As much as I enjoy earning points, I also need to spend cash on stuff. Today's visit was to hit up the Allpoint ATM at this Walgreens and pick up a cold bottle of water from the cooler. Easy. The store is laid out the same as others. it was well stocked, clearly marked prices and the cashier welcomed me to Walgreens when I entered. The parking lot is clean and clear of trash. I use to love the pharmacy staff and great treatment I received,l when Mark was here. He addressed everything in a calm, courteous and kind manner. Now the pharmacy staff continues to be rude, obnoxious, and hostile, particularly Shawn. Sarcastically and loudly asked if I am here for drugs?! I did not misunderstand. Plenty of parking. Had everything I needed. Would be nice if they had self checkout registers

It's like all the others. I got this habit that I need to review at least once everyplace I've checked into on Yelp. Well what can I point out about Walgreens that you don't know? You can just read all my other Walgreens' reviews. I can point out that the entrance into the parking lot can be tricky. It's right after a busy intersection so if your making a left turn you might hold up traffic. There's plenty of parking spots and a drive-thru pharmacy. Inside, it's the standard layout: cashiers against one side of the wall, beauty supplies against the other wall. Pharmacy in the back corner and frozen and refrigerator section along the wall between the pharmacy and cashier. They got snacks, cheap plastic toys, and pet supplies. I like this place because it's convenient and usually 24hrs. This place isn't. Overall four stars. You can just get what you want and leave except past 10pm when they lock the doors for the night. I have used this pharmacy for decades. Today was my last day using them. Over the past year their customer service and support on medications has seriously declined. Four examples: 1. When I hot a vaccination last fall, the staff was not masked initially. I had to ask them to follow DOH required protocols for the vaccination. This concerned me, but I had other things to worry about, and it was a one off that I attributed to pandemic related staffing and training issues. 2. They are unable to consistently process my debit card through their payment system. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. Since I try to keep all medical expenses on one account, it is more than merely annoying. It is totally arbitrary whether their payment system works or not, but they say there is nothing they can do or blame the bank (they are big on blaming others). Last week it worked, today it did not again. 3. When my wife was diagnosed with diabetes, we had to start regular testing. They did not mention the test would be once a day, I was under the impression it was two a day. They did not catch that when I went to refill the test strips. They said they needed a new prescription. I had her doctor send over a prescription, and they rejected it for not having one piece of information they could have easily added themselves from our records. I went back to the PCP, had them send a new prescription. I called the pharmacy back and they said they had it but it was too late in the day to call Medicare. (They had previously told me the deadline was later). I went back Monday at 1 in the afternoon, and they had still not called Medicare, saying they were too busy to be on hold with Medicare. So they still had not checked, even though they told me to come back "that morning" . Later that day they checked and told me it was "too soon" (they did not cross check times/day the blood should be tested when looking at the scrip. It would have told them what the problem was. When I asked them what I could do, the manager said "nothing" and told me to come back in two months. They did not even offer to sell me the strips at retail. I went to Amazon and bought them myself. 4. They keep losing prescriptions (I think it is their computer system). One the drugs is highly controlled, needs to be reviewed by a doctor every six months. A refill was sent in April by the doctor, but they have no record of it. He does. It had refills for six months. When I went to refill it for my wife before leaving to see family they said it had expired. Not correct. Specialist out of town, so on Thursday last I took her to PCP, who ensured she had a supply to get through the week. Then contacted the specialist by email, who called in a full month two days later, over the weekend. When I tried to have the month refill, they rejected as being too soon. The manager told me they were submitted on the same day, which is false. The short supply was filled before the month supply was called in. The short supply was called in 7/21, covered four days. The month order was was placed on 7/23, received 7/25, four days later. Today, 7/28, they told me it was still too soon to fill the month, also false. They just did not bother to resubmit. Manager again (without checking) told me it was too soon. She started raising her voice to me, telling me "I was not the only patient", discussing her issues with her husband having a stroke (my wife needs someone home with her almost all the time), and saying I was an "Unruly customer". She has shown a similar lack of communication skills in previous encounters. The pharmacy staff is mostly new and rotating quite often. Not like it was a few years ago. I am switching to Matt's Local Pharmacy, where you talk to people, not computers. You should too. read more

I tried to get my insulin prescription filled. I recieved the wrong type of needles due to a pharmacy error. When I explained that i wasnt comfortable using a vial and syringe to administer my insulin, as I've been diabetic for 15 years, and never used it in the past, he told me "It isn't that big of a deal, dude, just use those needles", and did not help me. I am switching to CVS today. read more

I have to give one star because it gives me no other choice to give zero. My issue is not with the store itself however, with the work associate who is hearing impaired. She is very racist! We walked into walgreens, my husband is black and another group of black people walked in as well. She immediately called for security to walk the store. As my husband and I are getting ready to check out, she did not see my husband next to me at all. She tells the other associate to check the bathroom, the lady asked why? It's because the other group of black Americans are still in the store. She then proceeded to say she needs to go to bathroom and If she doesn't come back to please look for her. That whole situation is uncalled for and very racist! She should not be working with customers if that's the case! We are in 2022 racism should not still be existing at all and all because the colour of someone's skin makes them a threat! My husband felt very uncomfortable and the crazy thing my husband's serve's our country fighting for the same exact lady who hates or intimidated by his skin colour. I will make sure to let the military community page know about this situation because we are not the only multicultural families that are currently stationed here. I will take my service else where and it doesn't bother me to drive. However, this walgreens location is not a location we want to support with our hard earned money for the ugliness of the associate. read more

I shop at this store at least once a week and realized today that I'd never written a review. I've never had a bad experience in this store, I've dealt with the pharmacy for years and have always gotten friendly and helpful customer service, I've had pictures printed on occasion and same thing, awesome customer service and the cashiers up front are also helpful and friendly. On the rare occasion I've needed help finding something, I've never had a problem finding a friendly employee to point me in the right direction. The store is always clean and well stocked, even the sale items and if you need to rent a DVD or a game, there is a Red Box machine right outside and I believe they also have propane for gas grills. I used to work right down the street and whenever someone was looking for a drug store, this is the store I'd send them to, even though there are 2 other ones in the same vicinity. read more

Dana Farber sent data for 4 prescriptions to be filled last week. Three were filled and I picked them up. Yesterday night I left a message to Walgreen questioning when the 4th would be filled. Today (Tuesday) the pharmacy rep told me it was on hold and she did not know why. Apparently it would remain on hold with no action being taken on it. I went to the pharmacy today and they filled it while I was there. They again reported that they had no idea why it was on hold. read more

Went in to get formula for my baby. Sat there and pushed the button for what seemed like hours. The lady working at the cash register in the front was swamped and kept calling for Mary for assistance. Mary never came. Finally just gave up and at the front I ask if there's no one to help with the formula, the lady at the register tells me I wasn't pushing the button so it's not their fault. Meanwhile Mary was just chatting the entire time I was standing around trying to get food for my baby. Never again. read more

The Store Manager Grace is fantastic. As an Owner of a small business and a Photographer, copy write issues can be a problem. I gave my client her images and rights to the images taken of her Wedding. In all of my years Grace is the only person to ever check and ask to make sure someone had permission and was not sterling property by printing out the images. I thank her tremendously for looking out for small businesses, her extensive knowledge and professionalism. You rock Grace!! read more
