She was very kind and understanding. She offered to have me come back and complete my service with someone more experienced. The experience was great! The wax was very well done and I will continue to go back! I went in for my first wax living here in Norman. I use to go to a place near my previous residence. I planned to get my under arms and bikini full done. She started with my underarms and did not have the success she nor I wanted. More than half the hair is still there. I have very dark and coarse hair-- which has never been a problem until now. I also grow hair extremely fast, unlike most people. One-two weeks of hair growth for me is equivalent to a month to others. She explained to me the reason for my underarm hair not coming off is because I have shaved before in my life and the hair growth goes different directions depending on the section. Who hasn't shaved their underarms before is my question? I am aware of this, that's why you do not do the entire thing at once. You go in sections-- I've always assumed this as being a common practice, but I guess not. There was/is also a lot of discomfort and bleeding from her not taking her time and pulling it very hard all at once. I have a very high pain tolerance there so it felt fine, but when I looked down and as the day went on the discomfort grew. When she started on my bikini she pulled two strips. One was great and the other wasn't at all. The wax wasn't completely cool and you could tell she was rushing. She said if we continued, then it would look much like my underarms. After already feeling pain and seeing the hair under my arms, I opted not to pay for bad results. She did my bikini line which resulted the same bleeding as my underarms. She suggested I come back in a week to try again. Overall, the girl was very nice. She just wasn't as skilled or precise as I had expected from a waxing center and because of it, I am dealing with much discomfort without the results I ex I made the appointment, but have not decided on going back. I most definitely will not have them do my underarms again.

Decided to book with Flaunt for blowouts on the morning of the wedding. Two having blowouts done: one with long hair and one with just-above-shoulder-length layered hair. Two different stylists worked while I watched (just along for the ride, I guess). Long hair blowout looked good. Nicely done and flattering. Shorter, layered hair was quite the challenge. I watched as the stylist tried and tried, kept adding more gels and products and then tried again. Hair got stiffer and stiffer . . . and when she was done, it didn't look a whole lot different from when we walked in, other than it was plastered in place. This is not just a blow dry bar, this is a full-service salon. The majority of the customers getting blowouts here did have longer hair, or hair that was cut to one length. The layers must have really thrown the stylist off . . . which is weird. The following day, I was told it took two separate deep shampoos to get all of the junk out of her hair. Wow, if that had been me, I would have rated this place with several less stars. Only reason they get 3 stars is because the one stylist did do a nice job on the long hair, and I will give Flaunt credit for that.
