The other day I put online to order some eye drops for pickup. The cost of the eye drops, before tax, was $9.59. Their guideline, for a pickup order, is a minimum of $10. That was 41 cents short of the minimum required, so the order would not go through. I called and spoke to the store manager and asked if they could waive the 41 cent shortage and was told absolutely not. I called Walmart and arranged a pickup order, for the same price, without any hassle. Then I called Walgreens corporate and explain the situation. Corporate told me that's the policy. He already knew that all he needed to do was override a discount that would allow my second insurance to pay the difference (I know this because he told me could.) I call my insurance and they say the same: remove the discount and secondary insurance would pay. He still refused and played dumb like he didn't know what to do. I'm now 2 weeks late due to his negligence in receiving this medication. Pick a different pharmacy. read more

I went there to pick up my prescription that was called in earlier that day and said would be ready early afternoon. I got there the prescription wasn't ready after about 10 or 12 minutes of trying to find it. I told him that I would come back in 45 minutes. I went back there waited at the window for 12 minutes. I had to wave this individual down to see if I could get some help. I was there for 17 or 18 minutes. The worst experience I have ever had in my life. I will never go back. I will switch pharmacies. I was really trying hard to find the right allergy medicine and itch relief spray or cream for my dog. Phoebe was EXCELLENT! Although she couldn't advise me on what to buy, she politely approached me to ask if I needed assistance. Pointed out where the ointments were too. I'm leaving the review because her knowledge and professionalism did not stop there. One of the registers was messing up and she was the first one who was called up to assist. EVERY time I go I swear it will be my last. I wish I could give them ZERO stars. The only consistent thing here is the absolute lack of customer service. Always extremely slow, unfriendly, and overall incompetent which equates to a frustrating experience. I'm actually sitting on hold with the Pharmacy right now. It's been over 56 minutes with 1 other call in front of me the entire time. "We'll be with you shortly," on the recording is clearly a lie. They close in 20 minutes and I'm willing to bet I somehow just get disconnected at that time. I've heard too many excuses to count for delays or non-fulfillment of prescriptions. I've encountered employees who were not trained to properly to read insurance cards. I have presented co-pay cards they had no clue how to process, even when I handed them a clearly printed instruction sheet as well. There is light at the end of the tunnel. This is the last lone prescription I have to get here because the remainder of my family's Pharmacy business has been transferred down the street. read more

Joey is such an awesome employee that works there, always willing to help anyone. (He's the one in the photo.) But that's true of nearly everyone that works there including the managers. The pharmacy staff is great! Especially Fiona! Though the pharmacy staff is very busy they always take time to answer my questions. Which has really helped me out more than once. I also always get my flu shots here due to the customer service. I do wish they (Walgreen corporate) would add one more resource, permanently, to this pharmacy. I moved all my prescriptions to this Walgreens because of the great staff. But seeing them over-worked on a regular basis when it is obvious there is a need for another position (and it can be afforded) makes me wonder not about this specific Walgreens (because they are awesome) but about their corporate headquarters and why they are willing to risk losing less loyal customers due to the pharmacy being under-staffed. It says a lot about the corporation on how they treat their employees. Back to why they get five stars: When I enter the store, whomever is working the register always greets me with a welcome and hello and offers to help me find whatever I need. The store is very clean and is usually well-stocked. These are big ones for me because that is not true everywhere. I really appreciate the staff taking care of the store. Excellent parking right next to the entrance, thankfully, with plenty of spots. Easy to get in and out, which makes it very convenient. Lastly....Love their sales! read more

This review is for the pharmacy staff members that helped me a few weeks ago with a prescription. Clara the technician and Phoena pharmacist helped me so much because like many prescriptions time is of the essence. I called ahead of time to find out estimated costs and speaking to Clara I learned that for the prescription I was looking for, if my insurance didn't cover it there was a promotion from the vendor where I had to get a discount card and apply for it in the phone or online and bring the card back to bring the out of pocket to $35. That was a steal considering many other pharmacies quoted in the many hundreds of dollars for out of pocket in case my insurance didn't cover it or my deductible wasn't met yet since it's so early in the year. I first went to the drive through since I wanted to try that out, and I got the discount card and information and decided instead of waiting in drive through I would call vendor and go into the store since I wanted the Brand instead of generic they were offering. Considering also that BlueKC for some reason here was covering the Brand, but the full cost was charged for the generic. I am giving 5 stars because I have never been to a pharmacy where they help you get the best deal and also provide all the information to help the customer. As I waited I also witnessed another customer who switched insurance but needed their medicine timely so were given options on how best to get their medicine on time, check coverage with the new insurance. Usually a different pharmacy would give me a prescription and I deal with the insurance and what is covered or not. I wish I knew how to give 0 stars. Anytime I call the pharmacy it takes 30+ minutes to talk to an associate. If you plan on receiving good customer service look elsewhere. (For insurance purposes as I did.) It is well worth the drive! Your prescription will be done much faster. It will actually be ready when you arrive. I design and order invites for same day pick up. My order was scheduled to be ready 2 1/2 hours out, great. I drive to this location which isn't the nearest Walgreens, but the nearest one for same day pickup. I arrive at 5:40 and the associate tells me she was "just about to call me" to let me know they are out of cardstock and maybe they'll be ready tomorrow. I explain I need them tonight and the associate doesn't offer to help at all, can't offer another paper to use, won't call another store to help me order. I told her I had issues using the app and had to use my home computer, and oh well, I just have to go home and start the order over somewhere else! I was looking for a hard-to-find prescription drug for my dog. They had a quantity of 24 on hand and told me to start checking at least a week before the next refill is needed because of the availability. Carolyn and Lana were extremely helpful in helping me find a drug discount plan that would cover this prescription. This location's pharmacy is worst. They've refused to take calls today because they are short-staffed. How did I find that out? Well, by calling 3 times, waiting over 20+ minutes per call just to be hung up on/disconnected. So I called the store again to speak with an associate, assuming there's something wrong with the phone lines. The manager, Gary, informs me that 2 techs didn't show up so the pharmacist just puts the calls on hold and refuses to answer them. She's only filling prescriptions for people who walk up or drive through. I go to the store and the pharmacist said my order can't be filled until Wednesday, couldn't look to see if another store had it in stock, and said it be easier if i just went somewhere else. Worst customer service. Lack of communication. Taking my family of 6 to fill prescriptions down the street. Lost our business for good. read more

I have found the worst pharmacy in America. Walgreens in Parkville Missouri has been trying to fill my sons perception for over a week. The pharmacist told me that they ran out of this common medication. That was on Tuesday it is now Friday. I spoke to the pharmacist in person, they can't send the prescription to a different store. The pharmacist told me the medication MIGHT be ready next Tuesday. I'm glad my sons life doesn't depend on this medication. I will never use this or any other Walgreens again. read more

It is easily a 20-30 minute wait to pick up my monthly prescriptions, and something is always wrong (this last time, they spelled my name totally wrong to the point it was incoherent and couldn't be found without the Rx #). Will be transferring to CVS once my Rx runs out (which is thankfully this month). The only comfort is that other people have had the same experience I have had with them. Just horrible! read more

If there was an option for negative stars they would have received them! I have used them for much longer than I should have because I live less than a mile away. My husband and i both had to transfer everything to cvs because walgreens can not get it together. I have not been there once that they didn't have my prescription all wrong or couldn't find it. My husband received a text that his was ready for pick up and he shows up and guess what no prescription on record for him at all. This joint needs serious help! They definitely need to hire more competent pharmacy staff to keep the indoor and drive-thru requests moving! Most WAGS stores take ~15 minutes to fill a script, but you will be looking at 2+hours here! For a smaller town, it's unacceptable. so my daughter works for Walgreens and I ask her if she wouldn't mind taking my prescription bottle to the pharmacy so that I can have my medicine transferred from cvs this was about 11:30. she says no problem and takes it back to the pharmacy for me they say the call cvs and have it transferred. when she goes back after her lunch break to pick it up they say they haven't had a chance to call and have it transferred yet she says ok that she be back at the end of her shift. they say thanks and will get it taken care of, but when she goes back at the end of her shift they still haven't had a chance to call and this is at 4:30. she asks is there a problem they say no that their just busy. she leaves and we come home and relax and go out . after dinner around 7:30 she calls her pharmacy and asked if the script is ready to be picked up and the tech tells me that the pharmacist still hasn't had a chance to call and have it transferred. she gets pissed and asked to speak to the pharmacist this was what she had to say we've been so busy and I'm new and this is only my second day. so they talk and she finally calls to have my script transferred and then we went and pick it up it a span of about 20 minutes. that is just stupid and i would tell any one who listens that you should not use walgreens pharmacy on 6365 lewis dr parkville mo read more
