I recently went to Walgreens to have a prescription filled, and I felt it was important to share my experience. I take customer service very seriously, and during my visit I witnessed a challenging situation involving another customer. The individuals involved were very upset about a prescription issue. They were using inappropriate language and continued to pressure the staff to fill a narcotic prescription even though they did not have the proper insurance or documentation. The pharmacy employee assisting them, who I will refer to as Mr. Grant, handled the situation with a high level of professionalism. Despite the way the customers were behaving, he remained calm, respectful, and firm in following the proper procedures. Even when they became more aggressive and tried to intimidate him, he did not lose his composure or respond negatively. It is not easy to stay calm under that kind of pressure, but Mr. Grant showed exactly what good customer service should look like. He put safety, policy, and professionalism first without escalating the situation. I truly appreciate how he handled everything. This is the kind of service and integrity that deserves to be recognized. Thank you, Mr. Grant, for being a great example of professionalism. read more

If you need a prescription within a couple weeks - go elsewhere. They just can't seem to fill a prescription without taking 2 weeks - one we ordered was an antibiotic. We really miss the Walgreens that was closer but they closed it. They were always timely and professional. But this one is a nightmare. If I could give no stars, I would. read more

Walgreens - a shopping cart in a store - Drugstores Near Me - Salisbury, Maryland

I will first start out by saying the manager who worked on Sept 23, 2025 around 6pm (can't remember her name) was the best. The Pharmacy has been an absolute nightmare since I transferred there a few months ago! I called as soon as they opened and was on hold multiple times for 25 plus minutes without any answer. I called numerous times throughout the day until I finally asked that stupid automated operator to speak to the store manager. At this point, I was livid and on my way to the store. They were just ignoring calls completely the entire day! The manager took care of me in two seconds! As I was walking out, I overheard a phone call at the photo center, and the person in the other side of the line was having the same issue getting through. I said and you won't get through bc they are ignoring everyone's calls! Some people do not have a means for transportation and I find it ignorant that they purposely ignored customers. read more

I'm 89. I switched one Rx to Walgreens because my mail order pharmacy failed to send it on time. Now Walgreens is doing worse. I ordered a refill of a medication and received two texts and a phone call telling me that it was in and could be picked up that day. I waited a day. Temperature about 15 degrees. Drove to pharmacy. Drive-through closed. Went in and waited in line for about half-hour. Clerk then told me it wasn't ready. They could give me only a partial but that would take about an hour. Could not wait due to another appointment at our retirement community. Now today I get a text message and phone call both telling me that if I don't pick the Rx up by a certain date it will be cancelled. Their automated calling system is absolutely unreliable and a phone call to verify what the automated system says is likewise automated and it, too, is unreliable. Miserable system, Clerk was apologetic but it was not her fault. I guess that "Nobody" is responsible. This is the third time I have gone to pick up something after being told it was ready and then finding out it was not. I know--I am a slow learner but no longer trusting of this pharmacy. read more

I had to change locations in the same town because the store I used closed. This Walgreen's on South Salisbury Blvd. is like a different company altogether. Medicines are not ready when they say they will be, the store is dirty, overflowing trashcans, trash on the floor, no toilet paper in the bathroom so there is overflowing paper towels used as toilet paper (gross). They only had 10 pills of 180. That lasts me 5 days and because it is blood pressure medicine I will have to drive 40 miles in 5 days to try to get more. I just hope they have it. read more

This place has really gone downhill. They allow people to submit their prescriptions in drive-thru and stay there until they are filled. The drive-through line can be 6 to 7 cars deep. They need to tell them to get out of the drive-thru line. There are also employees with nasty attitudes and no customer service skills. Every now and then then you might have a pleasant experience, but here recently, those times are few and far between. This used to be the best pharmacy in town....wonder what changed! read more

Walgreens was never my first choice but due to insurance I must use this pharmacy. My opinion is stronger now than ever. On that note, I have never waited longer in my life for a prescription. I worry for those who need necessary medications from this location, as the service is extremely poor and slow. I do not understand the purpose in having an open drive-through if you clearly do not have the staff/resources to attend it. read more

Walgreens is my go to pharmacy for many years now. Also, a great place to run in and pick up the every day essentials. Plus, Walgreens has excellent prices on many, many products that I need. I LOVE the new rewards card!!! It keeps my prescriptions up to date, I have a variety of coupons I clip to my rewards card, and many other great features!!! read more

Seems to have the best Redbox kiosks outside. Used to have inexpensive milk and eggs, but that is no longer. Still a better drugstore than most. read more

Helpful staff, great sales! Walgreens is the best place to stop to get everything on your list quickly. They also have the best sales on milk in the area. Love the photo service too. All around, a great store. read more
