I took my niece to this Ulta for her birthday so she could pick out a few special treats. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. As we entered, several associates were standing in a group near the front, but no one greeted us or welcomed us into the store. While that alone isn't a huge issue, I overheard one employee comment about my niece wearing a birthday sash in what came across as a rude, annoyed tone. It immediately made us feel uncomfortable, especially since we were there to celebrate her. Not once did an associate check on us or ask if we needed help. Multiple employees walked past us (literally passing us on the aisle) several times, and I watched them stop to ask other customers if they needed assistance while completely ignoring us. At checkout, Lina was polite and kind, and I appreciated her friendliness. However, when the associate at the neighboring register called "next," we explained that we were together. She simply turned around and walked away without saying a word. Overall, I was hoping to make this a fun birthday outing for my niece, but instead we left feeling unwelcome. She's 8 years old and it was disappointing to see a group of women make no effort to acknowledge her, especially on her birthday. For comparison, we stopped at Sephora across the street , and their team went above and beyond to make her feel special. The difference in customer service was night and day. read more

Salon colorists, the two toned blonde with long stringy hair. should not be allowed to color anyone's hair!! she's absolutely clueless and knows nothing about a hair consult, etc. She is too busy talking about her HS theatre career! I went in blond and came out an ugly brunet!! She ruined my hair. First time I have ever had a stylist do that. There's one that can do blondes, but beware. The managers are a bunch of not very well put together women so that should have been my first clue. Classles, just beware!! I like to walk in get what I want and walk out. I don't earn points. I don't bring things back. I don't even live here. I have no need to give you my phone number. I just need for you to ring up my purchase and let me pay for the product... no I don't have a number to give you. No I don't have a daughters number to give you and you are sure as hell not going to ask the person behind me for their phone number to ring up my product. What is so hard about ringing up a customer that just wants to give you their money without giving you a phone number. I don't want to participate. I just want to pay for a product and walk out! The woman at the front with the bat necktie/necklace was extremely rude. I was there at 3pm today. She kept inputting my phone number incorrectly and then argued that I was saying a different zip code and that she was "good with numbers"... I've had the same phone number for 23 years...I think I know my phone number. I've never had someone be so rude at Ulta. read more

I came to this Ulta as I'm in town for a wedding & I was lucky enough to get an appointment the night before. I have to say everyone at this store is so nice, friendly & helpful. My hair stylist was Kaitlin, not only was she was super sweet, she did an amazing job on my hair, I loved it. Kaitlin was able to make me an appointment to get my eye makeup done at the Mac Counter & I was very happy with my makeup artist as well. I would recommend this location for hair & makeup services. I typically don't get this type of friendly service/greeting when I go to an Ulta back home in LA. read more

Staff is not helpful or even act like they like their job one bit, when I asked for recommendations on 2 different occasions they were both exactly the opposite of what I asked for. I asked for a LONG LASTING lipstick and I was recommended a Mac liquid lip that never dries so that defeats the purpose, also asked for a skin tint for my dry skin and they sold me a tint that dries matte on the skin and is the wrong shade. When I'm in the area, I come here to buy my things. However, I would much rather shop online. The staff is never around unless you're wanting your makeup done. If you want/need help or have questions, good luck trying to find a staff member. More times than none, I have to do my research on my phone while shopping. I love Ulta and will continue to shop online but I do wish they would pay more attention to the providing better customer service in the stores. read more

I give the store a 3 because ONLY there's an employee that works there that is not friendly to me. I walk in and doesn't greet me but will greet others. Now that they are open again I've seen her 3 times and she is quick to help others but not even acknowledge me. I had a return and a nice young lady was helping me and she asked for help at the register bc there was a line. So the rude lady came up and you can tell had an attitude and kept looking over me like I was the problem! I don't know her name but she is short with dark hair. She just might be the manager! I don't need a whole conversation but a simple welcome to Ulta will work! Yes you're wearing a mask now but you not making eye contact or saying hello to me is rude when you do it others. I will just stick to shopping online from Ulta after today's trip. I was looking for a specific product but I couldn't find a single person to help me. There were clusters of workers talking and a few girls walking around avoiding eye contact. 1 star because I wasn't greeted when I walked in and no one helped me at all. 3 people all very close to the door when I walked in and no one said anything. I'm not sure if it is because I'm a person of color or because management doesn't require employees to greet guests upon entering (however upon leaving I saw someone else come in who was greeted who was not a person of color). If I didn't know the exact product that I needed I would've not given Ulta any of my money. Management needs to do better. I came in today purchasing 2 items and was wanting to redeem my birthday reward. I was greeted with "Phone number?" When getting to the register, and the ladies working the register were very neglectful, short, and not friendly at all. I asked about my birthday reward and was immediately questioned on if I got an email about it. I knew my birthday was on my account and I asked simply if it was on there. I was asked rudely for my email and given the gift, not given a choice on what gift I was supposed to choose. I was never given a response when I thanked the woman (out of respect), I'm not sure if the staff is not enjoying their job and doesn't want to be here, or they just don't know how to be kind to customers and use good service. read more

I love the Benefit Brow Bar and in particular Jill. What I don't like is arriving for an appointment and being told Jill is out sick. I was told I should have been called by a disinterested staff person. This is the 3rd time this has happened with this store and the first time with Jill. This is not a Jill problem. People get ill or have personal issues come up. That's life. This is a management problem. As a healthcare administrator, I believe it falls on the manger/administrator to ensure customers feel valued and respected. In this case, management should have informed me before I drove 35 miles to a nonexistent appointment. The staff person could have demonstrated a bit of empathy and concern. That too is a management problem with training and setting expectations. Please Ulta in Norman, step it up. read more

Overwhelming array of items to choose from. The ladies throughout the store are somewhat helpful, although they try to sell you certain brands that will get them commission, not so much offer you honest feedback. The other times they're standing around gabbing to each other about nothing important. Nonetheless, they get 2 stars from me because the snobby/negative attitudes of the employees at the counter. Stop rolling your eyes to each other after a customer leaves (yep other customers in line can see you!!!). They definitely have people that represent the big brands there. I wanted tarte foundation but the immediately tried to sell me Estée Lauder. I wanted the tarte shape tape and they discouraged me immediately. I got what I wanted and left. I sure wish they were more willing to help me with shades of the make up I wanted and not the make up they wanted me to have. I was definitely frustrated. read more

Have called this Salon for the 5th time today - after several hours of no answer someone finally connected me to the salon which is what I was wanting. Girl answered the phone and I told her I needed to change an appointment, put me on hold, held for 13 minutes and finally hung up. I have been a customer at this salon for quite some time and if it wasn't for Caitlin doing my hair I would have not returned. Now that the prices have gotten so high and after the rapid decline in customer service I may take my business elsewhere. I would think a customer that comes every month for hair cut and color and has spent the money for this service for several years would deserve better service. When Caitlin is out on maternity leave I would NEVER trust any of the other girls to touch my hair or recommend anyone to see them for any service. I have been looking for someone to do my hair for quite some time, but have been scared to try anyone new since moving to the area. The lady I went to first cut my hair much shorter than I asked, which is one reason that I was so hesitant. I went to Ulta because a friend recommend I try one of the ladies that worked there. Today, I went to schedule an appointment and was surprised when I was told that I could get in today. Mary Heimuli did an absolutely AMAZING job. I got my hair cut at Ulta. I have never been so upset with a haircut in my life. This was my first time coming to Ulta After telling the hairdressers I did not like the haircut she hastily walked me to the checkout. She handed me a slip to take to the front. I asked why can I not check out here she stated " this is only for making appointments" then walked away. This station had a card reader and was clearly ment to be the salon check out. I proceeded to the front where the line took almost 15 minutes to get to the front. In tears I told the ladies at the front I did not like the cut and the hairdresser did not apply my 20% discount for new visitors. She told me she could not do anything I would have to go back to the hairdresser. After The hairdresser had already not acknowledged that I did not like the cut and done nothing about it. I did not go back I had to pay $43 for the worst haircut of my life and was treated very poorly. read more
