I absolutely love this store from the variety of candle scents to the variety of home decor. I could literally spend so much time (and money) in this store. They already have fall scents ( yes it's mid August but I'm definitely a fall girl!) Today I bought the Apple Tart. They also have a selection of local favorites, which I bought Brookside Bungalow which is a very fresh, clean, relaxing scent. The store will be celebrating their 20th anniversary on Sept 23.... A dozen votive candles for $36 (usually $42.50). Tip -The container of Brookside Bungalow can be brought back and refilled for $2/oz with any of the scents they are filling that month. You can actually bring in any container as long as it holds water.

Lori was a guest on my podcast, Kansas City Confidential, where she shared all about the process of making their products and some of her favorite scents. We talked about how scents are like personalities and how everyone has a scent that fits their personality. Lori and her team are awesome and so hopeful to their customers. I cannot recommend this business enough and hope next time someone wants to buy a candle whether it be for their own use or for a gift that they shop at The Corner Candle Shop!

The peach was my favorite because it had this subtle, juicy flavor that was perfect for a hot day. It's the kind of place you want to bring your friends to or stop into any time you're nearby. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Liberty and looking for a gift or just want a really good fresh lemonade.

Anyway - Birdie, the owner, lives a life of passion and conviction, which she pours into her craft. You can see it in her candles and you can definitely see it in the studio. The candles - which are available in a variety of scents - come with a clever name and backstory. Light and citrusy scents - they're there. Wood and leather - oh yeah. Vanilla - now we're talking. The store had a fantastic variety of scents, from cozy classics to downright unexpected ones. Case in point: Dill Pickle. Yep, I took a whiff. No regrets. Did I buy it? No. But do I feel like a more well-rounded person for having smelled it? Absolutely. The store also had cute votives and other charming little finds. It felt a little sparse in terms of merchandise, but honestly, that didn't take away from the cozy vibe. In the end, I walked out with a unique-scented candle that's going to make an awesome and inexpensive gift. If you love unique scents and friendly vibes, this place is worth a visit!
