Horrible customer service when you call and get the answering service and stay on hold for 30 to 45mins then when employee picks up they immediately hang up on you. This makes it impossible to find out any information on your medicine unless you go to the store in person and then the line has 10 to 15 people in it. No. If you hired more people like RYAN who jump at the opportunity to help customers out, this would be the exact location this area needs. I just moved to North Carolina and part of my excitement, as a woman born and raised in New York, was to experience the hype of "southern hospitality" and honey, you will not find it coming from a woman named EBONI. THE MOMENT you walk into Walgreens located at 4408 New Bern Avenue, Raliegh NC you are greeted by THE MOST VILE, IGNORANT, USELESS black woman in the service industry. I asked her a simple question. She looked down at her phone the entire time simultaneously telling me she doesn't know any numbers for Walgreens or information about pharmacy or why she's considered an employee. I IMMEDIATELY SPRINTED TO CVS directly across the street. Where I was vaccinated, in under 15 mins, advising the CVS pharmacist that Walgreens pharmacy was a ghost town after she conveyed unsuccessful attempts to reach someone via Walgreens prescription phone line. Arrive to get my medicine only to find out they were shortstaffed and all pharmacy matters must be done through the drive-through. I have been sitting in the drive-through for at least 30 minutes and we haven't moved. Not one car. They had a second lane open but they close that when I try to get over there, this place sucks. today I experienced a very bad experience I seen the store manager about the name of Mr. David deny a customer who is in need of a return, which he had a receipt and also explain the reason for another receipt that was not present.... The store manager, Mr. David was very rude to the customer and very ignorant. The customer explained that his insurance card was changed over to a new card and system, and all he wanted was exchanged to get some medication which Mr. David walked away from him and told him to get out of his line and really discourage the customer as he was trying to figure out why he was being treated that way, which was very unprofessional of the store manager.... I truly believe the store manager needs to be penalized for trade in the right way and professional way out that it was very upsetting to see a customer be treated very unpleasant. read more

Then I had to wait in line again for another 15 minutes.. Then they were going to charge me 4x times what it should have been, waited another 10 minutes for them to get that fixed... They told me it would be 2 hours for my script to be filled, which I thought was ridiculous anyway. However, I went back 2.5 hours later to get it and it was still laying on the counter folded up and hadn't even been touched, nor put in the system. Highly recommend this pharmacy. Whenever I need a prescription filled, I use this pharmacy on the way home from work out of convenience driving north from downtown Raleigh. Yesterday I left work early to stop by the house in order to grab my bags for a 7pm flight. I noticed that I would be out of meds during my trip, so stopped by to get a prescription filled hoping to squeeze that in without delay. I frantically let the pharmacy technician know that I was in a big hurry, and she politely said it would be 15min max. I was a bit worried because there were several people ahead of me. Without having to reshuffle me on the priority scale, they called in some extra help from the front and the pharmacy was able to accommodate the folks ahead of me as well as my prescription in 11 minutes. Quite impressive with how busy this pharmacy stays to say the least. Saved me a lot of grief and I made my flight. The staff is always professional and courteous when I pepper them with questions. They are efficient and I would highly recommend this pharmacy to anyone in the Raleigh area. read more

Visited this Walgreens location today-4408 New Bern Ave, Raleigh, NC 27610. I was checking out with the black cashier with a fake braid. She got attitude because I did not want to give my phone number. I just want to pay with my card. I kept waiting for my card to go through and she kept asking about my number for points. Didn't care about points. I said just let me pay for this. She said you don't have to get an attitude. She kept going and the manager Richard was on other cash register. I said can you say something to your cashier. I'm the customer and she's being rude. He said I heard her and she sounded fine to me. You are the one with the problem. The cashier kept on talking stuff. She said just take your"tail" on out of here. Mind you Richard did nothing. Didn't deescalate or take over at any point while listening to me and cashier go back and forth. I asked for his help specifically. I asked him for his managers name in which he went to back to get her full name which was Meghan McCluskey. Meanwhile black cashier woman threatened to call the cops on me as I waited for Richard to get Meghans full name. I took a pic of cashier. She proceeded to borrow someone 's phone and take pic of me. Threatened to call police on me while I waited. I have never been so disrepected. I know this letter won't matter. But this is the absolute reason stores are going out of business everyday. People are tired of the horrible treatment. The cashier even asked people to be witnesses to me just standing there and I was not pleased but I didn't do anything else. It was awful and very very ghetto. I'm sure you have camera's and at no point did I move toward your cashier who threatened to calls the police. Well Walgreens is the first place we went and let me tell you there was an amazing lady who helped us with everything we needed. Wow! I literally just almost left my pocket book in the pharmacy and one of the Technicians just chased me down to make sure I didn't leave without it. I mean my life is in there. Tablet, cash, cards, checks, prescriptions. An opportunist could have had a field day. Thank goodness. Have been coming here on the way home for 3 years. The staff here is always very kind, they know me by name, and are quick to get me in and out. They get pretty busy here but their system gets it done with a smile and personality. I think Starbucks and how quick they are to accommodate their patrons. Top notch in my book if you need to get your prescription filled or shop for a few household items or snacks. Just stay away. In six months of using this pharmacy they didn't fill a single prescription correctly. Not. One. On at least 4 occasions they actually gave me the wrong medication. Despite several notes in their systems, and calls from me and my docs, they filled my prescription incorrectly. And that was when they filled it at all. (Because that was rare too.) Fortunately I don't need life-saving medications but I am genuinely concerned for those who do that think about using this pharmacy. Terrible. Dropped off a prescription at 5:45pm. Was told it would be 45 mins. Returned 2 hours later, still not ready, new time of 8:30pm. No call or alert as of 9:45pm. Called the automated line and only one of the two prescriptions were ready. I should mention there was a total of 9 pills that this pharmacy could not manage to put in a bottle in 4 hours!!! Currently waiting in line 4 1/2 hours after the script was originally dropped off after speaking to a manager who said it would be ready. If I could leave zero stars, I would. This pharmacy is the biggest pain in my butt every month. I will never again even bother. There is always an issue. There is ALWAYS a line. You will never wait less than 30 min. I never leave reviews. This place has me so mad that I'm leaving a review. I have taken 3 trips to try and pick up my script and have yet to get it. A different issue every time. I will now be driving to Knightdale to get my script filled monthly. Very poor customer service. Waited in line for 30 minutes to get to the window to pick up my sick daughter's medication and was told it would take 10 minutes after 30 minutes of waiting in line and the additional 10 minutes would take to have to wait for the medicine I just went across the street to Walmart to pick up dinner spent one hour purposely at Walmart with my sick daughter to make sure that there was enough time for them to fill the medication, I returned and waited 20 minutes in line got to the window to be told that one of the medication was not ready the person handling the window was very disrespectful and rude and told me that she didn't know what else to tell me that they were working on it, didn't give me any ETA or any some sort of timing while I told her that Id just wait for the medicine not thinking it would be another 10 minutes. While waiting a couple pulled right beside me and started using profanity and telling me that it was only for drop off and pick up, while this was going on the girl at the window was very disrespectful and was laughing about the situation. I tried to flag her down so that I could ask how much longer it would be as there was a line getting longer and longer and she simply swatted her hand at me and never pick the phone up. read more

We were told the prescription would be ready in an hour, which is great. I had a medical issue come up and was dealing with pain, but it was manageable. She went to pick up the prescription 8 hrs later when she was done with work, and not only was the prescription not ready because they were backed up, the attendant made a mistake and had to call the pharmacist up to assist. That in itself is no big deal, but she was laughing about it to the pharmacist and to my wife. Unacceptable. We are relatively new to the area and had been using this location, but will no longer be. Will definitely use the CVS conveniently right across the street from this location. read more

I've had my prescription filled here right after midnight on the day it was due because I had to go to work very early the next morning and didn't want to risk being late with a very nice pharmacist. I went in again at the same time for the same reason and the pharmacist was very rude, refused to fill it or even scan it in to see if it COULD be filled, told me they had never done that for me before when I HAVE all the information on my account, and then proceeded to interrogate me about why there was a "do not fill before" note on the prescription, which has ALWAYS been there. It's the date I go to see my psychiatrist and am given the original prescription. I'm never going to that Walgreens again. Reporting the psychiatrist. read more
