This is my neighborhood Walgreens and I feel so fortunate that it is. Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming! I often find myself chatting with employees as I shop, and there is a woman at the front register who practically can't wait to talk about how happy she is, which is such a nice boost and welcome change! Store is always clean, even if there are 3-4 people checking out at once the second person on shift always comes up to get you through quickly. Pharmacy folks are also really nice; one even came out from behind the counter one day to help me find the cold medicine I was looking for and suggest something that would help with my cough (it did. Thank you so much!) I shop here at least twice a week and have never had an experience that was anything close to negative. Well done, Walgreens! read more

Rude, Incompetent, and Completely Unprofessional - Worst Pharmacy Experience Ever Today was one of the most frustrating and unnecessary pharmacy experiences I've ever had--and it happened at Walgreens. My daughter's prescription for her ADHD medication was sent to this location. When we arrived to pick it up, the staff couldn't locate her insurance information and claimed it was coming up as "unknown." Fair enough--things happen. But what followed was beyond unacceptable. I calmly told them I would just pay out of pocket and use a GoodRx coupon I had used many times before. They told me the medication would be $100 without insurance, but my GoodRx brought it down to $35--yet they refused to honor it. Their excuse? "We don't accept GoodRx for narcotics." That's simply not true--and when I asked when that policy changed (because I've used it for this exact medication before), the pharmacy tech gave me attitude and responded with a sarcastic, "Well if she has insurance, how did you use it before?" It was a completely unnecessary and condescending remark--especially when I'm just trying to make sure my child gets the medication she needs. They were dismissive, rude, and clearly just wanted us to walk away without filling the prescription. They acted like I was trying to scam them by... offering to pay? They literally told me they wouldn't even let me pay without an insurance card. I've never heard of a pharmacy refusing a paying customer unless it was out of stock or unsafe to dispense. After going back and forth, they reluctantly agreed to fill it "just this once" using GoodRx--but told me next time we'd need to "figure something out" if she didn't have insurance. No actual solution, just more attitude. When I called Walgreens corporate, they confirmed I was absolutely allowed to use GoodRx and pay cash, and that there was no valid reason for the way I was treated. It's absolutely unacceptable that a major pharmacy chain is allowing such hostile and judgmental staff to be the gatekeepers of essential medication. This experience ruined my entire day--not just because of the runaround, but because of the cold, accusatory way we were treated. Looking at the reviews, it's clear we're not alone. I was told noone from ny is covered by their store who has insurance cash or credit only in Florida residents only. Walgreens pharmacy is the worst. I can't believe they are still in business. Drug prices are high enough and if my insurance provider didn't partner with them I would never use them. Their stupid app allows you to refill orders which I did on Tuesday for a Friday 12:30 pickup. At 11:00 on Friday I get a Text RX alert my meds are delayed out of stock. Why wasn't it ordered when the prescription request was received? Constant reminders time to refill your prescription, then when I do, I receive a notice it's too early to fill your prescription. Come on Walgreens tons of tech experts out there hire some and get your communications figured out. You don't deserve to be in business. I realized that my dr called Walgreens and put in a prescription for me. Walgreens usually text me but they never dd. I went there at 12:40 to pick it up on November 18th. I pull up to the window and they stated , "we will be with you shortly." I wait 15 minutes , watching them putting things away in the store. I finally hit the call button, again I hear ,"we will be with you shortly. After another 5 minutes she ask my name, gave it to her and she ask again, I gave it to her, she said , just give me your DOB. I did and she ask what medicine it was. I said I believe he called in some type of calcium. She then said, Is it something for your bones? I said yes. She said we put it back, you will need to pick it up tomorrow. I am VERY upset with Walgreens over medications and your pharmacy!!!! Its always a problem getting our prescriptions there. The pharmacist at this location is the absolute worst. Her customer service skills are beyond terrible. She joked about my condition and implied I was lying. I feel sorry for her staff. I'm sure they have to take the brunt of her incompetence. Every single interaction I have had with her she has been unprofessional and makes excuses for her poor service. I hate this Walgreens! I have to call in my prescriptions monthly and I'm always stuck on hold. Right now I've been on hold 32 minutes and still waiting. A couple months ago I waited on hold for 29 minutes and they hung up on me. I called back and waited another 20 minutes before being hung up on again. I eventually had to call the store manager who went back to put the order in himself. At least he was friendly. The pharmacy staff and never friendly and I dread every time I have to deal with them. Worst customer service of any place I have ever done business with. If I could give 0 stars I would. Tonight I made 3 phone calls to them about a prescription. I was on hold a total of 90 minutes and was never able to talk with anyone. for 30 minutes the recording said" our ..... are busy assisting other people, there is one caller ahead of you" then switched to just we will be with you shortly" I put my phone on speaker put it down and after an hour had elapsed hung up. when they give you a time that a prescription will be ready you always need to add 2-3 hours more and then you will still have to wait because they haven't started working on it or the pharmacist hasn't reviewed it, they filled it wrong or various other excuses. read more

Very rude and unprofessional management team who are not customer service oriented . Went in to buy a few items noticed some of the items I bought had sales tags on them. Got to the front register and I asked the keyholder Estella if she can honor the sale for the 2 dolls I bought buy one get 2nd 50% off she said no. I really was shocked if the sales tags are up for any item has a company Walgreens should honor the prices of what's on the shelf . I went back in to take a picture of the tag and buy 2 other items I forgot and another manager Cindy was just starring at me with a really bad face and asked me do you have a question I said no . And Cindy yelled out in front of all the customers online to the key holder who was ringing is this the guy who had a question and estella pointed at me . I said to Cindy that the keyholder estella answered my question already . Cindy went ahead and said what was your question I said I bought 2 dolls that were on sale Cindy said we close at 10 pm mind me this was 9pm when I bought the items what does the time have to do with this . She saw my work shirt she said you work for so and so don't you put up tags early I said no just because I really didn't want to talk to her but yes we do and we honor the sale for the tags we put up . She said ok come to the register to honor the price of the dolls she started to say there's no reason to make things difficult again boom I was shocked again I told her you know what Iam have a very difficult customer service issue here just ring me up for what I have and I'll leave . This pharmacy is a joke! Had my husband at ER and dropped his rx's off and said I need to run him home but I'll come back. Tech said they would text. Hahaha. I waited 1 hour call and am on hold for ANOTHER hour. I decide to drive there still listening to I was finally next to get answered call and stand in line when finally tech said can I help you. Yes been on hold hour nobody answered phone as you see and my husbands medication I dropped off from ER over 2 hours ago and she replies it's done but needs ckd give 5 minutes and I will call you. I waited to side for 10 minutes got back in line. After 3 customers again in front of me I got tech again and I said my husbands meds have been done and needed signed off when I told her I'm not leaving this spot again until I pay for his meds so get whoever to do last ck bc I'm not going anywhere. She finally gets the meds and says you can contact corporate. I laughed bc if store can't answer call in hour what makes you think corporate will answer? To MANY pharmacies around to go to then put up with the POOR service from Walgreens. Don't have pharmacists trying to do vaccines and fill rx's. THE. WORST. WALGREENS.......if you need a prescription I suggest going elsewhere. This isn't the first issue with the pharmacy BUT it will be my last. Thursday evening 10/7/2021 7:40pm went to the drive thru the pick up an eye drop prescription from our pediatrician from a 10:30am appointment. I assumed Walgreens had the prescription. The lady informed me (at 7:40pm) "it just came through" I asked her how long it would be. She said "it is just me and her so can you come back in the morning?". I should have said no; but I thought there are probably more pressing issues then these eye drops, I can wait until morning. 10:20am show back up at the drive through. They still aren't ready, the man says "it will be 15 minutes can you get back in the drive thru line?". Sure whatever. 30 minutes later the gentleman in the car in front of me goes up to the car in the drive thru then comes to tell me they are COVID testing their car of 4. I said thank you and went inside. Waiting another 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge I was there. Only to then be told our eye drops were over the counter and that "doctors don't know". Ok well the lady last night and you sir could have told me that at the window the 2 times I was there. Instead I wasted 2 trips up to Walgreens and over an hour of my time. When we are at the doctor we assume that when they call in a prescription that it is indeed that....something we need to get at the counter from the pharmacy. Get it together Walgreens on Toledo Blade. Will be moving any future prescriptions somewhere else read more

Do not use this pharmacy as it is poorly managed and complaints to corporate go unheard. They are always late getting medications and do not keep medications sufficently stocked. Staff is rude or completely unknowledgeable as if no one is sure of what is going on. If you are on a life altering medication this pharmacy will put you at risk. All others in this area are better managed. read more

In the past few months I've been in out of the pharmacy several times a week. Sometimes a couple times a day,and it started to get a little frustrating ( no fault of Walgreens ), insurance and Dr office issues. I'm not currently waiting to pick up my prescription. This is the fourth time I have tried to pick it up and every time they tell me it is going to be ready and it's not. This is without a doubt the single worst poorly run pharmacy in Florida. How can we be told 4 different times we can pick up the medicine we need and 4 times it's not ready!!!!! Went to the Pharmacy and dropped off two scripts to be filled. Both were for controlled substances. Received a text that my script was ready but just as I was leaving for the store I received a call from my doctor who explained the Pharmacist from this store called to verify the script but wanted also to violate my HIPPA rights by demanding that my doctor tell her what I was being treated for and why the quantity he wrote. My doctor refused to give this information as it is not Walgreen's right to breach my patient/doctor confidentiality which they tried to do. The pharmacist told him then she would refuse me the script, a script I depend on for pain and have been taking for over ten years and have purchased at Walgreen's before. So, I went to the store to confront the Pharmacist who told me that my medication was a "targeted" medication by Walgreens and she wasn't going to fill it because the doctor would not give her my medical information. Again, information protected by law. She did however fill a script for 180 2mg Tablets of Lorazapam no questions asked which is also a controlled substance that can kill you but not "targeted" by Walgreens. What kind of stupidity is this? A legal script that Walgreens had filled for me many times but now refused to. They were informed I could go into withdrawal but didn't seem to care. I called the corporation and while the person on the phone empathized they said they can't overrule their very own Pharmacist. They seemed to be puzzled about the HIPPA violation but hadn't much to say. As to not begin withdrawal I had to be seen by an emergency room doctor who could supply me with the medication. I am filing a HIPPA violation against them and will seek legal advice on the right to refuse to honor a legal script. I will no longer go to Walgreens for a pack of gum but I'm sure it will not matter to them. That is the problem with large corporations. They don't even say boo to the employee who treated me like a criminal in search of drugs. My advice is to never use this store to save yourself the indignation of the pharmacist who thinks she knows more than the doctors. Do not let them violate your HIPPA rights. read more
