The pharmacy here is a necessary evil and each visit gets worse. Short staffing often applies and lack of any employee empathy. This Sunday morning at 10am we arrived after a visit to clinic at 9am. Wife is visibly ill and nobody else in store. We got H....y whom as scripts and offered a two hour wait. She the belted out , I have 44 scripts waiting. Now a sick patient is in lobby , nobody else is even waiting, and you cannot offer any help or a reasonable 10-20 minute wait. 2 full hours ??? When we came back at 1pm to pickup the scripts Ms H....y has turned her name tag backwards and hiding the complaint. She apologizes 1/2 assed and suggests there is noting more she can do. Umm ... yes you could, and have to wonder if you placed us in same place you would be while ill, if you would be so kind to wait almost 3 hours because Walgreens Pharmacy cannot staff effectively and you lost all concern to help. read more

A pharmacy manager made an arbitrary change to a years-long existing policy of refilling pain medication, every 28-days. Impacting countless pain management patients without regard for their well-being. My wife has MS. The pharmacy manager displayed an uncaring attitude, and to make matters worse, a technician falsely claimed to be the manager prior. This level of dishonesty and lack of compassion is unacceptable. DO NOT use this walgreens as they always lie and hold up my prescriptions as well they know that I have been on the same meds well over 15 years, but this one in Margate is the worst of the worst. The staff sucks as well all of the in the pharmacy are communist I feel as they enjoys watching people go thru pain. Just last week on December 24 this poor elderly lady had only one of her pills left and one man stated that she is early to pick it up so she continued telling he that he was wrong and of course he was then told her to have a seat while he works on it. For the past couple days I've been after hair color in every Walgreens around my area, and I believe they must be going through some cosmetics resetting because the particular brand I am looking for is nowhere to be found! I wouldn't normally drive to this Walgreens but desperate times call for desperate measures. Other than that this Walgreens was very nice. It is super clean and neat and I was greeted at the door which isn't normally the case at any Walgreens I have been to. It is located on 441 in the corner of total Creek Drive. Pharmacy is incompetent. Refused to see my insurance card or rx card when i offered. Had rx delay for nearly 2 hours so I called. They were thank goodness you called we are having issues with your insurance! Then why didnt you call me? So they had the wrong rx card and insurance on file and I need to go to another pharmacy which will now take another day to get filled. Im super nauseous and dehydrated due to the pregnancy and the meds are for that. Now I must wait another day just cause they didnt want to verify while i was there even though i offered! Great location right across from Penn dutch and the youfit gym. Plenty of parking has handicap as well. Has a pharmacy with a drive thru and walk in, always quick and fast service. If you do shop at Walgreens make sure to be a member because you can get some great deals. read more

**WORST PHARMACY EVER!** Again.. I thought I would try Walgreen's since it is closer.. bad idea! Gave them new insurance card (that I got this year).. that I have used at Publix 2 weeks ago.. no problem. .. get a voice mail saying there is a problem with my insurance..i had to call them back to find out what was wrong else I wouldn't have gotten my meds.. they said my insurance was expired. I'm like wtf.. handle your job.. get your shit together.. that was 2 years prior card u have on file! I gave u the new one this morning. Someone dropped the ball again.. never again Walgreens! I come to this Walgreens because it's across the street from the grocery store I normally shop at. Conveniently located on the corner of Northwest 31st Street also called Coral Bay Boulevard and 441. I know the layout of the store I know where the clearance items are I know they carry my brand of cigarette and the majority of the time I know the workers by name so it always seems like a nice place to stop while I'm out running around doing errands. I like to go to different Walgreens because there's always something different at each store it seems, like today, I saw the Valentine's Day peeps. I didn't know peeps came in Valentine shaped hearts? Now I do. Yes you could say they're rushing it a little bit seeing that it's only the 12th day of January and Valentine's Day is a good month away butt Walgreens has you covered even down to the marshmallow peep. The pharmacy customer service is terrible. The pharmacist who works Sunday nights is rude and wouldn't fill my prescription bc she would have to stay 2 minutes pasted 6 pm and she said Walgreens doesn't pay her to stay late. Really!!! So you don't make enough to stay 2 extra minutes. Instead she said to drive 15 minutes to the 24 hour one when I'm Already there. Don't spend your money there. Go to publix! read more

I used to come here 2 years ago. Staff was helpful, quick, and very pleasant. Today, let's see... I have been here for over an hour and 20 min. Still waiting. I've spoken to a pharmacist and then been asked to sit and "it's just going to be a few more minutes" four times. Oh and by the way I have seen a total of 2 customers at the time max since I've been here so it would be hard to claim that they are overwhelmed. When the pharmacist opens the conversation after reading your prescription with "where else have you tried to fill this" you know they don't have your medicine AGAIN! Not sure about anyone else but I am having an increasingly difficult time getting basic prescriptions filled. This one was a cough medicine for congestion. Last time it was an antibiotic. Husband and I went into Wallgreens earlier today inquired about a flu shot I waited for a little bit but then it got to be ridiculous I went up and I didn't ask but I possibly have the papers to fill out and there was just this woman on and this gentleman that what is it in as people enter leaves and homework and getting her prescriptions ready I was fine after 15 minutes but then wait another 10 minutes was totally ridiculous so I decided I was just gonna leave it as usual with Wallgreens you wait and wait and wait well I don't think will ever go into Walgreens I'm surprised still opened I wish them the best of luck but I never shop there again it's a dump the people don't care and it shows and it's sad because it was once a good Walgreens but that was years ago read more

My 33 year old daughter went into this store to buy 2 packs of cigarettes. An idiot Indian clerk/manager demanded to see her ID. She presented him with her Driver's License which expired 10 days ago! He refused to sell her cigarette and when she told him she forgot to renew the license but it still showed her correct date of birth, he not only refused to sell her the cigarettes but also demanded that she leave the store. She came back to the car and told me what had happened. She certainly does not look that young, but ok, maybe he was just being careful? So I went in to purchase the items. I am 73 years old with a white beard and a balding head. When I tried to make the purchase, he refused to wait on me and motioned that I should go to the very young girl cashier. I did and then he blurted out that she must check my ID! I turned to him and said it is plain to see that I am far past the age of 21. You could see that he was simply on a power trip. He ordered me out of the store! I told him to call a cop!!! He demanded that I show id or get out!!!!! So I told him in no uncertain terms what he could do with himself!!! I will never go to a Walgreen's again!!!!! If the help is underpaid, cannot use common sense and must be on power trips, they can lose as many customers as they want to insult!!! read more

The Pharmacy is overloaded, they either do not have the medication in stock and you have to wait till the next day, or they have the medication I need but they constantly have to refer back to the doctor and wait for them to respond, or the insurance company needs to authorize. Tonight they had the prescriptions but they had not bothered to fill them because they are waiting on the insurance company. The thing it, the kid that is the "tech"???? told me to wait while he let the pharmacist look over the scrip, he comes back and says it is all good and I can pick up tonight. . I KNOW ALREADY that one of them I have to pay for out of pocket. So when I returned tonight, they now informed me that the insurance company rejected the payment. Like I said, I knew they would and would pay for it out of pocket. But he now tells me it will not be ready for another hour. They had nearly 8 hours to get it ready. The number of times I have been able to get a scrip filled without a hassle is maybe 1 out of 10 and that is no joke. They are next to a major hospital, either get yourself more staff Walgreens or stick to selling cigarettes and get out of the drug business. I need a new pharmacy. I had to give them 1 one star but even that is being generous. read more

I stopped there this evening to pick up a prescription that I confirmed ahead of time was called in and it was the only location I could pick up the prescription prior to vacation otherwise it's normally mail order. The pharmacy was very busy and understaffed. I waited patiently in line and when I got to the front they informed me they couldn't find the prescription. I was then told they had 8 prescriptions in the system that they would check, and to step aside until they took care of the line. Well, given the time of day, the line was not going anywhere so I sat for over 30 mins waiting.... during this time I watched the pharmacist yell at a technician in front of everyone. I finally decided to get up and back in line to basically be yelled at and told they already checked and it's not there. Needless to say I wasted 30 mins sitting there but apparently no one was going to inform me they looked into it. If you're looking for customer service, this is not the place! I can say I'm glad this is not my normal pharmacy. Let's hope tomorrow when I have to go back as I need the prescription, I have a better experience. read more
