My Walgreens' pharmacists close for lunch at 1:30pm. I'm well aware of this as I've been a customer at this location for 23 years. I respect those lunch hours and support the staff getting a breaks as it is a stressful job. I pulled to the drive up pickup window at 1:18 (yes, I checked because i knew the lunch break was near). I waited for two cars in front of me to pick up their prescriptions. When I reached the window it was 1:28pm according to my Apple iPhone. As i am making eye contact with the pharmacy employee she closed the window shade and put up the "Closed for Lunch" sign. As if I'm not even there. No "sorry can you come back after lunch", nor even an acknowledgment that I even existed. NO HUMANITY! I went inside to see the manager about it and the pharmacy staff was just coming out so i asked why did you close the window in my face if i was there before lunch break hours. One of them said "Oh that happens all the time!" Then she turned and left. Why do you allow a problem like this continue, and why do you allow your customers to be treated so poorly? This Walgreens is just as bad and worse than all the other Walgreens. Took over a week to get a prescription transferred for the time I was in KC then they didn't have it. In the meantime I had already returned home and had to have the script transferred back. Then they blamed it on the weather. Why people go here, no idea. My script prescription has been overdue for two weeks now. The lead pharmacist just completely disregarded me and put me on hold for another hour. They are nothing but a bunch of maggots. Our system is so hamstrung with stupid regulations that it has effected customer service and care. STOP leaving worthless messages on our phones. If you can't leave a detailed message regarding the actual status of a Rx, whether it's ready or if there is a problem filling it then what is the point? People at work can not usually answer their phones so when they see a message that merely states it was Walgreens calling but no detail then the action is a complete waste. NO...it is NOT a HIPAA violation to leave a detailed message if it is from provider/pharmacy to patient. You have our phone, it is verified, that "security" has already been established. Use critical thinking, logic and reason instead of following an idiotic algorithm. read more

this place and the other Walgreens not far from this one, is a joke and leaving this pharmacy is the best idea I could have. you would think they would realize customers are what keep the doors open but nope! they will send you a text saying it's ready and then go to pick up and it's not, happens to many times OR they are always out of stock. there are pharmacist that the attitude is of someone that hates customers and your bugging them to have to deal with you. read more

This place is the greatest! I have had to use this pharmacy on more than one occasion when Parkville failed epically. I won't even bother going to Parkville anymore I'll have my prescriptions sent to Liberty. It is well worth the drive! They are so fast, so knowledgeable, excellent customer service, and I believe they genuinely care about their customers. The Parkville store should be closed down until they can be properly trained by the staff in Liberty. The difference is Night and Day. read more

I don't understand a lot of the negative reviews for this Walgreens location. 24 hours and also refills the prescriptions fast. The employees have always been pleasant and friendly. I called ahead as I have a hard to find prescription. The same prescription I've had since 2002 when myself and my husband were hit head on by a semi truck and almost killed. I have injuries that keep me in and out of the hospital as well as waiting on a kidney transplant since I lost a kidney as well as several Other organs and broke almost every bone in my body. I was told by the day staff that they pulled up my history, I gave them the Doctors info and they called to verify the prescription for my same pain medication and left the pharmacist a note that they taped for him near the phone telling him they indeed had verified it as well as checked to see if they had enough. I needed to come to liberty to fill it as I was leaving on a flight to Texas at 6:30 the next morning and I would be in to pick it up at midnight on my way to the hotel near the airport. I was told it would be fine to come on in by the helpful day shift pharmacist . When I arrived I was told by the night shift that it was the policy of Walgreens not to fill Narcotics until 8:00 am and he wouldn't do it even after I explained it all and told him I drove over an hour to get it. The store manager was in the pharmacy loading a money drawer and we were in the private "consultation" area she kept chiming in that they had been robbed and for all she Knew my posey could becoming behind me to rob them as they have been robbed before. I have no posey as I am 44 yrs old and was with my aunt. She said they don't have to fill it for all she knew I was a drug seeker " I use to be an attorney but because of my head injury from the accident I no longer practice but I do know that when you are in a consultation with the pharmacist that there are HIPPA laws that grant you privacy as this women was clearly wearing a vest for a manager and not the appropriate blue apron for medical or certified pharmacy techs and was violating my privacy by not stepping away after I asked her to please not violate my HIPPA rights that I'd like to speak to the pharmacist alone. She called me a drug seeker and told me she would have me arrested if I didn't leave when I offered to have my doctor who was waiting up if they needed to speak with him because of the shift change. I have been filling with them for the sane medication for nearly 15 years. I explained and pointed at the note clearly left for him she again jumped in and asked me to leave as they didn't service drug addicts and would call the police. I again asked for privacy to speak with the DR. Of pharmacology which she clearly was not. I do not get my direction from an unlicensed worker and felt that she clearly didn't need to be involved as he didn't ask her to intervene. She again called me a drug addict and told me I had no right to be on that medication or had no right to fill it at midnight even though I'd be traveling in the early morning to Texas who doesn't fill out of state prescriptions. I asked the pharmacist once again for privacy and asked her to please leave me alone. She reached for the phone and told me she didn't want me or my kind in HER store. The pharmacist said he wouldn't call my doctor or receive a call a from him. I reminded him that on the west coast that it was two hours different and he was waiting to verify my script if he had any problem with it before he left his shift as his office is also 24 hour emergency. Then I was told that it was Walgreens policy not to fill pain medication after 8pm. Which in my history I have a record of the majority of mine filled after 9pm as I work late and why I needed to use their 24 hour services which the day shift clearly said was a service they provided and had verified it already. I needed to fill it as I travel for work and needed it before I left hence the reason I was there. I'm angry to have been called an addict and a drug seeker by a staff member eavesdropping as well as my Rights being violated. I drove another hour and 45 min and Mike the pharmacist in St Joe apologized for the actions of the staff in Liberty and had it filled and in my hand in less than 10 min. He told me he read the notes in the computer that were extensive and since it was the same Dr and same amount and it was clearly written with a fill in date as well as the doctor putting my diagnosis as well as more info than needed by law that it was a clean prescription that he wished more Drs wrote like him. He told me it wasn't Walgreens protocol to not fill a prescription for a long time client such as myself that the Liberty was out of line as well as the Manager being behind the area able to hear my private conversation was a violation of patient Dr. privacy acts. If she had on a blue apron that she would have been allowed in earshot that the manager had no business listening much less chiming in as well as threatening to call the police on me to have this"drug addict" removed fro her store. Well I went in tonight through drive through to get a refill. I waited for the other lane to be done and lo and behold another car pulled up and they began to get waited on. I yelled out the window I was next and the guy smiled and said he was sorry I had to wait and this was the customer. I pulled around and went back to the pharmacy asking for the manager and it was the 20 something that had taken the other guy ahead of me. Her response I don't normally work back here. This is not my problem. I told her she was working back here and wasn't doing her job if there are 2 cars ask who is next. I found out I had a partial refill because they didn't have all the medication. This place been a pit for a while now, customer service is non existent and another customer was complaining he couldn't even get through on the phone to speak to someone. I began using this pharmacy and transferring my prescriptions over from Vivion Road. The Vivion location consistently disappointed me in the Pharmacy area. This location is a 24-hour location as well, and it is consistently meeting my needs. I don't understand the complaints about them. The people there are friendly, and service is prompt. This Take Care Clinic is a JOKE. I came to them with a severe throat infection because I didn't have insurance at the time. I cost $85 dollars, plus $20 for a strep throat test, which came back negative. Then the prescription they gave me was for MAGIC MOUTHWASH which is a mixture of Ambesol ($7), Maalox ($9), and Benadryl ($10). You mix it together and gargle it which tastes so disgusting it makes you vomit and then your sore throat gets WORSE! - Thanks Take Care Clinic for the MAGIC MEDICINE! I'll make sure no one I know ever comes there to get robbed of $100+ again. And when I called to complain they laughed and thought it was funny that I had to go see a REAL DOCTOR to get antibiotics. They also told me under no circumstances do they give refunds for the medical attention provided . . . what a joke! read more
