I would give this place negative stars if I were able. When calling to find the status of your prescriptions you can expect to be on hold forever. When dealing personally at the location you can also wait in line forever at times. We switched over to capsule pharmacy. They deliver on time,keep you posted on all your needs,plus they immediately contact you regarding prescriptions that need refilling soon. read more

This used to be my favorite pharmacy. So much so that when I moved 10 miles away I kept them. However, I am so done. In the last 6 attempts at getting refills, I have spent dozens of hours on hold. Never contacted when told they would, never filled when told it would be. This month has been 3 times on hold 2 days after it was called in. Ride bike 10 miles. Stand in line. Out of meds. Will fill in 2 days and call you. No call. On hold 3hrs 24min next day to prove a point. The next day 2 separate on hold times hr each, still no answer. Next morning, 45 min on hold they answer. Told me I have to call back in 2 hrs. I am like, wtf???! Shorthanded, I can understand, but this I don't. This isn't even the worst situation I have had since it's decline. I will be riding in, and this will also be the last time I ever use them. read more

I came here for my Covid booster shot. It was scheduled for 4pm, and I was stuck behind the train, so I was there about 3-4 minutes late. That barely mattered, since they were very much running behind. After waiting about 20 minutes while they prepared paperwork and did other things for other customers (which is itself fine), they told me that there was still someone ahead of me for the booster. This is when I really started to realize that there was no semblance of organization or efficiency. There was a snaking line beginning to form, so there must be some sort of understaffing and/or inefficiency going on at that point. I had to wait until 4:30 before I was called. Had I known I'd be so delayed, I would have made an appointment somewhere else. By then, the day was dragging on, and the rest of my day was delayed by the time I got home. I would give this one star, but the pharmacist who gave me my booster was super nice. I am not sure what kind of needle she used, but despite being an admitted wuss, I barely felt anything! Every time I come here it's at least a twenty minute wait for a pharmacist to even get to me. Every time inevitably they only partially give me my medications. News flash: I have a life and can't spend every waking hour at this god foresaken place. read more

This is my go-to Walgreens and it's perfectly fine in terms of cleanliness, organization, in-stock items, and cost. What makes this Walgreens special is the staff. Every single cashier is super pleasant, efficient, and helpful. Son was the cashier today and was so friendly. He looks like he truly enjoys his job. The camera counter staff has gone the extra mile for me, too, helping me find real film for an old-school film camera. Great team here. read more

The bathrooms are FILTHY. I'm shocked how disgusting and how unclean it was. There are black rings of mildew in the toilets and it seems like no one has cleaned the bathroom in years. Do not go to!!!! read more

Called on a prescription on the 16th they said it would be ready by 2pm, only to find that it couldn't be filled until the 17th and they never called me. Then when trying to fill it on the 20th, the "system was down" but they can't transfer it to another pharmacy. So I'm out of a prescription and there's no way I can fill it. While waiting, there was also an elderly gentleman who was asking the pharmacy questions regarding a topical medication. There were 3 people behind the desk and this poor man came up to ask questions 3 times and bringing up a box of what he found and they just kept saying he was in the wrong isle. No body offered to help him or show him what he needed. He was at least 80-90 years old and had trouble walking. read more

1 star for the pharmacy. This isn't the first frustrating encounter with them... I had a 5 pm appointment for a vaccine. A guy got there at the same time and stepped ahead of me in line to get to the window. We both waited 30 minutes. They took him first - turns out he had a 5:20 appointment (they never asked him what time his appointment was - I did). They should take people in the order of their appointments. And if even ONE person had said "Sorry for the wait" I would have been completely understanding. In all my various customer service facing jobs, I have never forgotten to treat people with a modicum of respect. You should try it, Walgreens. read more

Most incompetent,slow motion employees, I've ever had the misfortune to do business with on a regular basis.i would never use them ,only my insurance plan insists on choosing them. Today I had to wait an extra 15 minutes at opening,because they didn't have their cash registers ready with money! Truly incompetent.you also wait forever in their car pick up area. read more

This Walgreens has really improved in quality over the years. The shelves are stocked with sale items, employees are getting you to items you need if you can't find them, the pharmacy is providing much better service than in years past. For example an RX that was out of stock was obtained in 12-hours. Notification was then promptly delivered. Thank you Walgreens. read more

Okay so!! Where do I start. I love this Walgreens. The people are fantastic, granted I am a regular so I have gotten to know most of them. They are ALL great. Everyone who works on the front register, all awesome people. You need help, they are willing. They ask you how you are, they smile, and they are happy to be helping you. As a former Walgreens employee, I can vouch that this store and these people are doing something right!! Working customer service is not always as easy as this team makes it look!! read more

Normally, I would never think to review a Walgreens, but after a recent experience there, I feel that it needs to be shared: I ordered holiday cards from the Walgreens on Roosevelt Rd (225 Roosevelt Rd, Lombard) and they turned out great. After realizing that I needed more, I placed a "reorder". For some reason, they were sent to the other Walgreens in Lombard (309 W. St. Charles Rd) by accident. BE WARNED: whatever it is (the printer, the paper, both), the quality of pictures is WAY worse at the St. Charles Rd location! Pictures and cards come out on thinner paper, and they are much darker compared to the 225 Roosevelt location. The manager was nice enough and let me return them, and I placed another order at the 225 Roosevelt location and they turned out great. Overall - the people who work there are nice enough, it's a clean store, when I want a photo order, I won't be using this location. Random rant: their computer system is goofy - I have tried multiple times at the same store and at others to change my name and every time I go back to the store, it doesn't "stick" and I have to ask them to change it again. Not an issue in Pharmacy (different system), but photo orders always go under my maiden name. Not the end of the world, just annoying. read more

I came today because I needed something, I usually come in and there's not a welcome or nothing; I just mind my own business. But as I walked in there's was this lovely young lady at the register who welcomed us in. She was so kind, I didn't get to catch her name unfortunately. She was absolutely lovely. As I walked out she was so warm and wished me a good day. She deserves praise and recognition, not a lot of people are in such a good and kind mood in the morning. I've taken it upon me to pass on the kindness through this review. She's had a pretty white headband, and I'm not sure if I saw right but it seemed as if she didn't have an arm either. I cannot believe how bad the customer service is in the Pharmacy. I had a serious issue with my prescription being lost by the mail service and they were rude. In addition, they attempted to help me and made it far worse by changing the prescription to the store. I finally gave up and called the doctor for a whole new prescription and now drive to Costco. They must have gotten so big they don't feel they need to care about customers. Should have listened to my husband who stop going there months ago! Their pricing is high as well so they should give excellent service. read more
