However, Village Pharmacy is less than a mile from my home and I pass by it at least twice a day. I have gone to Village Pharmacy several times to pick up various items, get covid shots etc. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Plus they are a private local pharmacy and I like the idea of keeping my money in my community. Not sure if they will be cheaper than my present pharmacy, but paying a little extra to keep the money in our community might be worth it. Will have to put this on my "to do list" this year.

I was doing this for about 8 months until our pharmacy close to home finally got my medicine back in stock. 2 months later they are out again and now these folks won't fill for me anymore. I was using my health insurance and everything, honest and upfront about the situation and there is absolutely no reason to refuse service to me. The real reason behind it is I only take 2 medications because I am otherwise healthy. If I had several they would have had no problem with it. But my 2 medications are apparently not adequate business to treat me like a person. Very sad hopefully this saves someone else the time and trouble.

They were patient with my questions and even though I wasn't even their customer (yet), they treated me like I was a valued customer. The location is on 31. I'm new to the area and learning the highways (as well as adjusting to the traffic! ), but found it easily. I will say, the driveway to pull into the front of the store is narrow and easy to pass. I ended up in the second, larger driveway and had to circle back. The storefront also doesn't look like a typical pharmacy. It looks more like a set of offices. Besides the one row of parking in front of the building, there is also a small deck to park in. (See photo) The store is super organized (which was SO pleasing to this gal!) as well as clean. They had antique items about the store that I loved as well. Like the old horoscope/weight machine! Seeing that really took me back! So much nostalgia. The staff are amazing. Julie helped me at the pick up window. When I asked for a special request, she didn't huff or act annoyed like some will do, but instead said she'd be happy to see what she could do. As I waited, I spoke briefly with a sweet lady off to the side of the pick up window. I didn't catch her name but I believe it might start with a Z? Either way, super nice employees there! I also got to witness how they interacted with a disabled gentleman that came in and needed a bit more time and attention. They gave him the time, kindness, patience and dignity he deserved. I was able to save money by purchasing my medication here. I really appreciated that aspect! I am thoroughly I impressed with this pharmacy! I highly recommend it. I was afraid with it having a 1-800 number that it was some far off pharmacy trying to act like they were local (scan vibes), so I was pleasantly surprised to see they're very legit and also fabulous to boot!

One of their delivery trucks was delayed because of the weather, & so I would not go without my medication, Shelby facilitated a pick up from another location- another employee drove to pick it up, and my rx was filled before they closed. It's little things like this that make this "hometown pharmacy" a million times better than any other out there. Thank you again!

So I went inside and literally begged the lady to unlock the bathroom so that we could use it, because the bathroom has apparently closed at 9 (weird when she was using it when we literally pulled up). We have been driving for four hours and still had another two to go. Tried the shell across the street and their bathroom was out of service. So this was one of the last places we could go to (and are now literally in pain trying to find another bathroom). I told her all this and she very rudely said okay and walked around to go unlock the bathroom. She puts the key in, jiggles it, and then walks away. I pull the door and it is still locked. We just left then because there was no getting anywhere with that situation. So, please patron somewhere else because that was just a rude, terrible experience, considering we even topped off our tank there to be nice and not just use the bathroom. I can understand not having the bathroom open because of sanitation reasons, but to pretend to unlock the door was just beyond unbelievable, especially considering that I had not been rude, or demanding, really just pleading. So go to the racetrac instead, it's just a little ways over and probably much cleaner than Murphy bathroom anyways.
