, automatic refill is not on time and when you call you're on hold, I understand that, but then after waiting, they disconnect you I've now changed to Cost Plus Drugs. This west side Walgreens is consistently the slowest pharmacy I have ever dealt with. They consistently partial fill a prescription ordered every 90 days but can never seem to fully fill it causing extra trips back. Good luck getting someone to come to the drive-thru window or inside counter in a timely manner. read more

Terrible. I usually use CVS for my pharmacy- definitely should not tried this Walgreens. I waited 50 minutes to get one simple prescription. CVS always has within 5 minutes. When I went to ask status, I got attitude from staff. Terrible service when feeling sick. Furthermore, I used their Advocate Car minus clinic. More concerned about trying to sell you products to purchase over the counter then actually diagnosing you. read more

I stopped using this pharmacy a few years ago. Back then the lead pharmacist - a man named John I believe was really great . As he seems to be there less and less - things really went downhill . Refilling prescriptions I hadn't asked to be filled, losing orders. shorting me on medications by the number of day filled early (I refilled day 28 so they would short me 3 days even though this is a respectable refill time / day 28/30. The new woman pharmacist began to play Dr questioning my prescriptions and why I was taking certain ones. So I stopped using them . Long story short - My Dr (last week) sent a prescription order to them by error- right before going on vacation. He just made a mistake - he usually calls this prescription into Jewel Osco (never ever have a problem with Jewel). Since he was on vacation - I was stuck with this dreaded Walgreens. The medication was written on a Thursday with directions not to fill it until the following Monday. I called Walgreens 2 times the Thursday the prescription was sent electronically to Walgreens. They pleasantly reassured me all would be well and the prescription would be filled on Monday. Even sent me a text to show they had received the order Come Monday when my husband stops to pick up the prescription ....lo and behold they have no record of it in their system . They do not believe me when I call and tell them that I'd been reassured twice that my prescription would be filled Monday. Basically calling me a liar and telling me they'd MAYBE have a chance to look into things later Monday night or Tuesday. My poor husband is there trying to get them to fill my prescription that Is asked him to pick up for me. Then, I thankfully recalled I had evidence that they had received the prescription - based on the automatic text they sent me. So only at that point did they begin to realize they were wrong . Sadly they were searching through all prescriptions sent to them last Thursday . And sadly still no record . This is a medication that only very few Drs in the USA can prescribe and my Dr was away on vacation. It is also a medication that I would have become deathly ill within a couple of days of not having it to take. I explained this to the pharmacist and was told to just 'go to the hospital then'. No compassion and no empathy or caring . Thankfully I remained calm and called the Dr on call at my usually family practice - they were able to contact my Dr who was away on vacation and the prescription was called into Jewel Osco. It was ready within 20 minutes and easily picked up. Thank goodness a- so much relief. My husband heard the pharmacist at Walgreens (or someone on that staff ) talking about how they must have accidentally deleted my prescription from their system . I called to point out to them how this wasn't good business. I was not angry or rude . As soon as I mentioned the erroneous prescription deleting on their part- the pharmacist attempted to blame it all on me . I politely told her there was no need to blame it on me or to defend their error. I'm just the patient - I have no control over what happens to my prescription after my Dr. sends the order to the pharmacy. So Walgreens messed up , deleted my prescription, refused to believe me (until they saw the text that proved they'd received the order). Anyone can make a mistake but they didn't care that I could have ended up easily in the hospital because of their mistake, they tried to blame their mistake on me (I haven't a clue what their logic was there), and defended their mess up instead of apologizing to me and my husband . I'd highly recommend avoiding this pharmacy . Like I started out saying - I stopped using them years back. My Dr was getting used to a new computer system and accidentally sent it here versus the usual Osco Drug Pharmacy we use . And once again such an upsetting and horrible experience . I'm sure that some people on staff here are nice to work with . But many are not. My husband described them as rude to him and unpleasant and he is an easy going guy . Use them if you must - but beware because they are unorganized and unprofessional and can not be relied on . read more

East Side by sweet tomatoes I meet the friendllyest associate there. Lizzie or Lizzy I cant remember the spelling. But she was maybe 19/20 years old and was the most energetic happy helpful person working at a drug store. I had a question on how many items you had to buy to get the red first aid kit free and she was so happyh go lucky to answer my questions. In april I cut my finger at the deli I worked at and I swear this place was my home away from home. I went there for gauze pads, saline spray, finger tubing, tape. I just about bought them all out. I had someone explain to me the difference of cloth and paper tape and when it was evident I didn't understand the associate even opend the packacges for me so I could finallyh get what she was saying. I feel bad that she tried ten different ways and was prolly thinking this person is an idiot. She however was still polite to me. If I need a drink or Im buying diapers for my friends baby I always find what I need. I love that they sell East hs apperal even tho I don't go there anymore it still makes it feel like a community connection. I don't know of a time when I was displeased there. They have all I need and if not I make do with what they have. read more

I genuinely hate writing bad reviews, but after my experience today I feel like I have no other choice. The pharmacist/tech at the drive through today was so incredibly rude to me for no good reason. It was my first time refilling a prescription on my own- as my psychiatrist normally calls it in for me. I went through the online refill process and had received confirmation that my order was ready. The pharmacist/tech I spoke to made me feel stupid and spoke to me extremely condescendingly for not knowing I needed to call it in instead of doing an online refill for the type of medication it was. (Okay, that's fine.. but how was I supposed to know that? and why is she so rude about it?) She was quite honestly downright MEAN to me- and I genuinely felt judgement for being on the medication I was picking up by the way she called it by the generic term instead of the RX name with disgust in her voice. I was extremely nice, kind, and okay with having to call in my prescription instead of doing it online.. so I'm not sure why she had to speak to me the way she did. It was such a bad experience that when I drove away I was feeling incredibly anxious and bad about myself. It felt completely undeserving, and as someone who works retail I understand first hand that being patient and kind to workers goes a long way- however it didn't at all in this case. read more

OMG back again and even worse today. I drop off 2 Rx this afternoon, I ask will they be ready by 6 - sure she says. I said please check that you have the meds before I leave - well they only have generics - I NEVER want a generic - so she says, one will be ready at 6 and 1 on Monday. I go in at 6 and they have filled one with 3 genric pills for the Rx that I specified NO GENERIC and the other is not filled at all and now 5 hrs later they only have 68 of 90 pills. I wonder is this a scam by Walgreens to fill partial Rx to get you into the store twice? The cost of the 2 bottles, labels and pharmacists time vs customers buying other products they make moeny on??? To me, it is a waste of my time and gas to return and return and return. West siiide...Walgreens, that is. This Walgreens is located on the faaar west side of STC, at Peck Rd and Rt 64. Although the parking lot sucks and usually seems really busy, there are never long lines and the staff is always attentive. I blame the ridic parking lot on Redbox(es), there are two conveniently located outside. I do, however, like this location because it's approximately a stone's throw from my house. What brought me in to this location today? After searching high and low (read: every Walgreens besides the one in closest proximity to my house), I was praying for a miracle in that they still had Wet'n'Wild's holiday baked palette in "Baked, Not Fried". Wet'n'Wild? Yeah...that's right. I'm kiiinda a cosmetics junkie, and while I usually turn my nose up at drugstore finds...W'n'W throws down and their products are cult favorites amongst those in the beauty world #myworld Anywhooo, after going to 5 locations, I found this little gem tucked away in a hidden spot, where there was only one other of it's kind. I briefly considered buying both, but quickly silenced my inner hoarder and took my purchase to the counter in cosmetics. The girl that checked me out was friendly, quick and even offered up a $1 off coupon. That's right-- $4 for 6 baked eye shadows (and a mini eyeliner I'll prob never use) of great quality. That's why I heart Walgreens, they always have amazing sales on W'n'W and the prices are so dirt cheap, I don't feel as bad dropping major $$$ at Sephora n MAC. read more

Agnes the front checker was polite and courteous, though the team behind her was lacking, she paged 3 times in 8 minutes with a line of 6 customers deep for an IC3 which in Walgreens speak is another cashier; it took 8 minutes to get another checker. Kudos on being open, but have the employee support to quickly serve the consumer. read more

Never had prescriptions ready in a reasonable amount of time. Had to give them my childrens' insurance info over and over (we are all on the same insurance)! Switched to Meijer, have never had a problem, even though it's less convenient to get to. read more

10/2018 - Beware of the clinic! I was charged $331 for a visit due to a sinus infection that I told the nurse I had and needed a prescription for. They also will not give you a receipt because now it is billed directly through Advocate I was told. Surprise, you will not know what your charges are until you receive a bill in the mail. I called the billing department and they can't help. Billing transferred me to the supervisor, no call back. Not sure how they work it if you are paying cash but please check first. I have gone to the Walgreens clinic (Peck Rd) many years, many times prior to it becoming Advocate Walgreens Clinic. The charge then ranged $89-$140 depending on if there were any additional test given. I asked the clinic what they charge now. I was told $189 for an office visit...what was my visit? Why was I charged $331? I had no test, no flu shot and told the nurse what my problem was. She checked my nose, ears and listen to my breathing and prescribed an antibiotic. Just a normal office visit right? For this visit that took less than 5 minutes, I was charged $331 for what they call an "IN-DEPTH VIST" plus it was noted that I was a new client!! I've been going there for years, have seen this nurse practitioner many times before and I watched the woman who checks patience in (who I've seen every visit) pull me up on their computer? If I was new, I wouldn't have pulled up in their computer. Outraged, to say the least. Think twice and make sure that you can afford this office/clinic visit before going. As usual, it is very hard to fight medical, insurance over billing you but if you are aware before you go, you have a choice. read more

The photo department was a huge disappointment. I had ordered 130+ pictures to be developed for my father-in-law's wake and when I arrived over an hour after my pick up time, not one picture had been developed. I had spent 2 days scanning old photos and I had nothing to show at the wake. When I asked why they were not ready, the photo employee said their system was down. I asked him why he didn't call me to let me know so I could have them printed elsewhere and his response was,"I have 3 other phone calls to make and you were on my list." This was devastating as I did not have any photos to present at the wake or to his grieving widow. The store manager contacted me to apologize after the wake and left me a message stating the photos were there and ready to pick up, as if that would make everything better. I told him how upsetting the situation was and all he offered was the prints for free. I am so disappointed in the way this was handled that I will NEVER bring photos here again. read more
