And then sent my prescription out. She did not ask if I had any questions or if the prescription was even correct. That could be dangerous... not a have a nice day either, she just walked away. Very bad experience, Walgreens needs to hire nicer and more professional pharmacists. It doesn't take that much more effort to be friendly. read more

Not perfect (nothing is), but great. They made two mistakes on my prescription about two years ago (once giving me the wrong persons prescription and once giving me only a fraction of the quantity I was prescribed). I was more frustrated with getting the wrong prescription because it was serious medicine that would have messed me up had I taken it. I also had some prior issue with the tech who made that mistake because she was very stoic. Like I would tell her to have a good day at the end of the transaction and she would just stare back and say nothing. She was just as stoic when I returned the other persons medicine to get mine. She did not apologize or act apologetic. The time they gave me the incorrect quantity, the pharmacist reviewed the video, realized her mistake, and apologized repeatedly. I think she was the only pharmacist working at that location at the time and was beyond capacity. She handled it very well, so it was no problem. The pharmacists are generally matter-of-fact when discussing prescriptions over the drive through speaker, but that is completely understandable. They do seem to genuinely care though. Every time I have called to check on a prescription they have also been polite and helpful. When I go inside to the retail area the clerks are also always nice and polite. Lately there has been one lady who always works the drive through who is always exceptionally nice and efficient. Even the other evening there were six cars in line near closing time and she was super nice and had a good composure. I keep trying to get her name via a name tag or something so I can give her props in my review, but I have not figured it out and asking would be awkward (as if I was going to make a complaint or something). Overall I am satisfied with this location. I know they are super busy, but they manage it well. read more

Jacob the pharmacist is the best. My medications weren't covered by insurance so he went through EVERY one and saved me over $200 in coupons. He went so above and beyond for me. Thank you Jacob & thank you Walgreens for hiring such a caring and empathetic pharmacist. read more

I hate to pile on the plethora of horrible reviews.... Wait...never mind, I don't. The pharmacy here is absolutely terrible (the rest of the store...whatever...Walgreens is Walgreens). Let me put it this way, we recently moved our Rxs to HEB and are MUCH happier! First experience: pulled up behind a car and waited over ten minutes. Left. Drove down to pick up a few things from HEB intending to come back. The trip took about 15/20 minutes, and when I went back, the SAME CAR was still waiting. Refused to wait again. Another experience: tried to pick up a rx for my wife, but could barely understand the tech. I drove away thinking the rx wasn't ready, which in fact, it was. Just seems the tech was ....misinformed (desperately trying to be nice). Yet another experience: scheduled a time for my Covid booster. Felt bad because I ran about 15 min late. I sat for OVER AN HOUR after I arrived still waiting for my appointment. Lastly, and probably the most troubling. Our Rx for our 10mo old daughter was mishandled. We should have had enough for ten days, but we ran out after about six. Upon a call to the pharmacy, we found out the liquid was mid-measured and the ratio was improperly mixed. Needless to say, we were alarmed about possible negative side effects of over-dosing /mis-dosing our baby. The pharmacy said they would do an "investigation", but we never heard back. Take your Rxs just down the street to HEB...trust me... you'll be so much happier. read more

Absolutely horrible. Some pharmacy Tech not even the real pharmacist couldn't give me my medication I know for an actual fact my doctor called in for. This is not the first time I've had an absolute nightmare of an experience. The pharmacy techs here are the absolute worse. There is one nice guy that's very helpful but all the lady pharmacy assistants are terrible. Update: After having my doctor call them again to make sure my medication could be fulfilled. I get down & I see the pharmacy assistant leaving and the pharmacy closed right after my doctor called to make sure I could get my meds. I had to come to CVS where they're helpful, friendly and patient. The pharm tech's name starts with a M and she's a brunette. Not nice or in the slightest bit helpful. Would avoid at all costs. read more

The worst experience I've had with a pharmacy. After waiting over 30 minutes, they put the "We're closed" sign up on us. I'm appalled. They got my prescriptions wrong several times, and now I can't even be helped? Also saw them give the wrong prescriptions to other people waiting. So now I'm sitting here in tears and in pain. The pharmacy is horrible. If you have another choice, go there. They don't care about customer service at all, you wait forever and there is no order or system of how they do things so you could be waiting 15 min and then they help someone at another window that just walked up. The people are nice enough but the pharmacy service is poor due to understaffing and operations set by corporate. Its not just this Walgreens. Its pretty much like this everywhere in their chain. Walgreens in general is the worst pharmacy I've ever used. We used to use cvs which I never had a problem with, but my employer cut them out of our network. Walgreens is consistently SLOW. They have the most inefficient pharmacy. After 20 minutes of waiting in line behind 2 cars, I decided to write this review and am still behind one car. It's also significantly more ghetto than cvs. It's dirty and the people in the pharmacy have the worst customer service. If I could give it zero stars I would. I hate Walgreens read more

I come all the way over to this wal greens for my medications because of the pharmacy. They are the best and treat people great. I actually look forward to picking up my meds once a month. The pharmacist here at late afternoon going into evening is so nice and makes every customer feel special. She has the cutest accent too. Any ways. Best pharmacy I have been too. read more

Got to the counter and discovered I can only buy 2 of anything during this pandemic. I was buying 4 half gallon milks, 4 12-pack sodas and feminine products. The small cart was half filled. The manager saw the cart while waiting in line and said my milk limit was 2 but said nothing about the rest of the items. Then the cashier had to ask the manager what the limit was on each of my items. There obviously was a no policy in place or briefed to employees. There are no signs posted on the outside door or on the shelves. The staff apologized for no signs and I even volunteered to make one on the spot but that fell on deaf ears. I will honor any guidance but businesses need post it up front or tell customers before shopping to avoid frustrating customers. read more

This is a review for the Walgreens on Huebner and 1604, San Antonio, TX. Wife had an emergency prescription that cost $1200 out of pocket, and that insurance needed to preapprove before covering. Insurance suggested that I ask Walgreens if they'd let me pay out of pocket and get the prescription immediately, as my wife was in a lot of pain, and then rerun the purchase in a day or two - once the drug was preapproved, and then we'd get approximately a $900 refund from insurance. Barely got the words out of my mouth when the gal (whom I'm guessing ran the night shift) said no way. She wouldn't do it - no ifs, ands, or buts. This was 2 days before Christmas and $900 was not in our budget and my goal was to get the medicine immediately and hope to get a refund over the next couple of days. Refund or not, I was going to get the medicine that night. The Walgreens lady oozed "your problem not mine" and offered no real explanation of why she couldn't help out, as the insurance company requested. So I told her to transfer the prescription to CVS, and we will see if they can do it. Called CVS immediately and they said no problem - transferred the prescription and we did exactly as my insurance suggested, and my wife got her prescription that night, and the next day, we got the refund. CVS told me they do this on occasion and it's not a problem - even found me an additional $200 discount. What really chapped my hide, was that the lady at Walgreens took it upon herself to call my sick wife immediately after I left Walgreens and told her that I refused to pay for the prescription because of the cost - which upset my wife, as she hadn't heard the new plans from me yet. Everybody has bad days, I get that. But this appears to me to be her nature, bad day or not, and she probably shouldn't be working in a customer-related field. I would absolutely NOT recommend this Walgreens! read more

excellent place, but covid-19 took out all the soap. all i can say is that people actually need antibacterial soap, it won't do you any good, just wash your hands with regular soap. the old lady helping us out was extremely sweet. read more
