Oh my, so hard to rate this Walgreen's. On one hand, they were clean and bright and organized. On the other hand, their customer service was abysmal. There were three employees at work near the cashier stands but only one was checking people out so we just had to stand in line. And then the clerk had to follow some apparent protocol giving us coupon booklets, telling us about $5 off if we had a flu shot, etc. wait, the live is backed up and you're wasting my time!!! And the other two employees, one a manager, could not be bothered to wait on us. Okay, the manager was on the phone. The other employee was stocking next to the cashier stand. Okay, I get it that you want your store to be organized, but not at the loss of customer service. And their Halloween Individual candy was a tent-tiny section. What is happening here O Great Pumpkin! Where is my Russell Stover Dark Chocolate Truffle! Where is my Russell Stover Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cream! What has happened to Walgreens and the Great Pumpkin! If they weren't the only pharmacy open on Sundays I would never darken their doorway again. I have been in some bad pharmacies before but never anything as disorganized and rude as this one. They fill prescriptions Willy Nilly without regard to the patient. I've had them fill stuff days after it was needed. I had one two part prescription that they filled several days apart that required using both concurrently. Which meant I suffered those days in between waiting on them to extract their heads and do their job. Straw that broke the Camel's back was the last trip there. I stood in line forever (pretty much correct) waiting on a singular clerk mindlessly stumbling through her job taking 3 or 4 times as much time as needed. When it finally got my time to be served she just up and turned around and disappeared for around 10 minutes. As I'm standing there wondering if I'll ever get waited on out of nowhere another clerk comes up and opens a register and ignored me and started waiting on everyone who was in the line behind. 6 different people were taking care off from behind me before the space cadet who was waiting on me reappeared. I want to be objective and to do so I should've looked at the clock when we got here but it's unbearably difficult to deal with the pharmacy wait at this location. I believe the staff here are likely doing the best they can but it's clear that leadership have phoned in any sense of efficiency and there is no desire to improve as this has continually gotten worse over the years. I can only assume this is to garner extra income via the delivery option because it's clear this location has no desire to improve in person service. Can I rate a zero? They never have your prescription filled on time. Then they give you a time to return, and it still isn't filled. When you try to call, you are put on perpetual hold and then hung up on. Every Walgreens in Norman is this way. I try to avoid them at all cost, but sometimes have no other options. The pharmacy is not an issue they are doing their best. The rest of the store is absolutely awful. Every online pickup takes at least 2 hours, the staff seems annoyed at guests seconds after opening. No body seems like they want to be there or just really grumpy for some reason. read more

Service at this pharmacy just keeps getting worse. If they give you a time that a prescription will be ready, it almost never is. Went by yesterday to check on two prescriptions. Was told they'd be ready by 5 pm yesterday. I went to pick them up at 10 am this morning (i.e. seventeen hours after I was told they'd be ready). Only one was ready. I was told the other would be ready "in thirty minutes." I came back over an hour later. It still wasn't ready. This is entirely typical of this pharmacy which is disorganized, understaffed, and often unpleasant to the customers. Since Walgreens seems unwilling to respond to all the one-star reviews saying similar things, my advice is: don't use this pharmacy if you can avoid doing so. read more

Pathetic customer service. Absolutely horrific. Never will return. Called on needed prescription 45 minutes before arriving at the Wallgreens Main Street location. Waited in line 10 minutes and when I went to the pharmacy window a "porky pig" looking female actually pulled down the "gate" in my face and another customers and said that they were closing in 10 minutes and we would have to leave the store, get in our car and " wait in the drive thru line for at least 20 minutes" to get our prescription. I told them that we are sorry to be such "pee on" customers. A skinny bearded employee in the pharmacy actually was laughing about it. Leroy the pharmacist said he was sorry and that he only had worked there several weeks. Noah after getting an earful from me said that they would not fill my prescription period. (Noah is correct they will never fill any of my families prescription's ever again nor get 20cents from my very fat wallet). Advice? -fire Porky, Noah and the beard man, retrain Leroy. PS. Costco and Sam's deliver pharmaceuticals often at far less cost and their customer service skills are inordinately superior. It was obvious that the c holes have zero equity stake in Walgreens -unless they are ignorant and illiterate. Should the head pharmacist not take disciplinary action- fire him/her too. I have been waiting on a prescription refill for a week now. I am presently on the phone and have been waiting for someone to pick up for 1 hour and 15 minutes!!!! I called to see why the delay in filling my prescription and no one is answering my call. Disgusted to say the least. I have used Walgreens for more than 10 years. I have no idea what the shift has been in the last 6 months but I will never use this pharmacy again. Zero accountable , zero follow through. I have to call non stop to get my rx. And call to spoon feed them when 2rx's are present and not to fill the wrong one. And they still fill the wrong one and then again it's my problem to resolve calling nonstop. When I get this misfill corrected I WILL NEVER use them again. And they could care less. I literally checked pill descriptions online to make sure I was giving my son the correct pill - that's how little faith I have in this pharmacy. read more

This store is literally falling apart. I've never seen such terrible mismanagement. As I've stood in line at the pharmacy for over 30 minutes I'm still only 5th in line. There are over 15 customers waiting on line while only one customer window is open. I wouldn't have bothered to mention anything because stuff happens - I get it. But it's like this every time now! TERRIBLE pharmacy service. First, I stood in line for about 15 minutes to order a refill. Second, the young woman told me I didn't have any medications with refills--when I knew for a fact that I did, because my doctor had confirmed it less than an hour before. It turned out that she couldn't understand my pronunciation of "benzonatate" even though I pronounced all the syllables and all the letters but had said "ben-zoh-na-tate" instead of "ben-zah-na-tate". After getting beyond that hitch, she told me it would be 20-25 minutes before my refill would be ready. I said I would wait in their waiting area and asked them to call me, and she said they would page me, pointing at the ceiling. Over _45_ minutes later, I received a phone call saying my prescription refill was ready. I went up to the counter and waited. After waiting for about 5 minutes for them to finish helping the customers at the cash registers, I was told that I would have to go to the end of the long line and wait in line a SECOND time. TWICE for ONE refill! I have severe lumbar scoliosis, and standing makes my back hurt quite badly. After standing in line a second time (for a total in-line time of nearly 30 minutes), my back was screaming, and I could not stand up straight. I took my prescription. That will be THE LAST PRESCRIPTION I ever get from this Walgreens. read more

Out of state daughter in law school tried to pick up prescriptions. They stated they couldn't because the card was expired. If they would have taken the time to verify and not be rude, they would have discovered the insurance was valid. I personally use CVS. Hopefully my family will move over to get away from Walgreens. This has hands down been the worst experience I've ever had. I called to move my prescription over to this 24 hour location and spoke to someone on the phone and they said it wouldn't be a problem. I noticed multiple delays on the app so I showed up to see what was the matter. I get through to the drive through and gave my name and date of birth. I was then told my prescription wouldn't be ready for another month. When I asked why since I had just gotten this prescription refilled today I was just told it won't be ready for another month. I pulled away and tried calling the pharmacy to get an explanation. I waited on hold after 10 min to get immediately hung up on before I could get a single word out. For insight the prescription I need is something I can't function without. I'm appalled and disgusted by the sheer lack of compassion and customer service. I'm in tears in the parking lot writing this review hoping someone at Walgreens will see this and make the necessary change. You work at a pharmacy to help people get the medication they need to survive but I've gotten better customer service at a McDonald's. read more

After using this Walgreens for many years, I will never fill prescriptions here again - even though Walgreens is the preferred pharmacy for my insurance. I have transferred all my prescriptions from Walgreens to a different pharmacy. You just cannot even imagine how appalling the pharmacy experience has become here over the past approx 1-2 years. They are chronically out of an extremely important prescription - despite me repeatedly pleading with them to keep it in stock - which meant me often running out. (My new pharmacy always keeps me in stock with this med.) And the wait times to pick up filled prescriptions are just insane. I decided I'd rather pay a higher copay at another pharmacy than deal with all the stress and running out of medication that I was experiencing at Walgreens for the past 1-2 years. Trust me, it's not worth using this pharmacy. I love my new pharmacy, since leaving Walgreens. I get my meds on time, and I can pick them up quickly - something that did not happen at Walgreens. read more

This was my first experience with the Norman Walgreens on W. Main Street. I needed my prescriptions transferred from an out of state pharmacy. Shawna and the other staff went above and beyond to resolve issues associated with that transfer. They were able to get a partial order the same day and a full order the following day. I greatly appreciate the crew at the pharmacy. read more

My prescription was supposed to be ready at 5 pm. It ended up being backordered with no time frame for arrival. I wasn't called called and informed. I went to pick it up and was told this to late to call the doctor to have the prescription sent to a different pharmacy. This was on a Friday so I won't be able to contact the doctor until Monday causing withdrawal symptoms. There was no excuse for this. They also were unable to find two other prescriptions for at least 20 minutes. After much arguing a different person was called in to help and was able to find the prescriptions in only a few minutes. Again, no excuse for this. The management for this store needs to take action. The ratings for this store have been very low for quite awhile but nothing is changing. Time to change pharmacies. read more

I have never been more disappointed in a pharmacy. Their computer has been broken for over 24 hours, so they are unable to sell me the prescription I need and have been waiting for. I have been back 3 times since then and they STILL haven't fixed their computer. It's gotten to the point where I am all out of my medication and can't get it refilled because they can't fix a simple computer issue. Really inconvenient and frustrating. First, 24 hours...thank you for staying open 24 hours a day every day. Second, I call...I can talk to a robot or a person...my choice. AND, YOU ACTUALLY ANSWER THE PHONE! Third, you look at my account and determine if there is a cheaper drug, ACTUALLY FIGURED BY RUNNING IT THROUGH MY INS. SO, no surprises when I go to pick up my prescriptions. Fourth, they are friendly. Yes, I know there might be ONE who is having a bad day ONE time. But, give the place a break. They are dealing with sick people ALL day long. And, you know sick equates to GRIPEY! and, probably, sometimes, mentally off sometimes depending on why the person is going. Lol. (This is a joke & not intended to be specifically about any one person or to offend.). My point, especially for all the ugly reviewers, these guys have a pretty tough job. Well, I wouldn't do it. But, I'm glad they are! So if we start with nice, expect nice, then maybe we will get nice in return. I like the selection inside and it's always clean. So there's that too. This location gives me the creeps! I would love to use the Drive thru but it is always bumper to bumper. One time it took me 30 minutes to get my prescription in the Drive thru! I go inside but homeless people loiter the store and it makes me feel unsafe because one of the medications I have to pick up is considered a controlled substance. Worst drive through pharmacy experience EVER! The lady never even acknowledged me in the second lane. Helped three other cars and I had to press the call button multiple times. She finally answered and said my prescription was ready. I had already been waiting 40 minutes at this point. It took another 10 minutes before she came back only to help another car in lane one. I want to warn those who use this pharmacy. I was released from the hospital Sunday 10/14/2018 and stopped by on my way home to pick up medication. I was not feeling well & went straight to bed, so I did not look at my medications until the next day. I was prescribed 10 tablets of a very potent pain medication. The first time I looked at the bottle I realized it was not filled correctly. Only 7 out of the 10 tablets were in the bottle. The next day I went to the pharmacy with my medication paperwork showing exactly who filled the medication and what time we picked it up. I went in to talk to the manager about 2pm and was told by a young woman he would be back & she would have him call. It has been four days and no response. Please be aware this pharmacy is cheating customers on pain medications! You should always count the number of pills in your medication bottles to verify they match the amount in prescription labels. read more

Had two prescriptions called in. Showed up about an hour after they were called in. Got up to the window and they said it would be an additional 25 minutes. It has now been 40 minutes. Wait in line again and it is now going to be another 20 minutes. I understand being busy but at least be realistic when giving a time frame. read more
