After waiting on hold for 30 minutes the staff member answered very rudely and made it very clear that I was the problem. This pharmacy texted me for over a week telling me my prescription was being processed. I was without my medicine and feeling very unhealthy. Their automated system kept telling me it was being processed. I kept waiting until I had to leave the state for family problems. The new pharmacy I called answered right away and told me that this walgreens had already filled the prescription and I needed to have them transfer it. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes this walgreens finally answered. I told the pharmacist that I really needed help with a prescription and her response was, "Ok...". After telling her what she needed to do to help me find my prescription she told me that it was not there and that "I never should have called them," and the pharmacy there should know what they're doing. I wish I could have gotten this pharmacists name because I believe she does not know what she is doing. Their system is obviously broken and does not tell you correct info about your medicine. And when you try to fix it you are answered with poor customer service. DO NOT WASE YOUR TIME OR JEOPARDIZE YOUR HEALTH AT THIS PHARMACY. This is not the first time this has happened to me here. It will be the last because I will travel further for a more reliable pharmacy. read more

This pharmacy is absolutely useless and should be regulated by the state and sued. They don't answer the phone; the personnel are useless; and English is their third language. Well, I called in my prescription, and a half hour later, my parol officer appeared at my door. I was arrested for a very serious parol violation and spent the next two years back in prison. When I was finally released and got back home, I went to Walgreens to pick up that prescription they said was ready. When I got there, they said it was still being filled - two years later. I go to this pharmacy only out of proximity to home, and hope for the best each time. Sometimes it works out in under an hour, once in a while no cars are in line and it's relatively painless, other times I have a long wait inside or outside to read on my phone. Staff seems apathetic and lethargic. The front register clerk with the beard is the bigger reason why I don't care to go back. He's usually not friendly but recently he was extremely rude almost bordering on verbally abusive. He got agitated when I was putting in my credit card (at a normal pace, not slowly) and yelled out of nowhere "why are you so slow" and reached over to the pay pad that I was using to pay with a credit card and punched a couple of buttons. That messed up the transaction, and he huffed that he had to start over. I went to Rite Aid across town the next time and the employee at the register was so pleasant and polite. read more

This review applies to the pharmacy only. I have gone there for over 30 years and until recently was happy with them. In the last 6-8 months, the pharmacy has been very difficult to reach or even to even talk to. They are understaffed, overwhelmed and at times they are difficult to even deal with. There are lines inside as well as in the drive through. I really hate to give up on them but it has gotten to be way too frustrating. Right now I'm on hold (as they did not have enough to fill my prescription last week and I'm trying to see if they do now.) I have been put on hold and have been re-put on hold 5 times which has prompted me to write this. I will be switching pharmacies this week. I've never even written a bad review of anywhere before. read more

I called today to ask if my disposable cameras were ready for pickup. After alternating between being on hold and talking to a staff member, I was randomly hung up on. I called back and told the next staff member I talked to that my last call had ended suddenly and asked again about my cameras. The staff member replied with, "Ugh, fine" and put me on hold. I was then hung up on once again. Walgreens customer service should treat customers with more respect in the future. read more

Worst service ever at the pharmacy! There is usually a long line, the workers do not operate with a sense of urgency. Four customers showed up as soon as the pharmacy was supposed to open and all pharmacists came late, and took their time setting up. Then I found that a prescription they texted to say was ready was lost and they had to redo. Finally 20 min later I got my prescriptions. After a number of issues like this, I'm switching away to Alto, no more Walgreens. read more

Whatever had changed in this stores management, it has made shopping a TERRIBLE experience. The pharmacy seems jammed with employees, but always at least a day behind. Don't go to pick up your medicine without calling, it won't be worked On until you call. Seriously. Wow....just wow. Heed everyone else's warnings and 1 star reviews. This place is a nightmare. Spent an hour and 20 minutes there trying to pick up a rx I've been waiting 2 weeks for them to fill. You 100% have to be your own advocate at this pharmacy bc they could not care less about you or your health. I've called every day and waited at the very least 20 minutes on hold each time only to be told something different every day. Incompetent doesn't even begin to describe this place. They manage to screw up my order every single time. Now let's talk about customer service... Rude, uncaring, insensitive, constantly blaming the customer for their own shortcomings and mistakes, rude, unorganized, understaffed, did I mention rude? After I nearly lost it after the pharmacist walked away from me while I was mid sentence for the 5th time, one of the employees told me they have a lot of new staff. I asked him if that was my problem and he said yes. I started to laugh at that point. There is no excuse for this level of idiocy, especially for something as sensitive as prescriptions. Literally every customer in line had an issue with their order in the hour and 20 minutes I was there. Worst Walgreens EVER. I cannot get a RX in any less than three visits. I called in a refill and was told it would be ready at 10am, went to pick it up at 11 and was told, "not ready-come back". So I returned at 1:15pm, fully aware that they close between 1:30 and 2pm for lunch and they were already closed! I asked the manager why and she said, "sometimes they take off early" not her fault!! Really? I think it IS the manager's fault if all of the employees take off early for lunch regularly! The RX prior to this...I was told that the cost of my generic RX that is usually $50 would be $200 "because I had already reached my out of pocket max" - when I explained that made no sense, if I have reached my out of pocket max then this RX should be FREE, she re-read the words on the screen..."it'll be $200 because you've reached your out of pocket maximum" How can this person be trusted to fill medication bottles?? Finally,...to top it all off, I got a letter in the mail from my insurance co. saying that the medicine on the label may not be what was in the bottle and to contact my pharmacy! When I did - the pharmacist said, "don't worry that didn't apply to your RX" She didn't even ask my name or which RX!! NO FAITH IS THESE PEOPLE...stay clear. read more

Update: KRON 4 News just had a newscast about a fake pharmacist working at Bay Area stores. It's scary to think Walgreens doesn't know who is working for them. This could explain the bad service. This also makes me very nervous knowing they have given me the wrong prescription. It's not very often that I give a bad review on Yelp but when you get consistent bad service every month when you pick up your prescription at the pharmacy, other people should know. How is it possible that the same prescription that I pick of each month can get messed up in a different way every time I go to the pharmacy. The pharmacist that was filling in today was very rude and unprofessional. I had to speak with the store manager who agreed that they were not following procedure. This is scary to think that these people are giving out medication and handling prescriptions that could potentially harm you. Went there for prescribed medication, waited in line for 20 minutes then they could not find the prescription. I showed them my phone with doctor's messages to me and they finally found the prescription. Told me it would be another 20 minutes. Two days later I went back hoping it would be ready. Another 20 minutes in line only to find that prescription was still not ready. Stood there and waited until they put the ten tablets in a jar. Ridiculous. read more

This is the worst pharmacy in existence. I came home from the hospital today. My surgeon had called in a prescription. At 10:30 this morning my prescription was "still processing." At 6 pm it is "still processing." I tried to call, but after being on hold for an inordinate amount of time, they disconnected. Shame on all of you! This is abusive. read more

Be careful that they check your insurance for new prescriptions. I asked 3 times and the new employee never bothered to apply my insurance, even though she said she did. I paid $206 for a $10 prescription co-pay. Now I have to fill out paperwork to get back the $196 overpayment from the insurance company. Always a long wait. It's a nice store they just can't seem to get competent employees. When I asked for my money back, they told me I had to do it myself. While I was in surgery too much time had elapsed. Had it not been for my second prescription I would never have known about the overpayment. Walgreens in SF told me Mill Valley never applied my insurance. Pharmacies are supposed to know how to do that. read more

Avoid at all costs. Lexi is the RUDEST person I have ever encountered. We brought our baby in to pick up photos, paid for them and then in the craziness that always accompanies doing anything with a baby walked out without the photos. I called as soon as we got home and LEXI tried to tell me that we never paid for them and if we wanted them we'd have to pay again. I explained that it was listed as pending on my husband's amex and she said in an incredibly rude tone that "they had no record of that so we'd have to pay again" and then HUNG UP ON ME. I was shocked at the terrible customer service in the pharmacy. I had an appointment for a shingles vaccine, spend 36 min at the pharmacy, but never got the vaccine. I started by waiting 10 min to be helped. There were 6 people working in the pharmacy, but the delay was no one helping clients in the stores. Once someone started to help me, she spent 15 min filling out paperwork and continually telling me that with only the main insurance card, she could not find the medication portion of my insurance. I requested that I pay for the vaccine so that I could get the shot and move on. This is when she realized that she had filled out the paper work with the wrong name. Another 10 min was spent correcting the paperwork and her happy discovery that she could find my insurance once she looked under the correct name. I have now been at the pharmacy for 36 min to get the shingles vaccine I had an appointment for. This is when the clerk speaks to the pharmacist and tells me that they don't actually have any vaccines. This is when everyone in line behind me started to voice their frustration in the total waste of time. Why did they set the appointment? Why did they spend all of that time filling out useless paper work. Why could the person be holding my insurance card for 15 min before realizing that she was searching for a completely different name. read more

Five star rating to pharmacy. After I was fed up with the runaround my own doctors office gave me on travel immunizations, I called around and got this place. Unlike the 4 days sit and wait game with One Medical, this place confirmed the vaccines over the phone they had in stock and told me to come on in. The transaction was longer than expected, but how can I complain as a walk-in patient. After sitting here for the last 20-30 min watching all the techs work, all I can say is they are non-stop working. They may not have the perky friendliness but they are seriously non-stop working and moving the lines (plus drive-thru!). I'm very impressed. I've seen some places literally drag their feet doing the zombie walk. Pharmacy team working "now" - you are awesome! read more

I'm a regular customer of Walgreen's pharmacies. The Mill Valley Walgreen's pharmacy is the WORST I have encountered. On multiple occasions when I've chosen this location to fill prescriptions because of its proximity to my home, I have had a negative, disappointing, and completely inconvenient experience. They seem to ALWAYS be understaffed with no sense of urgency to fill prescriptions in a timely manner. Today at 10:00am, I physically handed the pharmacist clerk several new prescriptions from my doctor. I was told they'd be ready for pick-up by 12:30pm. I arrived at 3:00pm to get them and stood in a line 8 people long (not including those in the drive-thru). When I got to the counter I was told only 1 prescription had been filled - 5 hours later. I drove home instead of waiting and as I pulled into my garage 30 minutes later I received an automated call that the prescriptions were ready. There were no apologies, explanations, or effort to prioritize filling the remaining prescriptions when I stood at the counter. I think this time i've learned my lesson to NEVER use this pharmacy again. read more

This Walgreens Pharmacy used to be quite good, but in the last 8 months it has fallen apart. The pharmacy clerks are barely trained and seem like they last worked as pizza delivery people. I had to spell my last name, 6 letters, 4 times for the drive through pharmacy clerk. She had me wait an hour for a prescription they had to order with a two day delivery turnaround. After 1 hour and 17 minutes, I had to give my information to 3 people to finally find out they never had the medication to give me. This pharmacy is a disaster. I'm moving my prescriptions to a pharmacy that has its act together. And, that's clearly not this one. read more

The worst pharmacy I have ever been too! I honestly don't complain at all unless it's something awful and sorry the pharmacy sucks here. Some of the staff are awesome but they are horribly disorganized-I show up-after I receive a phone call that my prescription is ready to pick up-I had called it in three days before to make more than sure it would be ready and it's not. Then they argue with me that I didn't get a call that it was ready, etc. Well I had the voicemail. In the past I've had issues-they can't find my name, they can't verify my information-it's been one problem after another and I actually worry that even the prescription they fill isn't even correct! Your typical Walgreens store.It used to be on my way to work, so if I were ever in need of drug store items, I'd stop in here. Now, I tend to visit every once in awhile because they take transit benefit checks so I'll trade those in and fill my clipper cards. Seasonal selection is usually pretty big, but is generally ransacked before Halloween. Also, they sometimes run out of things, especially in summer, because it's right on the way to Muir Woods, so everyone seems to stop here. read more

The pharmacy at this Walgreens has the worst service I've ever experienced. If you Dr. sends the Prescription electronically, it will take 2+ hours for them to fill it. Bring in a paper prescription? I totally concur with other recent reviews describing their experiences with this pharmacy (esp. ones by Pete R [11/4/22], Steve T [10/28/22], Justin J [11/21/22], and Candace B [11/13/22]). I have very similar experiences with each of these reviews. One star is still overly generous in rating this place's incompetence and unprofessional culture. Nothing functions, and they do not seem to make any effort to improve it. The auto-refill system never works- I call them and wait in the long call line. When I eventually get my turn to speak, the line hangs up. Calling back, starting from the end of the cue of the waiting line, when I eventually get hold of the staff, she/he never recognizes the issue, and of course, my refill there, even though the online portal says it has been refilled. I winded up having a lapse in my hypertension medication (I ran out of the pills because they failed to refill). I have determined to switch my pharmacy as my life cannot depend on an utterly incompetent place like this. read more

The Department of Health should shut this pharmacy down and an enterprising attorney should bring a class action suit against it for deceptive billing practices. It is understaffed and the staff is rude and inattentive. Customers should consider Express Scripts or CVS. Perhaps more negative reviews would bring about needed changes. Go elsewhere. read more

Anyway called to check when my pics would be ready no one answered the photo department therefore I got transferred to the next available department girl answered I told her no what I needed and she said let me transfer u to photo I said well I got transferred here because no one answered and then she said ok and put me on hold again!
