I am a Sally Beauty Supply fan back from the days when I used to do my own hair and helped friends, too. And experimented with all different colors -- I've been a bleach blond, Tiny Tim auburn red color, and chestnut brown. Lately I've been treating myself to professional care, but still try to do my roots myself. My hair grows very fast and now that I'm much older so does my gray hair (eek!). I have to do my roots more often that I could afford if I went to a salon every couple of weeks. Recently, I noticed that my gray hair is not taking the color as it used to so I asked a stylist at the shop where I get my nails done what she would recommend. And that's why I stopped by this Sally's store when in the area. The store was immaculate. It's one I'd never been to, nor had I ever been to this specific shopping center of stores. But I found the store online. The store was very well stocked, except of course for the exact product I was looking for...Luckily the gal staffing the store had a suggestion which was to choose the next to color -- but the lighter one. Which is what I bought (Just fyi, I loved the color). This isn't a store I would usually shop at, but based on the service and the cleanliness, I'd certainly return if nearby. read more

Sally's is my go to for beauty supplies that I can't find elsewhere. Their nail polish has gotten very expensive. The selection was limited. They did not have what I was looking for. The staff is always helpful and very knowledgeable.This store is very small. It is located in the same center as Joann Fabrics, Home goods and Best Buy just off Sample Road in Margate. The usually have a nice selection of hair accessories if you need any for a fancy event. They also sell high end commercial grade electrical hair equipment. I primarily shop here for my daughter's manic panic voodoo blue hair color. I signed up for the Sally rewards card so I usually have a coupon to use. I am not a big fan of their knockoff hair care line. The stores are somewhat cramped as well. That said they always have the one thing I need in stock and I can get in and out quickly. read more

Went this afternoon at 5:48 carrying my toddler as she sleeps, got two items and went register , Cashier ijnored me turn around and stared doing something else with nail polishes as I'm standing there and she can see I'm struggling holding a baby , then after 2 min being ijnored , as she rang me out she didn't ask for my number as I always usually get asked to get discount and then she just proceed to put the items and receipt down in counter not in my hand. I truly don't like leaving bad reviews. My criteria is very simple. 3 stars for an average place, 4 for a better than most, and 5 if I've been blown out of the water. 1 stars are only reserved for those places which Have disappointed me so much, I'll never set foot in them again. Such is the case for this Sally's. I decided to go in and buy some hair dye. I've seen an ad on Hulu quite a bit advertising that someone will help you find your right shade. Well, coming into this very small store wasn't the great experience the ad promised. It was delivery day, so the back of the store was full of boxes spilling into the aisles. There were three sale associates and all of them were working on boxes. Which is OK. What is not OK, is they going on, and on about how they're going to crack down people who steal expensive items (yes, they described various scenarios how they'd do it too) while I was right there looking for hair color... I could have steal them blind! And so could have any customer. They were not even paying attention to the register. I finally went up to them (about 5 minutes after I first walked in) and asked about the hair color. Well, the girl asked me if I've ever used their products before, I said no, then she asked me to wait a minute while she took care of someone at the register. No big deal, that person had been there a couple of minutes too. Then she never came back, she asked another of the associates to help me. A guy came up, annoyed, and asked "Que pasa" I told him I needed help with the hair dye. At this point I'm feeling dismissed. He asked me what did I need help with, to which I just had it, told him "never mind, you are clearly busy and don't have time for me" to which he respond "Ok, whatever," not cool, not cool at all. I'm never coming back to this particular Sally's. There are way to many to put up with bad customer service. read more

In a hurry, I stopped in to get some information on a vivid color line I heard about since the professionals only beauty supply didn't have what I needed. The girl at the register said "hello" when I walked in. The other staff member (Luis) was in the color isle sitting on the floor stacking product? I thought, "Bonus! He will be able to answer my questions and I can be on my way". So, before I got to him he spotted me and went to the back for a minute and when I thought he was coming back to help me zoomed past me then to the register to talk to the cashier. Steee-rike two. I brought the color up to the front to ask them both if there was a developer to go with the color. Luis ignored my question and wanted to talk to the cashier about inventory. Almost as if he didn't hear me. The cashier answered my question with a " no." Meanwhile, a gentleman walked in and asked Luis where he can find razors. Luis pointed his thumb over his own shoulder. I guess that meant, Look behind me and get it yourself. Since I was in a hurry I thought I better just pay and leave and hopefully Google will be able to let me know if I purchased the right product. read more

hello, I was employeed with Sally Beauty about 4 weeks ago to location 3677. I was under the impression I would be assisting customers (as I am a professional hairstylist), ringing orders on POS and putting away stock from shipment. Unfortunately the expierence I had with store leader Mariana was unpleasant and unjustified. She was a dictator, not only did she delegate her managerial tasks among her associates...she took more unaccounted breaks than allowed. I reached out to district manager Marisol which was no help. I was looking to transfer locations but I was informed that wasn't an option. Highly disappointed with the values of the company as I was a frequent shopper before an employee. read more

I shop at Sally's beauty supply frequently for hair accessories, heated hair appliances and deep conditioning treatments. I also shop here for nail files and other implements. I wish I could have gotten the name of the person who helped me today at the store... He was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I recently decided to start letting my hair grow naturally curly instead of straightening it and I purchased a few products to help with the curls. Some I liked however some I needed to return and he made the process extremely easy and help me find what I was looking for in exchange. They have a very large selection of shampoo, conditioner, styling products, make up, nail polish, haircolor, and various other beauty supplies. They also have a generic brand that is a knock off of major salon products. This store is also located in a nice area and is kept very clean. I have been here multiple times and I've had good service every single time and I've always found what I'm looking for. Each time that I've been here and asked for help the person working there has always helped me find what it is I needed. read more

Really unprofessional staff. No wonder they're hiring. None of their staff including managers represent them well let alone professionally. Running errands and I stopped in, no greeting or anything because the manager and two associates were busy up front gossiping about customers. Let it be said this was not a quiet conversation but one you could hear in every corner of a store. And talking about people you tell associates to watch out for because you think they steal?? Thank good I don't know the people they are talking about because I wouldn't have told them and let things play out. No one is helpful. They ask you if you've found everything once you're up at the counter. Not while you're scouring their aisles. But that would require cutting down on their gossiping, HEAVEN FORBID. staff not helpful - actually rude! would give this store zero stars if possible. on my most recent visit (and last one to this store!) there were three employees behind the counter, talking with each other. no one greeted me when i came into the store, and i had to interrupt their conversation to ask them a question about where to find a product. they were visibly annoyed at being interrupted. one waved an arm toward the back of the store. i couldn't find what i needed and, as i left, i said that i was unable to find what i wanted and it would have been nice to have had some help. one of the employees said "you're supposed to ask". well, first: i had asked. second, when a customer says it would have been nice to have help, the correct response is to apologize and offer to help. these employees were clearly anti-customer, and only wanted to stand around and talk with each other. i asked to speak with a manager and was told that there was no manager on site. so i'm reviewing on yelp. incompetent plus rude is a bad combination. read more
