After visiting the photo dept at CVS last Wednesday where I waited 20 mins for someone to help me. I decided to go to Walgreen's Photo dept. If the pharmacy wasn't calling people hounding them to fill their prescriptions or to come pick them up their drive thru line would probably go faster if they moved these employees making these persistent phone calls to help customers that are there. I've been a Walgreens customer for many, many years. I have never received these types of phone calls until this store started them and I certainly don't appreciate them nor did I sign up for them in anyway. I don't need or want Walgreens trying to micro manage me and my prescriptions. read more

Better customer information. I got an email saying my photo order was ready for pick up. When I got there, they said that my order was never processed because of some failure in the department. I asked then why did I get an email with a confirmation number saying it was ready and they cannot give me a real answer. read more

Not customer service oriented. Ordered a rx from my doctor went to pick it up on a Friday, not ready bc they did not have the medication in stock. Clerk assured me the medication would be ready next day Saturday. Checked the posted hours, hours posted stated lunch 2-230. Went on Saturday at 115 pm. Pharmacy closed asked clerk why she pointed at the payed hours and said they are closed for lunch. I said to clerk you better update your signs bc they all state lunch is 2-230. Clerk stated I'll let my manager know. So needless to say I went with our my medication bc of their incompetence. Looking for new pharmacy. Also they always tell me I have no refills but my doctor says I do. This service is unacceptable especially when they are dealing with patients medications and health. This is my go to pharmacy, it's convenient to my doctors office and there is never any issues regarding my insurance coverage. Went in yesterday and the pharmacist gave me the Shingrix vaccine, he was kind and gentle, I certainly appreciated that because I was rather nervous. They open at 8am today but it was 8:10am and an EXTREMELY rude latino employee basically yelled at me because I asked him when they open. He did NOT say sorry, "I'm running late", he basically said get out. I then asked when they are planning to open, he barked at me, "IN A FEW MINUTES".. I went to a rival drugstore across the street for cold/flu meds. 10 minutes later, I noticed other customers arriving at Wallgreens and the mean man yelled at them to leave as well. So sorry! Worst customer service ever. Been with them over 20 years. Pick up medications every month. Can't get flu shot because they say Medicare number doesn't work all the sudden. Spent hours calling Medicare and Social Security and everything is fine including name, address, as number. No pharmacy manager. No store manager. Worst customer service in the pharmacy department. Gave the tall lady a $50. bill for a $15. prescription. She gave us $5. back. Didn't even look at my paperwork. That I can work with but to be treated in a disrespectful manner I can not abide. Called today for refill and once again super rude impersonal service was received. I rarely get a prescription but what started out bad, ended up with excellent customer service! I went to get a prescription and the Doc prescribed one that there is no generic. My super duper extra high deductible, would not cover the 378.00 and the gal behind the counter did not give me any advice. I left without getting it. The next day, I called and asked if there was generic, and the gal told me no. I asked about a similar generic drug and yes they had it for 10 bucks! So the gal called the Doc office and walaa about 30 minutes later she called me back and the Doc approved the similar generic drug I had inquired about. She also said it would be ready in about 20 minutes! I don't blame Walgreen for not suggesting similar generic drug: Then they would be playing Doctor prescribing something. As a consumer, do NOT hesitate to ask questions and look into alternatives. read more

I have been to many Walgreens over the years but this Walgreens in Oroville is much kinder and nicer than all the others. I had been evacuated with thousands of others out of Paradise. I had to have my prescriptions filled and picked up in Oroville since the fire. Oroville Walgreens Pharmacy was more than helpful and the young Asian man who helped me with my insurance to cover the cost of my prescriptions was Awesome! He knew just what to do and did it. I live in Southern California but am staying with my parents in Oroville during the COVID-19 lockdown. When I brought my prescription from my LA doctor here to be filled, the pharmacist told me, very rudely, that I need to find a new doctor in the area because they don't take prescriptions from "out of town." This is a medication that I've been taking for over 10 years and have gotten filled at other Walgreens locations many times. Ridiculous -- I will not be returning to this store. read more

How about calling to let people know that a photo item you ordered isn't working before you come in the store expecting what you ordered? Plus there have been plenty of times saying my order would be ready at a certain time and was told it was not and would have to come back at a later time. So sick of this store honestly. read more

My cousin is prescribed a psych medication by his doctor at this pharmacy the pharmacist filled it two times but said it was an exception because he didn't have an oroville address Even though he lived in oroville ever since him and his family lost everything in the Camp Fire. His doctor sent a prescription a third time and the pharmacist refused to give it to him. This is a medication that you can actually die without having; he's already suffered a seizure from withdrawals and right now is having suicidal thoughts and on his way to the hospital. This head pharmacist is cruel and should be sued or fired for negligence. I cannot believe they can override a MEDICAL DOCTORS instructions that say to give this man his medication. His mom called to talk to the the pharmacist and now my aunt is worried her son is going to die. I waited in line to pick it up for him and they still wouldn't give me his medication. I'm just in shock right now. He doesn't even want to take this stupid medication but has to because the withdrawals are so bad. Mental health is a serious issue and they think it's a joke or something. If he dies or hurts himself the blood is going to be on your hands Walgreens pharmacist. read more

The manager that is there at 3pm on a Monday is rude.. Don't take a valid coupon expecting them to honor it because they won't, even if you only have one like I did. I'm not usually a couponer, but had one that I had just printed. I now see why there is never anyone in that store when i go there. Other people have told me that they are rude to people with coupons also.On more than one occasion the employees have been rude. Wont be going back! read more

Today (7/23/18) was my grandfather's funeral. We needed the prints to be done by today at the Walgreens in Oroville. We ordered them at 12:55pm, my brother got there around 3:30pm and the service was terrible! He waited for 15 minutes and no one bothered to call someone to help him out. He had to call the direct number for the store to finally get someone to help him at the photo desk. Then! They informed him that the prints were not ready, eventhough the estimated time we had to wait for them were only an hour! The few prints that they did already were terrible! It was not aligned and did not look like the online version at all. What was the point of making it on your website when it does not look like what was promised? How can they not finish when my brother gave them 2 hours to work on this. He came back to the funeral empty handed and no prints to pass out to family members who came all the way to attend my grandfather's funeral. They were not apologetic and my grandfather's funeral was ruined for my aunt who's father passed away. She has no momento of him and this day thanks to the Walgreens family. Get your priorities straight, this is not exusable under any circumstance. read more

I'm a bit torn on Walgreens. The pharmacy is excellent. The pharmacy is so good, in fact, that I really don't understand the run-down store and run-down store staff that surrounds it. Not for the first time (but certainly the very last), I received downright rude service from the surly and exhausted middle-aged woman who checked me out at the general store counter. Guess what? I am also a surly and exhausted middle-aged woman in the customer service business, but I am at least professional enough to paste a smile on my face and be polite to my customers at the end of an 8 hour shift. The woman who waited on me snapped at me throughout the entire transaction, even when I made the mistake of trying to make casual small talk about the weather. What a dreadful woman. (It wouldn't even be worth remarking on except that this is the THIRD time I have had to deal with someone like her at the counter. And these people aren't just abrupt. They will actually say the incredibly rude things that those of us who are higher functioning can keep in our heads.) When I inquired about getting a Walgreens membership, she was downright alarmed at having to do that extra step. I told her never mind, as I mentally decided to never darken their somewhat dingy doorway again. Pharmacy = Excellent. Store = Quite awful. You'll see me in the drive through from now on. read more
