When the gift card was bought, they were told it was good for an hour massage + gratuity. I tried to book my massage online and it kept saying it was $95. I was confused because I was told it was a $55 massage (gift card had $68). I called in and spoke to Natalie and explained that I was upset because the gift card wasn't good for the massage it was intended for. The person who bought it would not have randomly said they wanted $68 on a gift card. Natalie told me it was fine and the online booking system can be weird sometimes and that the gift card will work for the massage! I was happy so I booked it on the phone with her. During this, Natalie had to of had my information pulled up to see that I was there in September.. Fast forward to after my massage, Mackenzie told me my total... which was $95. I didn't have the extra $40 to spend on a massage in which I was told was $55. I was told that it's only $55 every six months? I explained what I was told and after a few minutes the manager told her to just charged me the $55 price. During this, I received no apology for the miscommunication that was solely on their part. Why would I book a $95 massage if I didn't have the money? Very unsatisfied with the service from the front desk today.

My results were less than spectacular, and i have a NEW forehead wrinkle i had never seen before! I called today and spoke (i should say, listened, as she kept speaking over me) to Devin, who told me that Botox takes 2 weeks for one to see any effect. Anyone who has had a successful Botox treatment knows that this is not true. When Caroline treated me, i saw immediate improvement in the eyebrow area. I finally gave up, as Devin put me on hold, talking to various people, and i realized that i had spent almost $750 in vain, as no one was concerned that i was not pleased with the results. i asked several times whether they would offer any corrections, and was told to call back in 2 weeks. This was very disappointing, as i have previously had a positive experience at Skin Spirit in both California and in the Maryland area. My recent experience was disappointing, and I would advise against purchasing gift certificates for this establishment. Despite scheduling a 60-minute massage a week in advance, communication was poor--I had to follow up via email as calls were not answered. On the day of my appointment, I was instructed by text to wait in my car until called. After waiting past my scheduled time, I entered the building and was met with an unfriendly reception. I was told my massage time would be reduced by 10 minutes due to being "late," despite following their instructions. I said, look at your camera you can see I have been in my car more than 20 minutes early for my appointment. I was then informed by a staff member they only saw a truck which I stated I was in VW bug on the other side of the truck! The time was rushed; I didn't even have my clothes all off before the masseuse barged back into the room. My requests for specific areas to be addressed were ignored several times. The staff were not welcoming, and the environment was not relaxing either. This wasn't the experience my friend hoped for when she gave me a certificate to mark my eight years cancer-free. Unfortunately, I made sure to contact my friend who gave me the gift certificate and tell her about bad experience. I will not return and do not recommend Barefoot Wellness in Prince Frederick, MD. If you're considering Annapolis, I recommend visiting one of the Wellness Houses there. You'll be treated well and leave feeling renewed.
