I'm so happy that there's a Sephora near South County because I'm able to buy all my favorite items and I can shop online pick up in store but items are not available online but they are available for pick up. Finally had that chance to go into Sephora without my toddler and wanted to take my time looking at the skin scare products before I purchased a moisturizer. They happened to be in the back of the store and not ONCE was I asked by an employee if I needed help. However, about 4 different employees made sure to peek at me from the side of the shelves and immediately walk away. I found this very off putting and almost didn't want to spend my money with them. For the most part, I like shopping at Sephora normally, they have good sales reps there. The workers are knowledgeable in the products once in a while you will encounter a sales rep who has a bad attitude that will look you up and down and act like for some reason, they are in the movie, pretty woman and act like they don't want to help you. The best advice I've received about makeup as an African-American woman was from someone that worked at Sephora about getting lighter makeup for darker skin to put under my eyes. It was an epiphany for me and I have used that advice ever since and it has really done wonders for how I have used makeup ever since for lightning my eyes and making them pop. I have been to Sephora all over the country from the East Coast to the West Coast out north and south from Texas to Boston, North Carolina, so Sephora is a place that I do recommend folks to go if you get a rep who is disrespectful just simply write a review and get their name and call them out. Just moved to the area and was checking out what was nearby and was happy to see a Sephora! It's a bit smaller than most Sephoras I've been to but the service was great and one of the gals working there helped me out on ordering a perfume that they didn't have in store but had online. They say dogs are a mans best friend...I think Sephora is a girls best friend.... It's definitely one of my favorite stores, because they are a one stop shop! You want make up, perfume, skin or hair products? They have all that and more! Even though this was a smaller store I still got my needs met and left a lot poorer. I love that Sephora consistently has great customer service and it's rare if I'm ever let down. They have a wonderful return policy. If you forget your receipt they can look up your items on your Sephora Beauty Insider card. Also, if you didn't like a product once you tried it they will still return it for you. This location was pretty cool because it's located next to the beach and they had different reward gifts for your points. When you buy products with Sephora and are a beauty insider member (its free) you accumulate points for gifts. Usually Sephora only has one item to redeem for the 500 points category but this location had a bunch! This may not sound important to some people, but I know you girls are listening! Got a makeover by Mish. So professional and my skin feels like I don't even have makeup on. The store is cleaned and we'll stocked for the holiday season. While in town for a performance I needed some concealer and of course Sephora was my go-to spot! This location was much smaller than what I am used to in NYC but it had all exactly what I needed in a pinch. This Sephora was clean and organized. The staff didn't really help me with what I was looking for but they were very nice at the checkout. If I am ever in Boston again I would return to this location. read more

My family came into town for a wedding in Newport and my mother in law and myself wanted to get our makeup done and it's so much more worth it to get your makeup done when you get it with your product purchase. Keisha (I think this is how she spells it but it is pronounced KAY-sha) did an incredible job on both of us. Two completely different looks and she took into account our opposite skin types and recommended great products for us. I ended up getting the Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette, an Anastasia matte lipstick, and Caudelie's overnight oil. She made my super dry skin look absolutely luminous and healthy I was so incredibly shocked. She was so friendly and had an awesome sense of humor it was a pleasure being around her. read more

During a recent visit to the Newport location I found the store to be disorganized and somewhat dirty. I had a consultant approach me and had a quick make over. Several days after leaving the store, I started to notice my eye was getting red and itchy. After a visit to the DR, I was told I had pink eye. I cant say for sure it was from the consultants make up brushes, but i didn't have any other explanations. I contact the manger, who brushed me off and said it couldn't be. I have been a customer of Sephora for many years. Never experienced this before. Of course, I will continue to purchase my beauty products from Sephora, but will omit any other make overs- read more
