I visited Inluro for a girls' night and overall had a really nice experience. When I first walked…read morein, the place smelled amazing. The space is open, cozy, and beautifully set up with candles, scents, and other products along one wall, plus a large bar area where all the candle-making happens. Once I found my friends, we were greeted right away and started our session. We began by choosing our scents. My friend asked a few questions about scent profiles & while the staff member helping us was friendly, the guidance was a little limited. She mostly encouraged us to "explore and figure out what you like first," which was totally fine, but I think my friend was looking for a bit more direction. There are tons of scents to choose from, though I did notice a few had a slightly chemical note under the main fragrance. I ended up choosing vanilla bean, cinnamon and vanilla, and snickerdoodle, and the mix turned out perfect. After picking our scents, we chose our candle holders. They had a good variety, but the cuter ones all had the store logo printed on them, which I personally found a little tacky, so I went with one without the branding. At the bar, our instructor walked us through the process of slowly mixing our scents and smelling as we went. Following her advice really helped because my candle turned out beautifully and exactly how I imagined. After pouring the oils and stirring for a few minutes, we were done. Compared to another candle-making class I've taken, this experience was much quicker and less detailed, so if you're looking for something deeply involved, this might feel pretty simple. But if you want a cute, quick activity and a nice candle to take home, it's perfect.

When we stopped in they were doing an Easter egg hunt where children could find one egg each and it had little treats in it, and my daughter was delighted to find her very first easter egg and get a little ring and piece of chocolate. No, it's not on 63rd Street--that's an homage to when the owner first made soap as a girl whilst living in Chicago. But of course though they have cute little events going on here, they also have some nice products. Lots of hand soaps, handmade, with varying scent profiles. They have other bath and body products like bath bombs, lotions, oils, and so on. They also have some accessories--I bought another headband for facials and they had some sponges and the like. I also heard her telling another customer that they offer classes, though I'm not sure if it's for soap making or one of the other products here, but definitely something to check out for something different to do.

You can buy candles anywhere and probably for less money, but you can't get the experience you get when you walk through the front doors of a YCC and hear a voice welcome you almost immediately. At the same time all those wonderful fragrances are enticing you to step further in and to pick up one of the new scents on the front table to smell or bop over to the table with some of the older fragrances. The absolute best part of this visit though was the sales person! This store could not have hired a better lady for this job, she had it all; personality, knowledge about the product and patience. Cam short for Camille thankfully liked many of the same scents as I do, so she knew right away NOT to take me to the sweet food fragrance; even though she did ask if they were something I would be interested in. She asked about scents I liked and then showed me several scents she really liked that were kind of similar but yet very different. Cam also showed me and yes, sold me the new Gel Fragrance Warmers with many of the gels in my favorite old and now new scents as well as the candles I originally was coming for. I could go on and on, but if you are looking for a great store to shop in and a fun and outstanding person to help you; check out Yankee Candle at Geneva Commons in Geneva Illinois and look for Cam, but I do have to say the other two ladies that were there were also really super nice and supportive.
