I am hesitant on returning however because the place felt very dirty. My appointment was at 9, there was hair on the floor at just about every station. I asked what time they start cutting hair thinking maybe they were busy that morning. They start at 9, so the hair is from previous day(s) which is gross... I ask where I can put my sweater and she says the chair at the station next to us. I have to drape it just right because there are big clumps of hair in the chair.... The cables/wiring hanging front the ceiling were COVERED in dust as was the decor sitting out. I think Kelsey does an amazing hair cut but I'm not sure I like going to such a dirty salon.

Unfortunately, not all of the stylists are skilled or experienced --some are -- so I have sometimes i left wishing I had gotten a different stylist. Don't get me wrong though all the stylists are very friendly I do like the overall venue, though, it's industrial in theme

Please go to any other salon. There is no reason politics should be discussed loudly in any public space. Especially if it is hateful, and they are. He just wanted an even short cut and she left it too long with no time to fix it. Don't go here for men's haircuts. It seems to be geared towards women's dye jobs.

After getting very…read moreannoyed with all my split ends I decided to give in and go here because the reviews seemed good and I'm happy I did! Traci was my stylist and the service was amazing. She cut my bangs perfectly and trimmed all the dead ends off. I usually hate talking during service because I just feel awkward but she made me feel comfortable and welcome. Not only that but I also had my hair styled and I think I left that salon feeling the cutest I ever have. Tracey gave me perfect beachy waves; I was taking pictures for everyone. I'm definitely going to start coming here and getting my hair cut/styled more often! Edit: I took it down by two stars because I had my hair cut by someone else who wasn't Tracey and I'm very disappointed with it. I asked for my bangs to be "long enough to sweep to the side but short enough I can wear them straight down if I want to" and had a picture showing what I meant. It was the same thing I told Tracey and same picture. The other girl cut them so short that they're half an inch above my eyebrows. I left with uneven blunt bangs; not at all what I asked for :/ I'm still going back but I'm definitely not risking having someone else cut my hair next time. I'm incredibly sad with how my hair looks

I decided to contact them to ask if they used Prevana- which to my delight, they did! I had emailed other salons near me and this salon was the only one who really was interested in my questions and answering them accordingly- thanks Eren! After explaining that I just moved here and what I was wanting, Eren recommended Monica for me. When I arrived for my appointment, I did not have to wait, I was seen right away by Monica. Monica was very friendly and approachable and was very excited to work with the colors I had chose. I was very pleased with my overall cut and color. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because when I spoke to Rachel (receptionist) about confirming my appointment, I wanted to verify the colors they had in stock- so that it was readily available for my appointment. She told me not to worry, that Monica would have the color and if not- another stylist would have it. Well, as it turns out, they did not have1 out of the 3 colors I use- so I was a little disappointed with that- especially since I had asked about it prior to my appointment. I have another appointment with them in November and Monica said that this time, they would have all the colors for me, so I'm looking forward to my next visit. http://www.urbanretreatsalon.com
