I always have a very pleasant experience here, all of the employees are compassionate and understanding. Particularly today, Maeve was on the register, and she was very patient and helpful with me and both of the ladies in front of me. She helped all three of us with the rewards system and our coupons, particularly the person in front of me since her phone number didn't work at first, and she made sure to tell all of us to have a great day. The only reason I'm rating the entire store with 4 stars is because I have had several issues with the pharmacy in the past. A common issue I see is getting the notification that my medications are ready, but the pharmacy doesn't have it in stock when I get there. Im sure there is a way for that to be fixed as it is most likely just an issue with the system sending out those notifications too early. read more

I waited for over 1 hour on the phone before I was cut off. I decided to drive to this store to speak to a pharmacist about a partial refill that was due to be filled again. When I picked up the partial I was told to come back in a month and the next month would be filled. It was at that point I was told that since it was a controlled substance I would need a new prescription. My complaint is that when I picked up the partial I could have been told that I would need a new prescription and a special code that enabled them to fill 3 months. I feel that this is poor customer service that needs to be addressed. read more

(from my husband) I had--emphasis *had*--been working with them to get my prescriptions transferred there from the nearby Rite Aid now that they've closed. And for a week, it seemed to be working. Until this morning. Yesterday I had checked on the status of the transfer as I had run out of one of my meds. I was told it was one that had come through and that I just needed to be sure which one. The "employee" I talked to even asked to check my insurance. I showed him my card, he typed something in to the computer and it looked pretty routine. Came back this a.m. now that I knew which one needed to be refilled. Clerk says she might be able to refill it while I waited. Then she decided to check my insurance again. Whoops! It seems they DON'T TAKE IT. Huh? She said the guy I had talked to the day before--short, dark-haired, Asian-looking--had made a mistake. I said I would pay out of pocket for this to be fulfilled but I was going to have to go somewhere else (She suggested CVS; the nearest one is three times as far away. But she was just as incompetent as her co"worker" because right after I went to Hannaford and yes, their pharmacy takes my insurance). So Walgreens is to blame here. Not just for hiring these morons (can you tell me, Walgreens, where they went to school so I know not to ever hire any other graduates of those institutions?) but for a fundamentally poorly designed process of accommodating transfers from a chain YOU MERGED WITH and whose customers you have signage all over the store welcoming. Because wouldn't it make infinitely more sense to ask about the customer's insurance AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PROCESS before they waste their time like mine was so cavalierly wasted? I'm not going to say I would never shop here again. But next time I darken the door--and believe me, when I come, it WILL be darkened--I will need to see that these two have been not only fired but completely blacklisted from ever drawing a paycheck (it would be far too generous to call what they didn't do for me "work") in drugstores again. Received all the notifications (phone and text) that my prescription refill was ready to pick up. When I went in I was left standing there for a while after giving my information while I observed a conference of 3 employees gathered around a computer. Clerk comes and tells me my prescription was filled at Walgreens on Dolson Avenue in Middletown. I asked how that was possible. She told me my doctor called it in to there. Not true. My doctor phoned NOTHING in....hadn't seen or spoken to his office in quite a while. I see him every 6 months and only call the office every 3 months for them to call in my 90 day supply I was picking up a REFILL. Besides the one I was attempting to pick up I also had another month before I would even have to have a new prescription called in. Woman had an attitude while I hadn't given her one. I was attempting to figure out how this was even possible. I repeated my information( because I had found out a few years ago there was another person with my name) and received a snappy" I know who you are." As I said I had been calm and polite but was getting ready to loose it with her nasty attitude and her insinuation I was somehow wrong. There is no way anyone called a prescription in for me to a pharmacy far away from my house that I have never used before. I believe somebody made a mistake at this pharmacy and instead of being polite and saying "I'm sorry, I don't know what happened, let me get this filled for you" they chose to come up with an excuse that made no sense. That also explains the immediate defensive attitude I got before I even had a chance to get mad. I also advise against having to call the pharmacy. When I had called in for the refill I was left on hold for 25 minutes and then someone picked up the line and hung up on me without saying a word. I had to call back and had the privilege of sitting on hold for @30 minutes. Horrible customer service. I am switching out my prescription to another pharmacy. read more

Never had an issue everyone has been professional. Every time I've been here it's to pick up prescriptions.

Once again Walgreens gets top marks for rudeness of staff. I tried filling a prescription through voice message and got transferred to the pharmacy. Once the representative picked up the phone, she didn't even let me finish what I was saying before she cut me off with "what's the patient date of birth ?" I then gave her the date of birth and the prescription number, and she said "We will have it ready by 4:15" and hung up on me. Very rude!!! Not a hello, how can i help you or a goodbye!! DONT go here for your vaccine! I was vaccinated at SUNY Orange... expected that to be chaotic but it was smooth... Here at Walgreens's on 208 there is no point to making an appointment... 4 staff members with three tasks... fill prescriptions... help customers... give injections... it was TOO much for them to figure out!! Then they reacted as though my saying at 5:40 that I had a 5:15 appointment was a sin. If we are on time... you should respect it. Parents are juggling more than ever... please don't make things worse by being the worst at what you do. Epic fail. read more

This pharmacy is outstanding!! The pharmacist staff consistently goes above and beyond. They are kind and competent..... very hard to find these days. They don't torcher you and make you wait 2 hours for script when obviously you are suffering and or sick. They get you your meds and get you home to recover. Also cellular alerts for renewal of prescription plus notifications your order is ready for pickup. Montgomery is lucky to have Walgreens they make life much easier! Thank you,those pharmacy employees should get a bonus or time off award for all the good they do. Snotty assholes in the pharmacy. If I want to be judged, I'd commit a crime. Don't make me feel like a criminal for wanting my damn prescriptions a day early because my company car has a GPS tracker in it and I'm not allowed to drive it on the weekends. Bog standard Walgreens with mediocre service. The store is located near the main shopping area in town, making it rather convenient. They have a typical layout for a chain drugstore, if you've been in one up you've been in them all. I was surprised by their freezer selection, which was a little more comprehensive than normal. What destroyed the experience was poor service at checkout. Pushy about using their rewards program, but this probably was corporate policy. Customer before us had issues with credit card reader before finally making a successful payment. And the cashier forgot one of our bags. read more

I want to love this place because it's so conveniently located for me but ughhhh! They don't stock a lot of my favorite products. They have the brands but not a good selection within brands. I had my Dr call in a script while I was in his office and they were told it would be ready in 10 mins which was great because I was 15 mins away. I used the drive through, attempted to pickup. I was told it would be another 10 mins. I said ok, sat in the parking lot for 15, drive through again, still not ready and now getting an attitude that it would be 5 more mins. 45 mins later and 4 attempts later it was ready. It was a prepackaged script so no counting of pills necessary, only needed to slap a sticker on the box. Never fun to sit in a lot of 45 mins longer than estimated when you're sick and get an attitude like the customer is being a pain showing up at the establishment at all. All and all I never have a good experience here. read more

Don't honor advertised prices on Walgreen Website. Really? The Website directs you to the store and the "backroom" manager doesn't come out. He does tell the clerk that "We don't honor advertised pricing from our own Website". BTW. Had to dig the clerk out from the back room also. No help in the store at all. read more
