Hello yelp. Walked into Walgreens near UNR for a few hair supplies. Not very clean and unfriendly. I walked down from "Hot August Nights" car show with my son. While I was preparing to pay my son asked Jeremy the Manager where the restroom was. Not really looking up, his reply was," in the back corner". (If you have ever gone in Walgreens, you know their are mirrors on the back wall, and I saw my son going in the wrong direction.. needless to say the store manager in a very nonchalant, lackadaisical manner and not realizing my son was with an adult, provided less than standard level of customer service! Honestly, it's really nice to have a drive-thru pharmacy specially when you have little ones to tag along. Staff here are nice and approachable. Never had a problem with any of our prescriptions even when I went inside to pick up. They still follow social distancing inside the pharmacy section. With Walgreens, you can download their app and select your choice of pick up or have it delivered to your home for free. And you can get a reminder through text message as well if your prescription is ready to be filled or if there's any issues with refilling. read more

By far the worst experience I have ever had picking up my prescription. This was the first time filling my prescription at this location, the lady could not figure out how to put my insurance card in the system, and then proceeded to get angry at me because "it wasn't working" and that I had the "wrong insurance card". I have never been treated so poorly, for something that wasn't even my fault. I have used my insurance card to fill this prescription before multiple times and it worked just fine. I suggest training your staff better with customer service, anger management, and on how to read insurance cards. So unprofessional. read more

I came in to drop-off a package to be shipped. I don't have a printer. So, I decided to print out the Shipping label via photo service. Went back after doing some errands. Delma, assisted me to get the printed shipping label photo. She went the extra mile and tape it for me instead of me buying it at their store, which I didn't mind at all. Went to this pharmacy after a bad experience at WalMart. Super friendly staff and had my profile entered and 1st prescription filled within 15 minutes or so. I had coupons to use from GoodRx and that process was super easy. Wasn't sure if I would be better using my insurance or a coupon and the consult was super friendly and she took her time checking prices and options for me. The pharmacist on duty took time to tell me about the medication and answer the questions I had. I didn't feel rushed at all talking to her and really appreciate the time and care! read more

I have been a customer since this location opened. I used to love this store. I have chronic pain bone on bone in both knees. Walking is difficult, as is balance because of the pain, but I am trying to stay on my feet. As it has gotten worse, I ask the person with me to go in and get a shopping cart so I can get from my car into the store with the cart to lean on. It has never been a problem until today when i asked my dsughter to go in and bring me a shopping cart. She was told she couldn't. She went in twice to ask. It was taking awhile for her to return, so finally I got out of the car and by bracing myself successively on the fender, the pillar, and the trash enclosure outside the front door, I was almost inside when an employee came out and asked if I needed help. I replied yes, and he took my hand, and walked me in, for which kindness I was thankful. WALGREENS has installed tall poles on the carts, so that they no longer fit through the door and cannot be taken outside, not a customer friendly solution. It used to be that the wheels on the carts would lock up if the customer attempted to remove them a certain distance from the store. Now if one has a cart full of purchases, it is necessary to carry them out by hand, and people in my situation take the risk of a fall getting into the store. I am going to have to shop elsewhere after years of shopping at this store. There are some great employees here, but Walgreens besides jacking their prices up regularly has no consideration for their customers, especially those of us who are mobility challenged. read more

Walgreens' pharmacy staff struggles to provide vaccinations on time. My wife and I both (on separate occasions) waited for over a half hour after our appointment time to get our shots. That's bad enough, but they couldn't be courteous enough to let us know it would take a while and when I finally got a pharmacist's (white coat) attention she gave sarcastic/rude answer. We have used other Walgreens locations and not had this problem. If you have a choice go somewhere else. read more

I tried to get in touch with the pharmacy, on Oddie Blvd, in Sparks, Nevada, after 20 hopeful minute on hold with no one picking up the phone to at least acknowledge me, I called the store, I asked for the store manager and got a employee that said she couldn't help me to just call the pharmacy again, at that point I asked again for the store manager, who had me call the pharmacy as he walked over to tell them to answer the phone. I talked to a male employee that said they get to busy to answer the phone, he was very nice but if your not going help me, at least pick up the phone and ask me to call back. Terrible customer service...I know businesses are short handed and I understand it's hard, but at least acknowledge me and have me call back, those 20 minutes were a total waste of my time. read more

This walgreens unbelievably has no customer service. The lady that said she was the manager did not want to do her job. Here's why. I came in to return some products my boyfriend had bought by mistake. He bought me shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that I cannot use. I have blonde hair so I'm picky. I need the purple kind. So anyways he bought it at a different store and this is where I was trying to return it. I brought it in with my receipt was being helped by a older lady. She tried scanning it, it didnt scan. Then she entered it manually but bcuz she couldnt read the numbers she couldnt pull up my receipt. I told her the numbers are also at the bottom of the receipt but bcuz a long line was forming she called over this manager chick with long blonde hair to help. She didnt even wanna try entering it into the system. She just flat out said no. First of all the receipt is eligible due to the printer not printing right. So I call corporate. They said it would be looked into but that would be a managers decision weather shed do the return or not. So I let her know what they said and by this time I know shes not gonna do it bcuz shed look dumb if she did after all that bull shit she was talking. But she did say I'd give u store credit. Store credit TF r u kidding me. First of all I'm not from here so no im not going back to that store who knows where the hell it was and also I'm not driving. I walked here from my hotel. In Las Vegas walgreens is my go to spot. I love it. I never once had a problem like this. Also why would a regular employee be able to do it but u cant? R u telling me your employee has an override more than u? And if not who's training her? Bcuz obviously they showed her how to do a return like this. If this B.... dont want to help customers with what shes paid to do she needs to find another hobby. 5 yelp* stars??? Absolutely YES!!! I drove all over Reno and Sparks looking for a pharmacy that was open at 10:00 at night. I yelp*ed for CVS, and there was supposed to be one a hop, skip, and jump away from where I was at yesterday evening. It wasn't. I drove to one CVS near Lakeside (?) but that was closed. So.... I drove allllllllllll along Kietzke just trying to find a place where I could buy achy, fever, stuffy nose, and sore throat medicine for myself and my 5 year old. I ended up in Sparks at this very Walgreens. Thank you for being open 24 hours!!! Thank you for having the medicine that my son and I needed!!! It sucks that I had to drive freekin' all over Reno and Sparks to find this place (really though... *nothing* was available or open... Grrrrrrr!!!!). Oh, the employee I ran into in the medicine aisle wasn't all too helpful, but he was totally cool about things and very honest about what he knew and didn't know. I had phoned in a prescription and when I pick up and took it home I realized they had giving me the wrong one. It was one that I had previously filed. The doctor had changed it and I had filled that before. When I called down there they told me that a had to reorder it and they would have to call the doctor to approve it. The next day they called and told me I could come pick it up. When I got there they told me that I would have to pay for it again. They made the mistake and this was not the first time they had done this. The manager tried to blame it on me and gave me a in store credit for $10.00. That's about $5.00 short and I don't shop there. The customer service here is absolutely terrible. They need some training on how to treat a customer. They ripped me off for $14.88. read more

My experience with this walgreens was not good , when I dropped of my film the customer service was horrible , no acknowledgement , no greeting , no be right with you .. When I picked up my pictures today the manager helped me , I was extremely dissapointed to find that I paid $34 for 2 rolls of film that had no pictures , one whole role was either blacked out or was so disfigured I couldn't even tell what they were , the other roll had more visible pictures which was better but paying that much money for not even half the photos is ridiculous .. Now it seems as if they are short handed but also the majority of staff are so rude. It seems like every month is a new hassle or so other lame excuse of why they didn't have stuff ready or why it's in hold etc. now at first I thought it was just normal stuff but it's been happening for many months now! Soooo I switched Walgreens and guess what?! No issues. I disclosed what was going on to the new location and they encouraged me to call Walgreens go to yelp and talk to the pharmacy board. Stay far, far away. I've had to go here with a friend a couple of times, and they always seem like they have better things to do than help their customers. Pharmacy has lost prescriptions, and claimed they had been picked up when they haven't. Store tends to be dirty, unlike most of the other Walgreens around. Oh, and they keep their bathroom locked, and you have to wait until they get around to letting you in. I am not in fifth grade and can decide for myself when I need to go. This is the only Walgreens I've seen that is like this. Isn't a drug store all about making people healthy? It's not healthy to make someone do the pee-pee dance before finally giving up and going into the Jack in the Box next door. Bottom line: There are much, much better drug stores in town that don't have initials for their names. We love the Walgreens on Vista (review of that one coming): go there if you are in Sparks. Was sick as a dog this weekend and Walgreens took care of me. I hate being sick and especially hate spending money of drugs to get better. Couldn't sleep felt congested and my throat would not stop hurting. Went here late at night to get as much over the counter drugs I could buy to make this sickness more manageable. Was in and out in 15 minutes. I picked up throat lozenges, some flu medicine, and even a humidifier. Wasn't cheap but wasn't crazy expensive either.
